Looks like the Schwarzkopf shuttle loop is going, too. Hopefully it finds a new home, as well! But do I see dueling family shuttle coasters in the top right of the concept art? Not sure if those red and yellow lines are coaster tracks or decorative pieces...

Superman is really unique in that the cars drop at different times, making every cycle different and the anticipation at the top even more thrilling. In my opinion, it’s one of the main draws of the park. I’d really hate to see it go.

DAMMIT 2020!!! In all seriousness, this could be a totally false rumor. However, I feel like there are lots of ears on the ground at SFStL. Most of the rumors we see come out of there seem to come true.

Super cool to see that Intamin has already sold one of their Hot Racer coasters. It’ll be really interesting to see how these compare to the RMC Raptors. While the layout looks a bit tamer, I think the train/restraint design looks MUCH better on Intamin’s version. With that being said, Big Dipper doesn’t seem to be a very lucky name for coasters in this park...

Great news! Racer was absolutely brutal this season. Now just turn one side backwards and it might be worth riding again!

Yikes. It’s kind of crazy to see how big of a failure the topper track has turned out to be. Granted, I’m sure it would’ve fared better on less extreme coasters, but it certainly hasn’t saved on maintenance costs or had the long-term durability that RMC (or these parks) originally envisioned.

^My thoughts exactly! 20 years ago Premier were industry leaders in improving rider experience by retrofitting their trains with lap bars only. Then 10 years ago they showed us these exact trains (Sky Rocket @Kennywood) don’t need OTSRs... and now they’re putting them on every one of their new coasters?! Do Premier and these parks not realize how much the “comfort” collars suck? Because they do. So frustrating and a super disappointing trend. Looks like they’re going on the new Manhattan Express trains too. Such a wasted opportunity.

While that pricing does sound ridiculous, the Stranger Things drive-thru experience happening 30 miles south is charging $79 for 2 people and it’s sold out through mid FEBRUARY! Angelenos are desperate for fun things to do.

^I wouldn’t be surprised by that at all. But I assume this is the most cost-effective solution for now.

After riding Twisted Cyclone, I’ve developed an appreciation for RMC’s that take more time to do less. Wildfire is another great example of this. I think Iron Gwazi looks to fall into that category of RMC, so I’m super excited for it. Twisted Colossus, Steel Vengeance, Storm Chaser, Untamed, etc, while all being crazy and impressive coasters, pack in one compact element after the other and the result feels like I’m constantly getting punch in the gut in the name of “airtime.” I know these coasters have their die-hard fans, but I’m personally glad Gwazi appears to deviate from that formula a bit. For the record, my favorite coasters are El Toro, SkyRush, and I305, so I clearly love being thrown around and into the sky. I just don’t think RMC has mastered the art of it...yet.

The drop thrusts riders forward and the pullout is super abrupt. I just can’t imagine that combo with lapbars not resulting in a few bloody noses.

Mystery Mine with lap bars would be game-changing. I already love the thing, but taking such a unique, highly themed coaster and giving it restraints that don’t bash your brains out... I’d go ahead and start planning my next trip! I just hope that wouldn’t mean losing the ridiculous tiny vertical drop off the trestle. That thing is insane. Oh and Lighting Rod actually working sounds cool, too.

Just needed to point out that the second arrow down says “Mystery Line.” Purely a mistake, or an intentional combination of Mystery Mine and Drop Line? The world may never know...

A new coaster in a box at a park I’ve always wanted to visit?!? Take my money!!!!

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but Columbus Day Weekend is typically one of, if not THE most crowded weekends of the year. So just try to mentally prepare yourself for that. Lol Maybe things will be different this year since they’re not having a true “Halloweekends,” but we’re still in the era of the Gold Pass palooza, so...I doubt it.

^Good news: they’re not trims! Lol With a combo of impressive stats, extensive theming, a super unique layout, and Intamin’s super comfy new restraints, this thing looks to be not only the best coaster in Orlando, but one of the best in the world. I really can’t believe Universal is building it—but I’m sure glad they are! Also: 6-car trains?! A full size launched coaster with a top hat and 24-passenger trains...just awesome.

While those are some super fun themed snacks, they definitely don’t look...appetizing. Lol

My recent trip to SDC/Mystic River Falls experience has convinced me to get some Chacos before heading to Orlando next month. They’re supposed to be really comfy and only somewhat ugly.

My roommate got an email yesterday offering a free upgrade to Platinum through the end of 2022 if he doesn’t pause, plus a free extension of the membership for every month the park has been closed. Dang.

Add me to the list of people who are ready for something to be done with Lightning Rod. 7 visits, 1 ride. And it’s still all over their ads, which I find especially annoying.

When I rode there were 4 of us and we all got absolutely soaked. Water *aggressively* pours over the side of the boat with every rapid. There were definitely points when I thought we might sink and drown. Super fun though! Lol

It’s funny, a couple years ago, I couldn’t care much less about GCI’s. Now, after Mystic Timbers, Prowler, and their refurb of Ghostrider, I’m all about them. Texas Stingray looks like the best of the bunch and I can’t wait to get out there soon!
