  1. Does PTC really not make parts for buzz bars anymore? I'm definitely under-informed, but that just seems hard to believe.
  2. The Arthur roller coaster is so much fun. I just felt like I needed to put that out in the universe.
  3. It's definitely not AS bad as SLC's with the old restraints, in that the side-to-side headbanging is eliminated. But the trains still don't track well, so you'll still be tossed and shuffled around, and the lap restraint gets tighter and tighter throughout the course, making the brake-run quite uncomfortable.
  4. I feel like the existence of Banshee's rattle (especially near the back) is an objective thing. It does exist. Now whether you consider that feeling to be "rough" compared to your other coaster experiences, that's where opinions come into play. It's definitely weird that some B&M's have an uncomfortable rattle and others, even older ones, don't. I don't have the answer for why.
  5. Coming soon to a cruise ship near you!
  6. Return of the Green Train for Millennium’s 20th birthday?!
  7. While losing internationals is a huge blow, CP should be able to recoup some employees from canceled summer camps/sports leagues.
  8. Well...it’s definitely...clean...
  9. Wow! What a great looking family coaster in a cool setting. It goes on forever!
  10. While this doesn’t necessarily mean the project couldn’t still be delayed, it’s really exciting to see they’re this far along in the process! What an awesome addition to the Mountain!
  11. I’m hating this top spin genocide.
  12. ^Glad to hear things are going well so far! With Universal’s intention to open in a little over a week, I can’t imagine Disney will be too far behind. Hoping to make it to Orlando shortly after everything gets going again! I wonder if cast members will be blacked out for a while...?
  13. Amusement Insiders have a history of reliable rumors. If accurate, this seems like a great addition for Marineland. It's a spectacle to watch--just like the topple towers--but WAY more fun!
  14. ^You're jumping the gun in assuming Fast Lane won't still be an option. It could very well be that if you purchase Fast Lane, you'll use the same app, but a quicker return time. It's all speculation at this point. Chill out.
  15. Were there 2 different Giant Dippers?
  16. Those pictures bring back so many memories! Thanks John! I know Chang isn’t super well-regarded, but it did seem special having a giant B&M in Kentucky. And Twisted Twins was crap, but I remember those drops feeling SO steep. Very thrilling sitting in the back with no seatbelts! Thinking back, SFKK had such a great collection of flats at one point. Intamin drop tower, Chaos, Enterprise, Rainbow, Quake (Vekoma Waikiki Wave). There’s definitely something about those times that I miss.
  17. Gosh I love this park. Renovating Steel Phantom into Phantom’s Revenge was such a brilliant move. I only wish Pitt Fall was still around!
  18. Noticeable for sure but not restrictive. They have a little bit of give to them which means you don't lose out on any airtime but there's enough pressure to keep your body from being thrown around in the twisties. Lech Coaster's setup was probably the best out of the ones we did on the Europe trip (Python, Speed of Sound, Formula, Mayan, Lech Coaster). On the newer models, hands-up riding is comfortable too. Agreed! The latest version on Lech Coaster (this one appears to have them too) are much thinner and less restrictive than the vests we’ve seen on any newer Vekoma or B&M coaster in the states so far. I also thought it was interesting that Tripsdrill’s invert is vest-free. However, while I think it looks fantastic, it does seem to be a bit tamer than these large sit down loopers.
  19. I wonder how much Lech Coaster cost? RCDB lists 12 million EUR while Coasterpedia lists 4.36 million EUR. Monster cost $9 million, so regardless, I don’t see a new Vekoma coaster being out of the realm of possibility. I also can’t imagine a better addition for this park (especially as a replacement for Dragon). Vekoma’s new creations are truly fantastic. A top 20 coaster in Iowa? What a way to really put this park on the map.
  20. Gorgeous pics per usual, Andy! I love that these photos show how amusement parks bring such a diverse group of people together for one purpose--to have fun! It's a really special thing.
  21. ^I absolutely love the grand crescendo as a girl pulls a chocolate bar and styrofoam box out of a paper bag.
  22. Did you ride Mad Mill? That looked about ten times worse. Did anybody ride more than like, 3 things at Duinrell? That place was mobbed. LOL! I was thinking the same thing. "Wait, AJ, you actually got to ride things at Duinrell?" I had also forgotten about the 3rd raft experience until this moment. Oh my...
  23. Are we being punished? Why does this world keep robbing us of wonderful Intamin experiences??
