  1. ^ Your coaster basically violates all the laws of the contest. That and there's a giant inverted coaster support in the middle of the lift hill.
  2. A few I've encountered over the years... "We've got to ride Psyclone. It's the fastest wooden coaster in the world." (Someone looking at X) - "Wow! I bet that thing is 100 feet!" "A friend of mine rode Flashback last week" (hasn't been open for years) "I got stuck in the loop of Viper few years ago" Also, a friend of mine kept insisting that the figure on top of Superman The Escape is Spiderman. He changed his mind when I rode the ride with him and pointed it out.
  3. Aghhh. I'm sick again (blows nose)
  4. Wow. The new breaks and machinery in the track look great. And I don't think it will affect the frame rate too much. Nolimits as it is is very graphics efficient and I don't think some extra polygons will have that much of an effect. I hope there is also an addition of some new traintypes in the near future (B&M Flying/Vekoma Flying/the giovanola goliath trains/perhaps a 4d train would be nice). But nevetheless, it's great to see new progress being made with Nolimits, just look at the changes that have been added from v1.1 to the NL that is out now...
  5. This may come as a shock but my home park is SFMM and I have never been on X. I know it's weird but everytime I'm there I get too freaked out to ride it. Hopefully next time I visit....
  6. It's actually a pretty good coaster! The layout was great, but the train slowed down ALOT at many points during the ride. The transition to the lift hill as well as a couple others were a bit weird, but nothing that bad. I would have made the elements a bit smaller to increase the intensity though. The drop was especially well done. Overall, I like it.
  7. According to Google, that's 262 feet, more than 60 feet taller than X. I guess that rules out the possibility of it being entirely a clone.
  8. Great Job! That coaster was really awesome. The airtime is amazing! Only weakness I could see is that some parts of the supports were a bit unrealistic.
  9. Wow. Thanks alot for the link! I could seriously read this thing for hours.
  10. When did it stop operating and why? I never got a chance to ride it..
  11. I like the trains on Goliath. They're really big. http://www.rcdb.com/ig615.htm?picture=5
  12. Yes, a trackpiece to the face at 50 mph would definitely cause some pain. And it's not a Vekoma, it's just an extremely screwed up B&M.
  13. Your house is awesome!! I like how there's plants everywhere.
  14. The ride valleys for me after not being able to climb the hill after the loop. But it does look pretty good especially considering it's your first NL coaster.
  15. Why do they have the wheel covers anyway? The non-inverted B&Ms don't.
  16. Goliath at SFMM in the front seat about 2 weeks ago.
  17. I have always thought that there should be an option of changing the sizes of the elements. For example, for any piece you are about to add, there should be a little slider that controls the size of the element. (similar to the NoLimits slider when you insert an element). Obviously, RCT has to fit it into their square system, so some size percentages will not be possible, but it will at least allow some variety in the radius of turns, the size of inversions or overbanks, and will increase the uniqueness of one creation from another a bit. It seems completely do-able and will not overcomplicate the game for the average user because the slider can just as well sit there at 100% and not even be used.
  18. Screenshots are taken by pushing F10. They are saved to the My Documents/My Pictures/RCT3 folder Or you can always use a separate program like Fraps as was said earlier.
  19. The printer in the second photo is identical to mine! Oh, and, I obviously lost. I guessed too low (125)
  20. Wow. I just had a blank stare for about 20 seconds after reading that. That is definitely strange. But thanks for posting I guess; I don't think I would make a topic about it if I had a dream like that.
  21. I don't see a reason why it should be ported to the Xbox 360. All it would do would put people with non-HD TVs at a huge disadvantage and create serious issues with controls. And what would be the plus side? It would probably lag just as much if not more with enourmous parks on the X360 as it does on most PCs today.
  22. ^ You're right. All you have to do is type in "107 meters to feet" into google and it says 351.04 meters.
  23. That is SO true! Sometimes society is very contradictory. Anyways, on to me. Many of my friends don't really understand why I enjoy coasters and theme parks so much. But that's OK, I just don't talk to them much about it since I know they don't care about it at all. Then there's my semi-enthusiast friends who love coasters, but don't really care enough to make a big deal about it, join a website, make a trip, etc. I know about two that are like that. Generally though, it really doesn't bother me that many people don't quite understand the hobby, I mean, there's probably many other hobbies that I don't understand either. I have found that the best thing to do is not force things on people. I ocassionally talk to my semi-enthusiast friends about coasters/parks, but I almost never talk to my other friends about it.
