Nice photo's, looks like you had a good time. A very wrong game of "stab-a-kid-in-the-heart, should of been "shoot a kid in the heart". -
I did not like "Latin" and "RE". What's the point of learning "Latin" when no-one in the UK uses it.. PE was the best,

Game designers will not say anything about their projects to the outside world untill the time is right for them to make an anounchment.

Wearing glasses on a coaster
verticalzero replied to jbuck's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just attach a strap to the glasses and they will not come off. easy -
Hi Robb, Can you tell me the make, model and cost of your "mini" camera which you use for POV's on coasters..? Where did you buy it from..? I am thinking of getting one to use when I go skiing in late Jan. Have a Merry Xmas and wonderful New Year.

Neutuered Coasters
verticalzero replied to Stitch's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only Part of Mean Streak to be "trimed" when I rode it in 2000 was at the mid-course section, it nearly stopped and the train slowly went down the other side till the speed caught up again. PMBO and Grand National are "trimed" far to much for my liking. The Beast was "trimmed" through the brake run, not much mind as it still produced amazing rides during the day and night when I rode it over 10 times. Why do coasters get "trimmed", is it cos: A) To much wear n tear on the structure, track and cars b) Complaints from the riders c) The train is too fast round the track When you ride your fav coaster, ask one of the Ops if any brakes which are on the course are "switched off" if possible. I may email a coaster designer and Theme Park to ask why "trims" are added to the rides when they are desgined to take the trains at full speed etc. Has "Hades" or the coasters at "Holiday World" been trimmed yet..? What coasters do you think should "not" be trimmed..? Apart from the answers here, e.g. MS and The Beast. -
WHo would ride the Crystal Beach Cyclone
verticalzero replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'll love to ride it if I was in the area at the time. I hope someone can make a copy of it in the future and have Harry's name bembeded into the structure or at the top of the Lift-Hill above the track, to honor a wonderful coaster designer. I'm sure SOB Helix is based on this coaster, it looks a more modern version. I have never ridden a coaster which has made me "puke", only slightly dizzy (but I do have an ear condition and effects my balance, I have the all clear from Doctors to say it's fine to ride a coaster) I have had "tunnel vision" on Oblivion, I will never ride it again though. -

With the loop gone, this can make way for a company like GCI to do a "Heartline roll" or a "Corkscrew" on a Woodie. They are all possible. What are your views for "inversions" for a wooden coaster..? -
Idiot Ride Ops.
verticalzero replied to kidcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Ops which send you round the Qing system even if the train is empty are the most annoying. Not seen anyone text or smoke in the station or control box. Yet !! -

I have not been on this ride, but why did this B&M Inverted coaster get saved..? I think the Texas Cyclone was more important and should of been moved to a new home. -

Pic's of the cracked Beams / Supports which caused the "pot hole" in the track. http://www.screamscape.com/html/pki_-_sob_0.htm The ride was very lucky not to of failed even more. It was just not built properly for the speed and stress of the fast trains. -
CARS! The Car Super Thread
verticalzero replied to Jordan Shankman's topic in Random, Random, Random
I would not get in a car if the driver is 21 or less, they have no knowledge or experience of driving. No wonder they die young if their parents buy em high powered cars which they can't handle or show off to their mates. -

Best coaster ride when raining
verticalzero replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Nemesis is very quick when it rains, most of your blood rushes to your feet and they tingle more or you just "grey/blackout. Anyone rode a coaster when the air temp is below freezing...? -
I don't bother with "pride events", there is no need to tell the world what and who you are. Enjoy life meating people, stay safe and have lots of fun in sauna's etc
