  1. ^I thought of Wayne's World when I saw that. I also decided I'm going to put a Tagada in my backyard, and if lawyers do fall from the sky, I will make sure my T-Rex will eat them. Thanks for posting updates from China Robb. I really wish I could have gone on this trip because honestly, the only way I would go to China is with TPR. I'm glad everyone is having a good time and nobody has died riding knockoff SLCs.
  2. When that happened my Dad asked me how someone could get into the park and do that. Honestly, Bill had to have some help on the inside, but I don't know all the details (just what was written in the paper when it happened). I understand if you can't share details of what exactly happened (or how it happened) but it's fun to learn the details 18 years later. I can't help but think of the Simpsons and their cat Snowball (and Snowball 2) when I hear about Tiny. I'm sure we'll be seeing Tiny 2 next year.
  3. It's a cute gimmick. I'm kinda sad to see Tiny go. It must have been a really slow news day for the local paper to write an article.
  4. Here's an article about Tiny incase anyone was interested and didn't see the Facebook postings. I noticed yesterday that there was a RIP sign on the side of American Eagle where Tiny is normally perched. http://newssun.suntimes.com/15214333-417/no-more-coaster-climbing-for-tiny-fright-fest-icon.html
  5. Hanno, I know you posted about this months ago, but I just heard about The Simpsons Tapped Out last week! Of course I downloaded it and I'm already addicted to it. And for those of you who have not, download the Roller Coaster Trivia app. You won't be disappointed.
  6. First off, I just want to point out that this thread is on page 69. Chad, I don't know if I have a favorite trip report. You and I have been on two TPR trips, and you've visited the midwest twice now. I've whored out Illinois with you, went to several parks with you not to mention Lambeau Field. We had many laughs and great times. However there are two things that stick out right now, first off our trip to HW for Holiwood Nights. I don't think next year will top it, but we can sure go again and try! Second, your taco reports for both Indiana Beach and the Leviathon trip. Thanks for letting me be apart of your shenanigans. I think I need to visit your neck of the woods soon.
  7. Thanks for the pics Chad. I've never been to SDC, but I want to go more than ever now!
  8. It really is worth the money though, especially going on a day when it's super busy. Where will you be staying? If you're staying at any of their properties (Hotel Breakers, Breakers Express etc.) you will be able to get in an hour early in the morning. Plus, they do have discounted tickets if you stay at one of their hotels.
  9. Thanks for posting these pics Chad. I wish I took some time to explore some more. BTW, Conneaut Lake is going to be the back drop of my horror film (which I will get to writing this weekend).
  10. Let me know if you do! I've been wanting to get back to this park. It's one of my favorites in the chain. I don't care about Flashback being shut down, but closing Texas Chute Out is sad since there are not many of those types of rides left in America.
  11. Don't forget - Fast Lane is your friend.
  12. I wish I was able to go with you guys that day, but sadly I had to go to work. I need to get back to IB too, Lost Coaster and Cornball were closed when I was there last year.
  13. Chad, you failed to mention Geno's East. Where is that trip report?
  14. First off, I want to say that I like the rename of the thread. Second, I'm glad you had a great time at the park - again. I do agree with you about SFGAm being one of the most photogenic parks. It's also one of my favorite SF parks. Glad you had a great day! I also want to say that yeah maybe some people have bad days at our park, but the person who wrote that had their top ten coasters from Cedar Point.
  15. I finally took my first visit to IB last year. I had fun. Yeah the park could have been "spruced" up a bit, but we made the best of it and had a very enjoyable day. We even had tacos for lunch from the world famous taco shop, and I do remember them putting that chihuahua queso on it. Maybe they changed it from last year, who knows, but I thougtht the taco was enjoyable. I sadly haven't been back to IB. I have been wanting to go again since a couple of coasters were down when I was there last.
  16. Great job on the update David! I can't wait to see what else is in store! Looks like I'll be heading to CA sometime in Dec. to check this out!
  17. And where was I? Guess I'm not going back to City Museum with you ever again!!
  18. I am LOVING this movie! That last scene with Joey Fatone was FANTASTIC! I hope he wins an Emmy.
  19. ^Ok, you have a valid point. I just had two qestions for her. I'm sure the answer would be null and void as well.
  20. Why do you say the park is extremely old? It's only been open for 36 years (or seasons if that's how you want to look at it). Honestly, I think SFGAm is one of the best parks in the chain along with SFoT and SFoG and it's one of the cleaner parks I've been to as well. What exactly do you mean by this? There are a total of 12 coasters in the park, along with 20+ flat rides. SFGAm is nothing like SFGAdv when it comes to flat rides. Infact, I think Great Adventure has what, maybe two or three? That's not much of a selection to me. Some of my friends don't like the chain and they've expressed that to me. But, when they visit Great America, my friends always tell me that it's one of the better parks in the chain and they had fun. I know this is your opinion, but my opinion of your post is that you didn't give this park a chance.
  21. This was probably the single greatest weekend ever. I had so much fun, and I can't wait to see what shenanigans we will get into next year!!
  22. I told the guy that the bus was leaving without us and that we had to go!
