  1. ^If I were you, I would get a Flash Pass. I used a gold one several times before, and it's worth the money. Not all coasters are on the flash pass though (like Eagle, but the line is never horribly long). I'm only familiar with the gold flash pass. I believe it cuts your wait at least in half, maybe more. I just remember queing up a ride, and waiting maybe 15 mins at the very most before we were able to ride. I am not too familiar with the regular or platinum. I think with the platinum you can get a re-ride on the coaster (not 100% on this), but I have no clue about the regular flash pass. I'm sure they'll have more info on the website.
  2. IB shouldn't freak you out. On our trip to the park, there was a pregnant lady wearing sweats and a bikini top AND to top it all off, the guy wearing a half shirt (which was made of mesh mind you) who had a HUGE beer belly. Plus there were the normal ones there, minus one or two. But still, the park is an awesome place to people watch, and the rides are great. I am hoping to get back there before the end of the season.
  3. Oh yes, now I can see why. Not sure how I missed that the first time around.
  4. ^I was NOT at the bar. I was receiving text messages on my 3 hour drive home from someone who WAS at the bar. You know that if I was there, pictures would have been taken! Or maybe a video or two.... I did take some picutres. I'll have to go through them tonight. I took a picutre of a chalice that I think Steve C. would be proud of.
  5. You failed. I'm just hoping somehow there's a Part 2. Something tells me that there is no part 2. Shawn - you and Stephen need to get to the midwest. It will be a lot of fun, and maybe just maybe I can get some pictures and video of Steve at the bar he enjoyed so much! BTW: We need nicknames for the two Steve's.
  6. Wow. This really is the worst report ever. It was a fun day. I was impressed with the park actually. I didn't have high expectations. We need to go back there sometime soon.
  7. I love IB not only because of the coasters, but the people! I could sit there all day and people watch. Trust me - it's delicious! If you ever do decide to try it, get it from Garrett's. It's a Chicago company that's been around since 1949. It's the best stuff on earth if you ask me.
  8. Be careful of Little Amerricka's hours. Sometimes they are closed on a Monday or a Tuesday. The park normally opens at noon and will close early (like between 5-7pm). You don't need a lot of time at the park, but there is a lot of stuff for kids there. And don't forget to take the train ride. It's awesome. Not sure how much time you plan on spending at the Dells, but Mt. O offers "Night at the Park". I think it's $22 (check Club TPR for a price too) and the park is open 10pm-1am for this. And yes, all coasters are open as well as some of the go kart tracks. It's something to consider especially with the strange hours that Little Amerricka has. One last thing, someone mentioned Monk's Restaurant. GO THERE! Really good food. It's not that expensive either.
  9. Great pics thanks for sharing! It's nice to see that some of the smaller rides from Kiddieland and Fun Spot have a new home. I think this park has a lot of potential and I hope it has a good turn out.
  10. I have never been to IB before last Sunday, but being my first time visiting, I had a great time. LoCo was closed, but they were working on getting it up and running. Sadly it didn't open during this visit. Cornball was closed as well. From what we could see a part of it was getting re-tracked. Music Express was moved to it's new location but not running, and Falling Star was in pieces still. I'm sure they'll get to that sooner or later. The park wasn't that crowded either, so it made for very short lines for all the rides. I think the longest we may have waited was 15 minutes for Steel Hawg. I really hope this info helps ease some thoughts about the park. I had a great time, and I hope to go back before the end of the season. EDIT: I just realized I forgot to mention that Splash Battle was closed too. They were training employees on the Adventure Mountain so I'm guessing that might of had something to do with why the ride was closed. I could be wrong though. Wouldn't be the first time.
  11. Thanks for posting this Divv. It's bringing back a lot of great memories. I agree. I don't think I ever had that much fun on a backstage tour. The guides were great and I would love to do that tour again!
  12. I spent the day with fellow TPR members. We were at this awesome mini golf place when the supposed rapture struck. I was ready for Raptor Jesus but I guess he wasn't ready for us.
  13. ^I think a few people were already doing that! I will next time!
  14. Awesome pics Sam! This park reminds me of Little Amerricka. I truly wish I was able to go that day, but oh well. I'll be making a trip back to Texas in the future.
  15. I was confused with the circle thing too. You really couldn't hang onto it, but then again there was no need to hang onto anything during the ride. I had my arms up the whole entire time. I am pretty sure that's why I have a scar on my elbow now. I must have hit the shield thing. I better get that checked out since the shields were so gross looking. As for being stapled in, it hurt at first but by the time the train left the station I was fine. The seats are really comfortable and I still got lots of ejector airtime. Well I'd rather be riding it right now than at work. Hey, anyone up for another trip to Texas?
  16. ^You made my day Elissa!!! I just tried going to the website while at work and it's blocked! Obviously my work doesn't know the awesomeness of Leslie Hall. I'll have to speak to them about this. BTW, I love the name of her site.
  17. I want one of those awesome headbands. Seriously. I'd totally rock it at the gym.
  18. I DID. I don't know if Jo heard me, but the girl in front of me sure did! NO! I did not hear you. All I heard you say was "bang" everytime I looked at you. You killed me about 9,438,104 times yesterday! Griff, thanks for posting pictures. It was a fun day. We should go again soon.
  19. I'm sorry I missed out on that trip. We'll have to plan something again for another day. I can't wait to see the pics from SF.
  20. I'm very interested in this! BGW is one of my favorite parks, and KD is awesome just because of i305! I might be able to talk a few of my friends that live locally into going, so there will be 4 of us total.
  21. This may sound crazy, but I've rode Viper when the park first opened. The train didn't slow down at the top of the hill, it just went straight over. But I rode again later that same day, and it did slow down at the top. I know I'm not the only one that noticed this. Has anyone else experienced this or give an explanation as to why? I'm sure it has to do with wear and tear throughout the day, but I could be totally wrong.
  22. This has got to be my favorite image. Is it possible to do a caption contest in the future using this picture? I've already thought of a few.
  23. Praise Mujabubukins!!! Thank you Prince Desmond, you have saved the day yet again! I do have one question for you, would you be able to save Son of Beast?
  24. This looks amazing! I can't wait to take a trip up there this summer.
