I think top spins are super fun to both ride and watch. Especially ones like this with such great theming. I’m sad to see KD has removed two of their most unique and well-themed rides in 2 seasons without replacement. (And if the replacement is a B&M wing coaster... )

Fantastic report per usual, Andy! I always love your structure. I put this park into Apple Maps just now and realized I drove right by it on I-70 three summers ago. So...that’s frustrating. On the bright side, I’d have had to go back for the Haunted Mine Drop anyway. A drop tower. IN A BOX (kind of)!!! How could it get better than that for me? And can you imagine what it would be like using “the method”?!?! Speaking of rides in boxes: one of my favorites is Runaway Mountain at Six Flags Over Texas. How does the S&MC model compare to Premier’s take on the layout? I’ve always wanted to try one.

Outside of the Cedar Point resorts, Econo Lodge is definitely the way to go as far as price and convenience. Plus, it’s right across the street from Nachos—the best Mexican restaurant in Sandusky!!

Visited KI on Wednesday. High for the day was 27 and when I arrived around 7pm it was around 24 degrees out. I was shocked to see Mystic Timbers running! Even more shocking, they were running TWO trains! Got a fun, relatively slow ride in with about 6 of us total on the train. I believe they shut all the rides down (including the train) around 8pm when the temps dropped below 20. Super cold night but the park sure looked beautiful!

I absolutely love everything about this announcement. Cedar Point has been trying to call itself a destination resort for years, but it’s been missing that little something “extra” to make it more than just a giant amusement park. The themed family boat ride, nighttime parade, and Forbidden Frontier are definitely steps in the right direction toward making it a complete multi-day experience. But we still need a dark ride.

WOW I love everything about it. Did we already know this would have 2-across seating or is this new information? The new Vekoma’s are fantastic and this looks to continue that new tradition.

Lots of great stuff! I rode the Nebulaz flat at Luna Park this summer and it was really fun, though not super thrilling. I’d love to try out that Crazy Surf flat! I just can’t believe PTC designed “new” trains but did nothing about those wretched lapbars.

Fury looks so gorgeous in those photos! I hope Kings Island gets a giga coaster some day.
