I don't know about other coaster manufacturers but I do know that on Mack coasters the default brake position is closed. If there is no power feeding the air compressors the brakes close. They rely on air pressure to open them. In an emergency stop the computer pretty much just shuts off the power to the ride, thus resulting in all the brakes closing.

Fast Track, Fast Pass, whatever... I hate them all. Thorpe Park being a classic example of where the Fast Track system causes the main queue to double in time. Also, parks not using all the trains on a coaster, really bugs me, especially in high season. Legoland's Jungle Coaster is understandable though since the cars are ALWAYS being fixed!

Sorry but in the UK we dont have baggers. When we go shopping you normally fill the bags yourself. Apart from a paper round there is not much you can do until you are 16 and you have been given your national insurance number which entitles you to work in the UK. Unlucky for you! Luckily for me TPR is one of the few sites that isn't blocked at my school. The school normally blocks all forums, video sites, etc but somehow TPR has slipped through the net despite the far smaller forum southparks.org being blocked.

Since this is Thorpe Park expect the rides to break down. When I went yesterday most of Lost City only started operating at 10 am despite a park opening time of 9:30 am. My personal favourite order to do the rides is this: Vortex Rush Colossus Samurai Slammer Loggers Leap Nemesis Inferno Detonator Stealth Other rides can normally just be slotted in without too much hastle. When running 2 trains Stealth doesn't tend to get a long queue, when it is running just one, you are doomed. The Rumba Rapids queue, even when stretching out of the entrance tends to move quickly when they are filling the boats properly. As for Fastpass, I don't tend to use it. Some people love using it, others hate it. The main fact though is when Thorpe oversell Fastrack it creates hell for everyone. British kids return to school at the beginning of September. If you go to Thorpe during the British school holidays expect it to be busy, really busy. Yesterday Colossus 120 mins, Tidal wave >99 mins and Stealth 80 mins Have a good time

This idea is simply not economic simply due to the amounts of fuel that would need to be produced. Oil will take many years to run out, it will just become harder to extract it and become less economic to do so. This is all working on the fact though that our major cities won't be underwater by 2020 due to global warming. For the common people it is just simply better to get a more fuel efficient car. Dump the 15 mpg 4X4 and buy a 55 mpg Citroen C1. Cheaper for you and supposedly better for the planet.

In Windsor (UK) it is now £1.30 for a litre of Diesel.

When they supposedly "boosted" Stealth last year they did not actually increase the top speed. The original top speed was 80mph, its top speed now is 80mph. All they did was "tweak the nitrogen boosters" so that it accelerated more quickly. Before it did 0-80 in 2.3 seconds. Now it supposedly does 0-80 in less than 2 seconds. (I think I read 1.8 seconds somewhere)

Wow, I knew about Stealth, thought it was just kind of funny There have been rumours that something happened on Rush for a couple of days on Southparks but there wasn't much info about it. Nemesis. I love its random layout and the theming. I loved Duelling Dragons but they weren't better than Nemmy. Nemesis Inferno is good though.... and its getting faster and faster each year. The forces around the loop can be crazy sometimes in the back.
