  1. ^^Yeah it's weird, I couldn't find it at first either until I saw that one of my friends had shared it. Here ya go! I'm seriously so excited for this! It looks like there are some great moments of airtime on this!
  2. ^^That's a good one! Okay, I'll chime in with my recent favorite inappropriate joke. One day, a farmer found that his chickens had fallen into a large pit on his property. He goes and gets his Mercedes, ties a rope to the car, and backs the car to the edge of the pit, but no matter what he does, he just can't get the chickens out of the pit. Having a different idea, he goes and gets his best mustang. Now, this mustang had a gigantic penis, the biggest of any horse on the farm. So the horse straddles the pit, and the chickens grab on and the horse is able to get them out. Moral of the story? If you're hung like a horse, you don't need a Mercedes to pick up chicks!
  3. Sooooo glad to hear this! I'll be moving to Ohio soon and that was something I hated when I visited Pennsylvania recently. No reason not to sell good wine in the grocery store!
  4. ^Agreed, but they did match single riders on opening of Superman and on very busy days during its first season. I feel like they'll at least do that.
  5. Some of you are super pro! I'm definitely not but here is my contribution: SFGAdv My sister took this one on my device. SFDK
  6. I found this on Twitter: It was in response to the site that posted the Youtube video. Idk why they're not making it super public but it seems more legit now. Hopefully we'll get more information soon.
  7. Great news! I didn't get to ride Fahrenheit, but on my recent trip to Hershey, I rode Storm Runner 3 times. The first time, I was hands-free the entire ride and found it a bit uncomfortable. By my third ride, I had realized that the most comfortable way to ride it (after the launch) was to hold on above the shoulders. These new restraints should improve the ride experience a lot and allow for comfortable, hands-free riding!
  8. yeah the only place where I've seen anyone say may 27th for public opening is here. Same, except I saw a GP (assuming it was a GP) post a comment on the SFDK FB page that mentioned she saw the opening date on a Youtube video, but I haven't been able to find the video.
  9. Yes! I wanted to camp at Knoebel's but it didn't work out this time. Hopefully next time! Until then, I'll probably camp this summer in my area. Do you think Lightning Rod will ever open?
  10. Dang I didn't know Sheikra could hold that many riders! It must be the highest-capacity coaster in the world! 5 trains, with 24 passengers per train. If 3 of the trains were out on the course. One on the lift hill, one just before the holding brake, and one on the final brake run (Assuming there were two in the station) Just in the 3 trains on the course would be 72 passengers. So having 64 people stuck on the ride is not nearly that impossible. I knew someone was gonna say multiple trains, but the picture and description was of the lift hill, so I assumed they probably meant 24 and mistyped it. EDIT: You're right Bay News 9
  11. Marine World is the best name for the park IMHO. Discovery Kingdom is something I never felt exactly fits because sadly the education from the animal exhibit is pretty minimal. The workers who are staffed at exhibits to make sure people behave well only have fact sheets they read from. After the Joker opens hopefully they'll spend a year or two revitalizing the animal programs of the park. My family really only knows it as Marine World. It'll always be Marine World to us! I get why they changed it though, since there are no longer orcas so the only real "marine" draw is the dolphins. I'm still not fully used to Discovery Kingdom as the name and half my enthusiast friends just say "SFDK." I just got REALLY excited!! Does anyone have a link to the press release or know what what time it will be opening/if there is a season pass preview?
  12. Dang I didn't know Sheikra could hold that many riders! It must be the highest-capacity coaster in the world! I saw this on the news and laughed to myself when they said which coaster it was. When we did a behind the scenes last year with the Sheikra staff, they talked about how they do routine practices with their employees for lift-hill evacuation and building an evacuation floor as quickly as possible. If I recall, even at the fastest it still takes over an hour to build. So 2 hours seems like a fairly normal evacuation time for this ride.
  13. Actually, no. I keep somehow missing them. Have you been swimming yet this year?
  14. ^people have been asking if I can do this or that around Memorial Day weekend, and I've had to respond, "yes... Unless Marine World opens their new coaster then." It seems like it won't be opening Memorial Weekend or I feel like they would have said something by now, but my family [sorta] understands that I'm clearing my schedule as soon as we get an opening date!
  15. I had to watch it after you wrote this, and I face-palmed when he didn't even try to describe what a dive coaster was. Guess she was the prettiest lady he had talked to in a while! As for SFMM... it would be interesting if they tried to get a dive coaster in the next few years because of CP, but as much as I do love dive coasters, I'd be more in favor of them getting something completely new and unique. Of course, it's gotta be record-breaking!
  16. No, I don't like to cook in general. But if I do cook for others, I try to do a well enough job to get lots of compliments and feel like I did something good Do you like to watch scary movies?
  17. Yes, I actually played bass for my church band this morning, and I've played violin (off and on in recent years) since I was 10. Do you have a cat?
  18. Yes! I'm staying in the mountains this summer, so I'll probably do a lot of that this summer! Much better than swimming pools. Do you enjoy swimming in the ocean?
  19. My non-enthusiast friend actually prefers his wooden coasters rough. I guess they feel more "authentic" to him? I really, really don't understand. His favorite coaster currently is Apocalypse, even after riding El Toro. Before that, his favorite was Gwazi. Personally, I can handle roughness to an extent as long as it doesn't hurt me too bad. I don't necessarily rate a smoother coaster better if the elements aren't better. I would rather ride an exciting, rough coaster than a boring, smooth one. I also usually try to give a courtesy ride to every coaster (within limits) and have found that even some of the notoriously rough ones have their good days and fun rides. Also, it sometimes makes the ride more thrilling to me to not know if it's gonna beat the crap out of me that day or not. But I have my limits, I'll usually only do those coasters once even if I get a good ride, and I'm still not gonna pass up better coasters for them or rank them higher just because I got a good ride on one day. For example: Scream at SFMM. Last time we rode it was in the rain and actually pretty thrilling. It only bumped me hard once. I accepted that I enjoyed it that day, but we didn't ride it again. Next time I go to SFMM, I might ride it if there's no line and I've done everything else and/or have a lot of time to kill.
  20. Rarely, and it depends on how many people are giving attention. Less is better, IMO. It was cool being in the dolphin show at SFDK, but I think the dolphins were the real centers of attention Did you ever act in a play?
  21. AHH I was almost gonna go that day but was worried because of the rain. I also wanted to save my second ticket for a day when Fahrenheit and Lightning Racers would be open. So my last coaster was Phoenix at Knoebel's on Saturday, 4/30. That ride was amazing The whole park was amazing!
  22. Yes Are you giving your mother flowers on Mother's day?
  23. Goliath is good for the drop, but TC when it duels is just something else. They're pretty close in my mind but Wicked Cyclone blows both away.
  24. Mind as well post this here... When do the Cedar Fair parks start selling 2017 Platinum Passes?
  25. Go fish Would you consider yourself a strong swimmer?
