Who do you love (boy or girl?)
Imhotep replied to coasterbuzz36763's topic in Random, Random, Random
I love your mom!! -
Sorry I missed you guys, EJ! And fri my cell died so I couldnt call you (I was taking too many pics with it). Oh well , maybe next time! When we rode jaws our 'actor' cursed twice.. He dropped the s bomb, and said damn once when his shot 'missed' the shark. It was weird, because the whole boat was looking at eachother like "are they allowed to say that?" and a few people seemed a little upset about it (understandably, there were alot of kids on our boat). It was weird, out of the hundereds of times Ive rode jaws I never really expected that to happen. At least it was something new!!

Wow man, Thanks guys so much! Cool Colin, Ill get the cd out to you asap. Same goes to anyone else that wants to PM me their info (hope Im not violating any TOS rules). We have been trying very hard to take this band to the next level for a while, and hopefully it will happen soon. We have been fortunate enough to meet and make friends with a few lucrative people, so we may have some chance. I dont really want to sound like Im blowing smoke, so Ill say this.. Just be sure that we are serious about making this our careers, and we are definately on the hunt for a label that believes in us Kraken King- Hope to see you there man! Look forward to meeting you. Its cool that you've heard of us before! By the way, I love MSI!!! I saw MSI like 4 years ago open for ICP in tampa. They blew me away. Crispy, Thank you, and coming from a fellow drummer I couldnt be more honored. I really loved your stuff when I heard it, and the fact that you laid down all those tracks in one day despite the issues you guys had in the studio (if I remember correctly, some of the songs got lost?) is awesome. I would actually like a cd of your stuff, Ill email your myspace account with my info. We will have to check out BigVin... We may have sent a promo pack to them already, if not its in the mail Monday. -Im "you guys are the greatest" hotep -

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah this music isnt for everyone, but Im glad to see that even those who arent into it still gave it a listen. I really appriciate that . Colin, we are finishing up recording the last song for the album as we speak all that is left is mastering and it will be ready. Id say hopefully if things go right, a month. We have 5 song demos, and Id be more than happy to send you one if you want (that goes for anybody here). If you want to hear more songs we have 9 songs in a player on our homepage, http://www.holotypemusic.com. Its tempremental so tell me if you have problems with it. Lata, \m/. -Imhotep -
Awesome!! cant wait to see the new episodes.. Now if they can only bring back The Critic.. They probably wont though because I think I am the only person on the planet that liked that show

As some of you know, Im the drummer of a heavy metal style band called Holotype based out of Orlando, FL. Our song 'Only Through Glass' has achieved the #1 spot on Garageband.com in the 'Hardcore Metal category', and is also the #4 (however the highest ranking song from a U.S. band) song in the Metal category. heres the link if you want to check it out, http://www.garageband.com/artist/holotype, and click on the song Only Through Glass. You can also read a whole bunch of reviews on the song, and the best part of those reviews is that they are from other musicians who are in bands that are trying to get the number one spot in their respective categories themselves. Im not sure if there are many fans of this style of music on this site, but if this music is up your alley I would love to hear your feedback! -Im "Excited, thought Id share with everyone" hotep

TPR breaks another Intamin Rocket?

^ Because the bus wasnt powered by a hydraulic motor nor was it pulled by a cable. Im sure if it was it would have spelled disaster. -

Giggity Giggity!! Oooo Right.. -
I love them both equally. Ice has the speed and the cobra roll (the near-collision with the wall is bad arse), Fire has the unique immelman and has a little more length to it. I used to favor fire more mainly because of the airtime hill, but I dont really feel the airtime anymore I guess because ive ridden it so much I know to expect it..

Most Disappointing Coaster!
Imhotep replied to Beate's Freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The single biggest let down for me was Volcano. Hydra was also a huge letdown... It looked like so much fun but it ended up being pretty much a lamefest. -
Superman Krypton Coaster
Imhotep replied to Three's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As far as superman goes, Ive heard anything from a standard rehab on him, to a major rehab due to a lightning strike. Not sure about the black things on the OTSRs. -
Fuji-Q Highlands Discussion Thread

the 'full-full' element is not what I expected, but its still pretty cool, and looks very disorienting. Can it really count as an inversion? I mean, the seats invert, and the train inverts, but the combination of the two inversions makes the rider appear to stay level. It looks like you just turn to face backwards, and then turn to face forwards. At least thats what I saw in the video.. -
Photo TR: The Johnson's Coaster Vacation (2006)
Imhotep replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Nice TR Erik! your trip was pretty similar to the trip I took last year, minus Knobels, and I went to Dorney instead of SFA. Its a great group of parks they have up there. Glad to see you guys got the Kingda Ka credit! -
Its a 'drivers seat' pic of my drums. Not the best quality, I took it with my camera phone.

Best Florida Coaster?
Imhotep replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Spot on! I totally agree with that. I might even be crazy enough to rank Gwazi 5th and Sheikra 6th. I probably ride Gwazi 10 times every time I visit BGA. -
^ Thanks kid.

Im upset with my band right now. We've all worked so hard and we got so close to making it a legitimate career. However, getting close caused two of the guys (one very vital member) to quit. I am a founding member along with one other guy, and we have rebuilt the lineup so far 3 times in the 5 years of being together. I dont know if I have it in me to rebuild again , especially since the other guys dont seem interested in focusing on the important things of the rebuild, like replacing the vital member first. Wouldn't it make more sense to make that a priority? If I bring up anything, I get the attitude back like they think everything will just magically work itself out on its own. Its so frustrating to get so close to your dreams and everything falls apart right at the end. And to add insult to injury , this is the second time this has happened, the first band was when I was 19. ah, such is life. Sorry, had to get that out somewhere.

We rode the magic seat you told me about on both rides.. Honestly, I felt a difference on Ninja, as the ride was tolerable for me until the brake run (it got its headbanging revenge on me there). However Neesh is only 5'1", so the top of her head lines up with the horsecollars. She says she was tensing up really hard to keep from headbanging into the restraints, and crashing into the brake run forced her foward while she was tensed. She was fine though until 2 days later, she woke up and could barely move. The Ga Cyclone was still pretty bad IMO in the magic seat. The layout seems so kickass, I really wish they could get this thing running at least as smooth as GASM.

Parks of the Deep South 2006 Photo Update!
Imhotep replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Man, missed you guys by 2 days!! It was a great trip.. in addition to the Goliath credit, I also visited the Robbhorn Leghorn exhibit and got my Acrophobia and Deja-Vu credits! And Neesh unfortunately got a whiplash credit from the Ninja. That ride seriously needs to be relocated to Fantazy Land. -
Well, after our recent trip to SFoG, I would have to say the roughest for me is still the Ga Cyclone, and for my fiancee it has to be Ninja, considering it gave her whiplash. Im not joking. Ninja also has to have one of the scariest brake runs ever.

TR: Short Visit to SFOG
Imhotep replied to GeorgiaDawg278's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Right on, Glad you had fun. I just hope Deja Vu and Acrophobia manage to stay open until I get up there to ride them on Sunday, they've both been down every time I go up there! Looks like Im going to miss the Alveys by just 2 days unless they are hanging out in GA all weekend.
