  1. They must think I'm friendly, and coming from an "exotic" location like Oz helps, as soon as they hear the accent. I seem to meet a ton of European girls in the states too, it's like - come to America and meet European girls. Cedar Point I have found to be an especially friendly place.
  2. Sounds like there is going to be a wave of Aussies hitting the USA in the next few months, that reminds me I should get an ozcoaster t-shirt. Nah, maybe not, the first thing hot girls ask you at theme parks is if you are one of those rollercoaster freaks, I can't lie very well with an ozcoaster shirt on. Can't wait to ride that the big Bull at Great Adventure, and check out Titsu at the Mountain.
  3. Can I apply, I have just signed up for my overseas tour leaving next month. This aussie a$$hole will representing the mighty green and gold in New York, Los Angeles, and Vegas among other places. I'm going to be getting some serious mileage out of a six flags season pass.
  4. Well, I'll be in NYC on Sat night 26th Aug, so El Toro better bloody be open sometime before I leave on Thursday, or I may trun into Clark Griswold in Vacation and start taking hostages. Looking forward to some more Ride of Steel loving at SFNE too
  5. I am a huge fan of Clerks, will definitely see Clerks 2 but I won't go in with any expectations. I loved Mallrats, and Jay and Silent Bob; Chasing Amy and Dogma were pretty good. Jersey Girl, that was on a plane I was on and I still didn't watch it.
  6. I would have to say The Clash even though I didn't have one of their CD's until 15 years after the broke up, good music is still good even if it is old.
  7. Original big dipper at Luna Park Sydney which is circa 1930's, I have also ridden Comet at Hershey and Thunderbolt at SFNE they seem really old too.
  8. Looks like you had a good time, reminds of my day at Movie World with Thunder001 in June, a little wet but still got plenty of rides. Right now I'm deciding whether to go on a Great Adventure to Magic Mountain and New England, just can't stop getting those itchy feet.
  9. If I get over I was going to hit SFNE on Monday Aug 28, and get a six flags season pass, then go to GAdv the next and keep going back until I get to ride El Toro, should be back in LA on the Friday and do SFMM.
  10. I was thinking of heading to NYC late next month and I was wondering what El Toro has been like reliability wise. From what I have seen on the boards it doesn't seem to open when the park does, but has there been many incidences of ET being down for whole days?
  11. Superman Escape 10th June at Warner Bros Movie World - Australia.
  12. Though I think just about every guy in the world has fictional thoughts about Lindsay Lohan.
  13. Feeling This - Blink 182
  14. If she ate tarts that would be cannibalism. Damn El Toro looks good, may not be able to stop myself heading for NYC.
  15. Really liked the trip report, I guess a whole new set of possibilities for being creative with trip reports has been opened up. Wow, Kim Possible is really hot. I think when I do my next trip report, I will be spending a day at the park with Lindsay Lohan.
  16. The sad thing was that the SLC at movie world would have been arguably the best coaster in australia before superman escape opened, and that's not saying it's any good. Here's my oz top ten, other than superman escape it's sad: 1. Superman Escape - awesome rocket. 2. Lethal Weapon - custom SLC, least worst of that type. 3. Tower of Terror - Intamin reverse free fall like at SFMM, ho hum. 4. Cyclone - tamest arrow looper ever. 5. Scooby Doo - indoor wild mouse, great theming, a really good ride, ok coaster. 6. Corkscrew - ancient arrow corkscrew. ...it just gets to pathetic after that.
  17. I'll talk to anyone in line who wants to talk to me, because I am a foireigner from an exotic location (Australia) there's usually plenty they are interested in talking about. Most of the time I wind up talking to attractive girls, one even went straight out and the first thing she said, "are you one of those coaster freaks?" Of course I said no, and I wound up spending the rest of the day with her at the park, and she was staying at the same place so we went back there too. I always have such a great time at Cedar Point.
  18. I was really impressed by the theming, I'd like to see a video of it so I can show people who haven't been on it. It would be hard to get an onride because they won't even let you on with anything in your pockets even your back pockets, so it would be hard to get a camera on.
  19. Deja Vu at SFMM was in an episode of Buffy, though only as a backdrop at night.
  20. I rode it in June, front row, back row and in the middle. At the front and towards the front the ejector air on the top hat and the two camelbacks is quite forceful. In the back, there isn't serious ejector air time going over but it has a real whip when you start heading down the drops. In the middle a bit of both. I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised, the themed section is really good, the launch was surprisingly forceful (I have ridden Storm Runner, Dragster, Xcelerator and few others to compare) I think is mainly because it is a very short distance from go to the top hat, and the air time was very surprising, almost Ride of Steel like.
  21. Viper at SFMM in True Romance and Encino Man
  22. I was at Cedar Point and Millennium Force got stuck halfway up the lift hill for a half an hour, they all got Exit Passes. For $300 (correct me if I'm wrong on the price) at CP you can get an exit pass aka VIP pass.
  23. I've been on the SFMM Deja Vu and I was quite impressed, that vertical drop is great. The single rider line certainly is a plus at SFMM, do they have one in Georgia?
  24. coasterguy618 wrote: I went there on the Friday before the Labour Day in 2005 and I had an awful day. For a weekday the lines were bad (I went the same day the year before and the lines were much better), KK was down, Nitro was 20 minutes even during Season Pass holder ERT and just plain ridiculous after that. I really went to ride KK, if I had known it was down I would have gone back to SFNE which I enjoyed the day before. I was on the first NJ Transit bus back to NYC that day. Next time I'm in New York, I'll probably have to allow a window of three days so I get a shot at KK and El Toro, because I live 12,000 miles from GAdv I really want to get some good rides when I do go.
  25. What about Robb, what was his first credit, and what was your first coaster ride together? I had the honour of riding in the same train when Thunder001's 3 year old got his first credit at Warner Bros Movie World, the little fella loved it, went straight back on.
