  1. Wish Neesh and I could have been there.. I promise we would have been more fun this time around !! We were in texas hitting the six flags parks and visiting family while you were here though.
  2. Im really hoping for a coaster with NO inversions and tons of next time around. Maybe if they did make a hyper, they can make it go outside of the park like SFoG is doing with Goliath. My gut feeling would be either a Hyper like AC, or something fresh off of the B&M Drawing board.. I guess if anyone could convince B&M into doing a launch, it would be AB because of their relationship.. But Im sure it doesnt work that way with B&M and they will stick to their guns.
  3. Very sad.. I hope this mans family is holding up during this hard time.. I wonder if they have had any saftey concerns or complaints from park guests prior to this accident? I guess its because of the recent CG accident, but I can't help but wonder if he was doing something he wasn't supposed to.. ^Ahh, on the same page.. I was thinking that he may have done something silly because he was an employee as well.
  4. Q.What do you call a guy with no arms and no legs in a pile of leaves? A.Russel Q.What do you call two guys with no arms and no legs hanging above your window? A.Kurt & Rod
  5. Ive got a huge MySpace related favor to ask you guys.. A game based on the movie Scarface is being made, and they are asking for people to nominate local bands for a shot at being on the video game soundtrack. Hopefully, it will be huge exposure for the bands that win this contest. My band Holotype is trying to get as many nominations as we can. My favor to ask is could those of you that have myspace please put in a nomination for us? All you have to do is go to the games MySpace page, http://www.myspace.com/scarfacegame and add the page to your friends. Once you are added -which is instantly- just type in 'holotype' in the nomination field and submit. Nominations end Tomorrow, March 7th. Thank you, -Imhotep http://www.myspace.com/holotype http://www.holotypemusic.com
  6. You might also be able to put your video on You Tube. Thats awesome! I wonder how well a Lego Topspin would hold up?
  7. thats neat, thanks for clearing that up.
  8. I always assumed to myself that RNRC was a hydraulic launch and not LSM, because an LSM coaster wouldnt require a launch sled or any moving parts at all.. It also says on Vekomas site that they can install hydraulic launches to help reduce power demand. I guess I shouldnt assume??
  9. ^Im starting to think they dont have a 4-d on the drawing boards at all.
  10. Ok, Im sure Im going to find out in a few days when I see it, but Im dying to ask.. How exactly is the full-full element going to look?
  11. ^^Good idea!! That would be cool if they got a dive machine, just hopefully it wont be a clone... Knowing Busch though, that is most likely nothing to worry about.
  12. Awesome pics!! I love how much visual area this ride covers. You cant escape it.. I love that picture of the helix, Looks like I have found my new wallpaper.
  13. Blah.. I know "Polkamania" is a real show, but everytime I hear the name I get this mental picture : Polkamania brother!!!
  14. Actually, it doesnt look like a tophat.. More like the Arby's hat. Maybe this would be less frightening if they utilized the new track style for this coaster.
  15. You have heard wrong, my friend. I feel that air launches are the best! They are just loud as sin. For a good example nearest you, head to Old Town and ride G Force.. 0-120 in 2 seconds. Should be able to compare that launch closely to dragsters. I unfortunately haven't been on dragster yet myself to compare... But on a smaller scale, Ive been on both Hypersonic and Stormrunner. I was stunned by Hypersonic because I could barely feel the accelleration (actually it felt like there wasnt any at all), Where as Storm Runner I felt alot of the accelleration, it didnt pin me back in the seat instantly like Hypersonic.
  16. Technically I have a kid. My fiancee had a kid from her previous marriage. I love him as if he were my own. Hes a crazy little guy, he will go on any ride he is tall enough for. I want to have 2 kids of my own, but I only realistically see us having one child. Unfortunately, no kids anytime soon.
  17. Man I cannot wait for this game!!! Im so impatient Im very close to importing the japanese version. By the way, your avatar is the shiz.
  18. Id have to say Volcano. Pretty strong launch. Didnt make me black out, but caught me off guard. Next strongest launch I would have to say would be Batman and Robin: The Chiller.
  19. I would have to say, I like the feeling of drops better.. I only feel 'that feeling' on straight drops like the drops on Apollos Chariot or Sheikra, but curved drops like on Kumba do nothing for me at all. The only launch thats ever given me any feeling is the compressed air launches (only been on Hypersonic and G-Force at Old Town). Its like the second they launch, you are at speed, no accelleration. The hydraulic launch was so-so. I rode Storm Runner, and the least impressive part to me was the launch. Maybe cause I hyped it up too much in my mind.. I thought if Hypersonic's launch was great, SR's had to be amazing. I havent been on the Stratas yet though, so I might change my mind about launches after riding those... if they can ever stay open during the time I visit the parks they are in!
  20. Tab has been popping up in all the convienent stores in my area.. Looks like the old school tab, except its in a smaller RedBull-esque can. Havent tried it yet though. Has anyone else?
  21. {edit} maybe Ill take that off, I dont want to get banned.. ok, sorry bad joke.
  22. What would be the point of a 'wooden launch coaster' if the launch isnt wood? Kinda ruins the novelty.
  23. I guess I just dont get it. Im sure it would be cool, in a gimmicky way.
  24. Well, I finally got to ride it, and it totally suprised the hell out of me. The theming was of course excellent, and there are so many minute details. I especially appriciated how they carried over the 'railroad track' theming of the coaster track thoughout the whole entire ride. The ride was not rough in the least!! The backwards section was nice. Here and there I was able to see some scaffolding holding up the mountain, but it wasnt a big deal. The projection was nothing like what I saw on the video.. I was expecting to pull backwards into a smaller room and stare at a flat screen, but instead I got a huge open room with the shadow of the yeti projected very large onto the rocks in the room. Of course, I only paid attention to the projection once, as you could see the track 'switching' clear as day in front of you from any seat in the train. Its really cool to just see the track in front of you flip over like that.. On to the yeti.. Supposedly, he wasnt working how he should. It was very dark in the room, and there were a few strobe lights lighting him up. He looked to me like he was moving, but we were told that he wasnt. I havent had the chance to compare what I saw to the way its supposed to be, but honestly to me what I saw was convincing enough, and the yeti was still impressive. Since the length of time you see the yeti is so short, That made me think.. Disney could chose this option fo the yeti, and spent what they would have spent on the anamatronic to theme the backside of the mountain (okay, after seeing it in person, it is bothersome, especially since you can clearly see the warehouse from within the park at some angles!) Something felt like it was missing on the ride, though. I dont know. Maybe its more of a story line.. On this ride, It might have been cool to be herded into a pre-show room for a short backstory. Or if maybe if the trains had speakers in them, blaring some creepy adrenaline pumping music like the mummy. Overall, I see myself looking into getting annual passes just because of this ride, because its that good.. It really cannot be compared to anything else, especially the Mummy. Hopefully there are more rides like this in Disneys near future!! *crosses fingers for 'Pride Mountain'*
  25. I looooved A:E, and it was way better than Stitch is.. But I must admit for what it was, which is a kids attraction, it was great! An the Stitch anamatronic was killer.
