  1. I fixed it. Thanks for pointing that out, I thought I read she was a single mother. I still think it was an accident though, no one should be blamed. A sad situation nonetheless.
  2. I don't neccessarily think shes stupid, I mean she was a [edit: Thanks Wally!] mother doing this for her 3 kids, so Im sure thats what compelled her to stay in the competition. Anyway, I read the radio station did warn in the waiver that there was a risk of dying due to water intoxication. So including that with the fact she could have stopped any time, there isn't really cause for a lawsuit. The station still could have taken some percautions, like during the intervals maybe make the contestants eat something to keep the minerals in their bloodstream. In the end, what Im getting at is really, it was a just a huge accident.. Sucks it was fatal and 3 kids are without their mother, but IMO it really wasn't anyones 'fault' and I dont think the people involved in the contest that worked at the radiostation should have been fired either.
  3. See its the opposite here.. Stores have several PS3s in stock, but no Wiis. In fact, the Best Buy around me had probably over 20, close to 30 PS3s. Ill just be paitent.. I have some 360 games I need to beat first before I get another console anyways.
  4. I went to the Orlando Science Center last weekend for the Otronicon and got the chance to check out Elebits and Wii Sports .. Im sold on this system. I just cannot believe how much the controls can suck you into the game. I knew it would, I just didnt expect how much. Now if only a store around me could get some in stock!
  5. ^lol if Apple loses this lawsuit, watch.. They will turn around and sue Burger King for using the term "Frypod" for their fries.
  6. Eh, it looks amazing, futuristic and probably does alot of amazing things, but its way too overpriced for me.. 500-600 bucks for a cellphone is expensive! If you think about it, its like walking around with a Playstation 3 in your pocket. I really hope that Apple has alot of success with this phone, that way I can get one after the price drops dramatically.
  7. ^^^ Priceless. You are 'know' officially on a roll with the grammatical errors!! [edit] had to add an extra '^'
  8. My coaster goal? To try *NOT* ride roller coasters until after my wife gives birth in August. The key word is try though.. Im sure Ill break down and ride them anyways. Coaster Withdrawls > Coaster Sympathy Pains
  9. Any of the router manufacturers (DLink, Netgear, Linksys, etc) make them, and they all range in price depending on what you get. So far, the cheapest wireless G gaming adapter Ive seen is the D-Link wireless gaming adapter, which you can pick up at Walmart for $65 bucks. Ive found a thread yesterday that claims a wireless USB laptop dongle -which you can usually buy for around $20- will work fine. Im tempted to go buy one to test. If it does work, that would be great. Not only is it cheap, but its powered by USB, which means I wont have to use up another outlet on my power strip just to power my wireless gaming device.
  10. My resolutions are to: -get back into drumming. Learn to play some jazz, maybe take some lessons.. Ive been a slack ass about it for the past 4 or so months and its killing me. I also want to try to work on making more a career out of it by starting to give lessons, and looking into doing studio work. -Get my CCNA. -Since Im now married and expecting a kid, I want to buy a house this year and do everything I can to become a good father to my newborn as well as my stepson. -Lose weight, go to the gym, eat heathy, yadda yadda. -Play less video games. Not gonna happen, but hey, gotta have one unattainable goal on here
  11. I dont know, it doesn't make sense that they would do the change over (if they are even doing it) so close to the opening of Griffon. I wonder how the floor is going to operate with the wide trains anyways.
  12. My brother in law uses a Linksys Wireless gaming adapter to get online rather than the proprietary Microsoft adapter. As far as standard wireless adapters go, I will see if I can borrow one from work to try out. If it works Ill let you know.
  13. Wossamotta U is next to the gigantic bomb, right? If so, Ive only seen it open once, and that was during HHN last year. Its a sports themed bar that I was told is open only during special events and days with a high number of guests in the park. Its a pretty cool little bar. Glad you had a good time despite the rain!
  14. I would recommend GoW, even if you are not into shooters. I personally am not huge on the shooter type games, however the graphics are amazing, and its got a very involved story IMO. It will suck you in and make you a fan. Another game I would highly recommend, especially if you like scarier games, would be Condemned: Criminal Origins. You would probably do fine renting this title because its relatively short, but its an awesome melee based first person game. I am addicted to the new Tony Hawk Project 8 game, if you are a big fan of the THPS series its a must buy. I got the Nyko Intercooler and the HD-DVD drive as far as accessories go.
  15. Screamscape has some pretty good info on the waterpark, as well as a name for it. Aquatica. http://www.screamscape.com/html/seaworld_florida.htm Scroll about half way down.
  16. There is not going to be a theme change. It looks like Freeze was due for a new paint job, and in an effort to save money SF just used all the leftover paint from their superman rides. I would not be suprised if that really was the truth!
  17. You know what they say, any press is good press. Honestly, I know some people that have become interested in the Wii because of these incidents, and intrest is key. Im glad to see Nintendo is reacting quickly with a solution. I can only wonder if Sony would react similarly if their strapless Sixaxis controllers were to end up damaging TVs as well. I was going to hold off on getting a Wii, But seeing the Warioware game changed my mind -Imhotep
  18. Im getting married in 2 weeks, and I found out a few days ago that I'm going to be a dad!!!! Very good timing IMO. Im so excited!
  19. lol when I first saw "pound it" on here, it immediately reminded me of the film Malibu's Most Wanted... The scene where B-Rad G tries to get his dad to "pound it" after he messed up one of his campaign speeches.
  20. <--since I couldnt just put a hat on a pic of my drumset, I tried to draw a Santa playing my kit instead. Excuse my MS Paint skills.
  21. Eh, I dont think the blu-ray has proved anything in comparison to HD-DVD. Thats why I chose on the PS3 launch day to stroll in past the campers and buy a 360 instead. My whole decision is based on the HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray war. So far in head to head comparisons, HD-DVD is doing better... Granted its dual layer HD-DVD vs. single layer Blu-Rays in the head to heads Ive seen, and its only doing better by a small margin, but considering the hefty price tag for Blu-Ray you would think it would be significantly better. Anyways that being said, those comparisons could be enough for most people, and it may give the edge to HD-DVD in this format war. The bottom line for me, Regardless of what format 'wins,' the 360 is not in danger whatsoever, considering all their games are still only being made on the DVD format and there have been no talks of making the games on a Hi Def format... However the same is not said for the PS3 since all their games are going to be made on Blu-Ray disks only, so if Blu-Ray loses you now have a $5-600 paperweight.. or spaceheater.. or whatever you want to call it at that point. I hope if it came down to it, and Blu-Ray went the way of Betamax, that sony has incorporated some sort of backup that will allow developers to make PS3 games on regular DVDs. I figure I will wait and maybe buy one a year from now. Hopefully we will have an outcome in the format wars, and hopefully news on what the PS3 will be capable of if it doesnt go Blu-Ray's way. Sony lost money on the PS2, and they stayed on top.. I believe the same thing happened with Microsoft on both the Xbox and the 360 and definately microsoft is not hurting. I dont think they are digging their own grave at all. They are a huge corporation. Granted, they may endup screwing up big time with this console, but it wont be the nail in the coffin for sony.
  22. ^[edit] let me rephrase that.. There will be a bundle for both the 360 and HD-DVD that will be roughly the same price, but No.. Technically its not the same price becuase you wont be 'forced' to buy the HD-DVD player with the 360.
  23. That was great! Everyone is now looking over at my cubicle with that 'WTF?' face. -Imhotep
