Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Interesting fact: every Intamin and Arrow coaster in the park is able to dispatch a train with every lap bar/harness all the way up. I’m not sure how the RMC operating systems work. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

It's so interesting to see those Tomb Raider seats just lying around! Ugh, what I would give to experience that amazing ride again... Also, does anyone happen to know more information about Flight of Fear's train situation? I find it so strange that the coaster opened with 4 six-car trains, and now they only run 2 five-car trains. Kings Island as a whole has pretty great operations, usually operating every ride at full capacity, and Flight of Fear is one of the more popular coasters in the park. Why would they only convert 2 of the trains to lap-bars only and shorten them? It seems bizarre. -

Oh no! I hope this is only temporary (maybe they ran out for the weekend?) because every time I've eaten Chickie & Pete's at CP in the past they've had those delicious crinkle-cut fries! -

You will be so much happier choosing to do Busch Gardens instead! I know you said you've already been to both, but just as a reminder...Busch Gardens is one of the most amazing parks in the world and Myrtle Beach is absolutely wretched. lol (but seriously) -

Europe Trip Help - May 2018

^Done. Trip planning complete. Thanks Robb! -
Hi friends! Next month (May 9-23), I'm going on a two week, 11-park trip to Europe. This will be my first time traveling abroad and I am incredibly excited. I'm going with two friends I used to work with at Cedar Point, so hopefully they'll be able to keep up. Haha! We are staying at a mixture of AirBNB's and hotels in Paris, Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium and we'll be renting a car to get from place to place. I've included our itinerary below. It's a pretty tight schedule but hopefully still achievable. I'd love to hear any suggestions you have if you have visited these parks or taken a similar trip in the past. Things such as specific ride and show advice, hidden gems in parks, food and travel suggestions, and important things to see/do in Paris and along the route would be greatly appreciated! As well as any great discounts you are aware of or things I should know about traveling in Europe that I may not have thought about yet. Thanks guys! Wed – Flight departs Thu – Arrive in Paris/Disney Paris Studios Fri – Disneyland Paris Sat – Paris sightseeing/Travel day Sun – Holiday Park, then travel to Europa Park Mon – Europa Park Tue – Europa Park, then travel to Phantasialand Wed – Phantasialand Thu – Travel to/attend Movie Park Germany, then travel to Walibi Holland **May also stop at Toverland this day if time allows** Fri – Walibi Holland, then travel to Efteling Sat – Efteling, then travel to Walibi Belgium Sun – Walibi Belgium, then travel to Park Asterix Mon – Park Asterix Tue – Explore Paris Wed – Fly home

^Haha! I'm opening the show, going on a coaster trip to Europe for two weeks, then coming back to do the show for a weekend, then heading to Kentucky for two weeks to do a wedding, Cedar Point, and a movie, and then coming back to finish the run. It's going to be a busy couple months!

“Roller coaster, just add water” Lol this is brilliant! Can this be a real thing? Also, that deck of cards is awesome. Definitely a souvenir I’d actually buy. -

Sure, agreed, to an extent. But where do you draw the line? Without guest feedback, bad habits will just get worse and worse. How long can a park let the guest experience deteriorate before it’s no longer fun? If you went to a steakhouse and ordered/paid for a porterhouse, then after waiting an hour the server brought you a dried up chicken leg, would you just eat it with the attitude of, “Hey, I came to a restaurant and got to eat. I could be a starving child in Africa!” I don’t think so. Hopefully management will take all the feedback they’ve been receiving recently and make positive changes.
