Not gonna lie, over the entire summer I think we went to Tidal Wave twice with our campers, whereas we went to the rapids ride at least once a week. I didn't think Tidal Wave was all that bad, though. I at least felt they tried to make it cool at the beginning. Was a bit long and still lacking, and we didn't get that wet either, but why close it now? It's still a water ride in a park that gets HOT over the summer, and they decide to close it just before the summer starts. Something must have gone wrong that made it more worth it to close than fix. I'd be curious to find out.

Wine + margaritas = bad combo. Soon I'll be going for my recovery food... Subway sandwich and Sprite. Nothing like a nice footlong to get your mind off a hangover -

On accident, about 2 days ago. On purpose, probably two months ago when I snuck back into my own home (after I left for a dr. appt but came back when I found out the dr. was sick) and scared the crap out of my bf who thought I was an intruder. When was the last time you visited a new theme park? -

Thanks for all the help, guys! Guess I'll buy one at the next Cedar Fair park I visit, which may end up being KI. All the benefits sound great and definitely worth the higher cost in the end. My Six Flags Gold Pass benefits (like BAFF days) are really only valid at my home park, so I'm glad that I might be able to get friends into Cedar Point even if I buy my pass at KI. Hint hint to my friends who I have been pressuring to visit Ohio with me Oh, and coming from Cali, prepare to have your mind blown on how much cheaper things are in Ohio. I was already blown away when I looked at apartments in the area and how much cheaper they were for more amenities. Definitely excited for that -
What is your favorite TV-series?

Been getting really into Breaking Bad lately. Been binge watching it and I'm already about halfway into season 4. I've been making comments about meth lately (like just now I found a plastic bag of rock salt and said, "I found your bag of meth") and it's been really throwing some people off until I explain. Thankfully, one of the students I tutor is watching it too and actually found one of my meth jokes funny. -

So most likely I'll be moving to Ohio later this year, making KI my new home park. I've always had SFDK as my home park so I've never bought a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass. I had a Gold Pass at CGA a few years ago but that's been my extent of Cedar Fair pass ownership. Since Cedar Point doesn't seem too far away and there are other Cedar Fair parks within a drive of less than I take to get to SFMM now, I'm definitely planning on purchasing a Platinum Pass. However, I have admittedly no idea how a Platinum Pass works. Are there special perks for buying it at your "home park" vs any Cedar Fair park? Do perks like early entry work at any Cedar Fair park, or just the one you processed the pass at? Is there a special time of year when they go on sale or it's best to buy them? -
That looks amazing. Looks like it'll gather some real nice airtime on some of those hills I'm really looking forward to most likely riding this ride this year! Should be my 4th or 5th RMC by then I'm also jealous that this RMC is already testing. Joker still isn't finished constructing and I was hoping to ride it before I move At least I'll be able to ride this!

Yess!! I definitely think I would prefer plenty of rerides on Skyrush than anything at Dorney, really. I'm not a huge fan of waterparks and I'm not sure how warm it will be in late April anyway. From your two cents, it sounds like my plan of buying a two-day ticket is the best one. Also, props if anyone has any pizza joint suggestions in Philly or New York. I pizza! I can't believe it's already going to be April tomorrow. I'll be flying out in less than two weeks! P.S. Friday, April 29 I don't think my friend will be joining me, so I could use some company if anyone was planning to go that day! -
Yes. Do you remember what it was like to have dial-up internet?

If you get there early and go to the low capacity rides like Fahrenheit first, and follow a good schedule, the lines shouldn't be a problem if you know what you're doing. I usually like to go to Fahrenheit first, and do the rides near the center of the park. Then I like to go to Great Bear, then go to the other rides near the front of the park. Then I wait a while, eat, or take videos or pictures, then go to the back at the park when most of the crowds are at the water park. It also depends on what rides you want to do. If you want to get every coaster credit, you could definitely get it done in one day easily. If you want to go on water rides (Coal Cracker is one of the best log flumes I've been on), or flat rides, it will be a little bit more difficult. But it can still be done in one day. If it's possible, I would recommend getting the Preview Plan. This lets you get into the park 2.5 hours before the park closes on one evening, and then you get the whole day afterwards. This lets you do the rides at the front of the park while most of the crowds are near the back of the park. If you do the Preview Plan, you can do everything done with no problem. I've been going to this park for almost 10 years since I was very small, and this is what has worked for my family the most. This is one of the best parks in the country, and I hope you have a great time! What about getting a two-day pass? That's what I was planning on doing to make sure I could get everything done plus rerides. I wouldn't be able to preview because I'd be going all day Friday and Saturday anyway, but if I just went on Saturday I could preview on Friday. I'm talking about summer opening weekend, BTW. I have no idea how busy the park might be so I figured I'd feel better if I had two days at the park, but I'm open to other suggestions. If I only did one day, I could probably fit in another theme park that weekend. I'm already planning Knoebel's for Sunday but there are other parks in the area that I've never been to, like Dorney. -

Never! But there are some I generally avoid (Boomerangs, CGA Vortex, rerides on SLC, etc.) When was the last time you were shocked about a theme park announcement? -
Yes! Does your home park have a major competitor in the area?
-
I don't know their actual rain policy but we went on a very rainy and windy day in February and I thought everything might close, but the only rides open were Scream, Batman, Riddler's, Apocalypse, Viper, and later Tatsu opened for a bit. They claimed the track needed to dry on TC before they would open it.

"Something Divine" by NYVES Finally figured out how to spell the name of this band. I've been hearing this song on the radio for weeks and LOVED it. Now I'll have a nice album to jam to on my drive today -
If I told you, I'd have to kill you Do you like cats?
