The Castlevania screenshot reminded me of Stryder for the NES. I used to LOVE that game!! that and Bionic Commando.

The worst part about the whole article to me, is that even after BK said they would remove the offending symbol for this one guy, and apoligized profusely, it still didnt satisfy him.. He decides to do something rediculous like stage his own 'Jihad' in a form of protest against bk. That just makes me wonder.. what the hell is good enough?! You just cant satisfy people sometimes. His whole goal was probably just to get media attention for this anyways.

Astroworld is closed this weekend due to Rita. SFoT is probably far enough north to where they wont really be affected.

Intamins OTSRs arent constrictive, but I had a painful experience riding storm runner with my arms up. There is just no padding on the restraints, and everytime we took an inversion I thought my arms were going to be severed. Ok, maybe not that bad, but I had some very bad bruises. Needless to say I will be riding arms down on any Intamin with OSTRs.

Actually, thats no effect. the supports are really like that... which in turn adds to the belief it could be a model. Its crazy how easily our brains can be decieved. I did think the pic of Balder was really a model.. But what I was really thinking when I saw that pic was "Nice MaxAir model!!"

The paragons are cool, great sound, I especially love the splashes. Too bad I dont really like incorporating 'Signature' cymbals into my setup or I might have a few. I need to check these out. I love sabian and thats all I use, but Im going through cymbals like gangbusters. Especially my chinas. If these are thick and will keep me from demolishing them I might have to consider this line, because cymbals are expensive!!

I think maybe he was implying he doesnt have a mac, so it sucks that you cant have a windows machine (like the majority of people) and upload pictures. I cant find the Nano anywhere! everyone is sold out. Best Buy in my area said they started selling them Thursday morning and sold out of them by 6pm. I decided to order my Nano through Apples website (slight company discount! w00t!) and it looks like its going to take forever to get here, but I can wait! By the way, for those of you worried about the Nanos structural integrity, check out this article. They put it through a stress test, including running it over with a car both front and rear tires... Im going to put in an order for my black 4gb Nano today!! Yippie!! I havent got to play with it yet, however I love how the original IPod works (just never got one because I found it kind of bulky). Maybe Ill go to BestBuy today and see if they have started selling them yet.

well, they just will have to accomodate... they should put in designated NON smoking areas so the non smokers can escape, and a designated public urination area. They could theme it to look like a giant Hello Kitty litter box or something.

The article says magnum ran the first season with the plates, and they were added the following season. I dont know the exact date/year, but I tried to find an article that helped. Also, since I couldnt find a pic of magnum with the upstop plates, I found a picture of a coaster with upstop plates, an arrow mine train. which in the article it says its the same plates arrow used on their mine trains. Good luck finding your answers, sorry I couldnt help.

^I was also going to say, I didnt think shockwave was that bad. The ride itself wasnt rough, it was the trains that were uncomfortable.

I found an article on ultimate roller coaster: After searching rcdb, I think I found a picture. Its hard to see, but you can kind of see just a standard metal plate where the upstop wheels would be.

Yeah I thought Stella Artois sucked for the record.. It was kind of sweet, almost fruity. Stella Artois is what people drink on gay cruises I imagine. No offense to gay people, I promise. Im a sucker for Yuengling. I can be completely not in the mood to drink but if someone has it, Ill drink it. Especially if its on tap!

I love all these brewery TRs!!! The only local brewery Ive ever been to was in downtown Indianapolis, and the only good thing they had there is Pale Ale.. Everything else was too bitter. I might not be the best judge, I think the most unique beers Ive ever had were Bitburger and Stella Artois, and my favorite beer ever being Yuengling.

Ive only ridden one coaster in the rain, and that was DD Fire.. NEVER AGAIN!! We got needled by the rain, and on top of that all the water that collected on top of the train poured down our backs as soon as we hit the brake run! A crappy experience. Now I will ride a train right after a good rain, thats when they are extra fun.

I like B&M supports. They tend not to destract attention from the actual track IMO. Personally, I dont find the 'Scaffolding' supports all that ummm.. sexy! I saw the scaffolding supports on Alpengeist and I was like WTF?

I agree looting tvs, etc can be wrong.. But if you look at it this way, some of these people were left with nothing.. No money, no means to help them get out of LA. If I was in their situation, and I know it sounds wrong, but I would definately attempt to take something of value. Not to make profit for me, but so that I have something that could trade for something I need, like a ride where ever I need to go or some kind of lodging. All I know is personally, I would be doing anything to get OUT of there , not just to have something nice in my house or to sell it to some sucker.. However not everyone is thinking that way, they are just thinking profit. and that is definately not right.
