  2. Tomb Raider was my absolute favorite amusement attraction ever. Watching these videos is almost painful for me, knowing (as was the closing sentiment of this featurette) that we will probably never see something like this again.
  3. Multiple people working on Green Lantern today, adding trims all over the coaster. I mean, I don’t think there’s a 30 foot section of track on that thing without a trim now. It’ll be interesting to see how it rides... I’m one of the few who’ve always loved Green Lantern. (And yes, I do love rides that make me feel like I’m going to die.) Oh! And I got this cool shot of Viper at sunset.
  4. Fury and I305 would like a word with you I will give you those two. My remarks are mostly in response to numerous people on this board who think a giga is the answer to all their dreams. It's not necessarily. And while TC is a bit of a "bucking bronco" style, it does suffer from a massive buzz kill right in the middle of the ride just when things get going called "the second lift hill". While I enjoy the ride as a whole, what I'd really like to see is a ride with crazy laterals, length, and virtual non-stop action/no brake run. On that front, El Toro and Maverick deliver. And I'll grant Fury and I305 do as well, though I like the fact the other two can do it without the height, which make them even more surprising. Let's think about which rides at SFMM are the longest in terms of not having a massive brake or lift hill in the middle. Going off memory, Tatsu, X2, Riddler, Apocalypse, Ninja, Scream, and sort of Revolution. Fine rides, mostly, but nothing in comparison to non-stop, WTF is going on, rides given by Maverick or El Toro (Tatsu and X2 being the closest--but they're both gimmicky--with Apocalypse maybe in the running if it was actually smooth again). Maverick literally hits a brake run and comes to a nearly complete stop right in the middle of the ride...lol
  5. ^This latest plan sounds great, Zach. From your previous posts and trip reports it seems like we have very similar tastes in parks and coasters. I'd be willing to bet you will absolutely love Kennywood and Hersheypark, and 8 hours at Knoebel's will be far more than enough.
  6. I really hope this style launch remains popular. I'm not a fan of the 3-part launch fad at all.
  7. ^Yessir!
  8. I’m an actor! I’ve been working on smaller projects for a while, but I moved to LA a year ago and then last fall I booked roles in my first major movie and my first major network tv show! Upwards from here!
  9. ^I have a MoviePass too! It’s been the highlight of my year and I think it’s exactly what we needed to reinvigorate the industry. I’m absolutely obsessed with The Greatest Showman soundtrack right now. Thought the movie was a little cliche and rushed the first time I saw it, but after knowing what to expect, I loved it the second time. My favorite award season films this year are Three Billboards, I Tonya, and The Shape of Water. And the biggest surprise of the year for me was Jumanji. Worst film of the year: The Circle.
  10. ^Spinning wild mouse in a box >>>>>>> Wild mouse
  11. Pretty sure during the inversions the headrest in front of you could do quite some damage if your hands are caught in the wrong place. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. (Another reason for the shoulder restraints...so those headrests can only hit your arms, not your face.)
  12. ^^I rode one of these mini Zamperla frisbees at Boomers in Fort Lauderdale and it was probably the best frisbee ride I've ever been on.
  13. If you can get a Six Flags Gold Pass for $85 (or even $95), DEFINITELY do it. Parking alone at each park is $25! Plus, by the time you get here in June, regular admission will be up near $80 anyway. So I say go ahead and pull the trigger!
  14. This is awesome, guys! Thank you so much for taking this project on. Unfortunately, my rankings still aren't saving. They still revert back to the original order every time I click off of the rankings tab and then back onto it (even after manually pressing "save"). Also, it would be super helpful/time conserving if the page would scroll up as you dragged a coaster toward the top of the list.
  15. Would someone with a better education than myself (...or a native German) care to translate? Lol
  16. Could the area support some more adult nightlife venues? I’d love to see that.
  17. Test for Guardians of the Galaxy, perhaps?
  18. ^Right?? I figured Cedar Fair parks would be the only ones to install neckbelts on their Mack spinners!
  19. ^Oh yeah! Islands of Adventure would be a great name for a park in Orlando!
  20. LOLOLOL! Right?! Did Six Flags forget they already put this ride in 2 years ago? Ha. Ohhh that's good. Anyway, still a really cool addition.
  21. Larry, I understand where you're coming from, but in my opinion, Cylcone hadn't "seen it's day." While it could be rough and aggressive, I saw the Georgia Cyclone as a semi-modern wooden coaster with an incredibly fun, surprisingly-long layout full of unexpected, super thrilling moments. It was certainly no Mean Streak.
  22. Perfect addition to Magic Mountain! Bring on the season pass sale!
  23. I can't believe a US park is actually installing one of these! Awesome!
  24. I hate being a complainer...but I absolutely loved Georgia Cyclone, and I'm sad to be losing it to this half-a-coaster.
