She is too hot, and she's wild. Damn I wish I was a southern california resident. -
Great Adventure Off-Season Tour
downunder replied to WadeJ's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I didn't think they could use both sides LIM's at the exactly the same time, I have heard they use an unbelievable amount of electricity. Wow, someday I might get to ride the batman side - visited last three years and no cigar. Hopefully the dispatches will improve on Kingda Ka this year they were just painful in August when I was there last year, at least I finally got to ride the bloody thing. -
Great Adventure Off-Season Tour
downunder replied to WadeJ's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That sounds like great news, so many great rides and such poor operations in the past. We'll see if they can back up the talk. Did they say if both sides of chiller would be open at the same time, from what I have heard it would be hard to run both sides simultaneously. -
Cornholing coming to GL!
downunder replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm not from the USA but don't people get cornholed in prison? -
Being Pregnant Is the Newest Fashion In London?
downunder replied to GMAN962's topic in Random, Random, Random
Here in Aussie, we have a single mother's pension and a $4000.00 baby bonus payable on birth (to encourage more people to have children), lots of dopey teenagers just have a baby to get the cash and the pension - they had to change it so that you can only get the $4000 in instalments if you are under 18. And it seems that the $4000 aint going into juniors college fund either, there has been a surge in plasma television sales. -
Theme Park Review's 2007 Group Trips!
downunder replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just out of curiousity how many spots are left on the midwest tour now that deposit d-day has passed? Barry H wrote: Fun, unless you are the one being made fun of. -
I thought St Anger came out very muddy which really buried the songs, and after seeing all the effort and trauma that went into that album on Some Kind of Monster, it was a shame. I bags being their mediator on this album for the $40k a month the dude in the movie was getting.

B&M Superman Flyers
downunder replied to Eric_Smith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think what he is asking is if the three Super Ultimates Flight flyers are clones. I would say yes but are they identical, or are they slightly different to suit each location? Edit: you beat me to that answer. -
Redesigned trains in the works for X
downunder replied to kraxleRIDAH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really like X, and it would be excellent if this happens. I know some people I was travelling with last year who aren't coaster enthusiasts who were so disappointed when X wasn't running last year. I've been to Magic Mountain 7 times in the last five years since X "opened" and it's only been running two of those days. It deserves the treatment, it is the absolute standout at the mountain as far as I am concerned (puts on flame prooof suit), and I am sure more people would come if it was widely known that X was operating consistently. -
331 feet Giga Coaster coming to Heide-Park ?
downunder replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I hope it gets more airtime than Millennium Force, which certainly could have used some more bunny hops. Germany just keeps getting better on the coaster front. -
Tobu Zoo's New Coaster
downunder replied to Airtime&Gravity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I thought this was supposed to be a mega coaster but it looks like a fun little coaster. -
I think it was built a year too late cause I was there in 2005! I was in Montreal for other reasons but when I saw La Ronde across the river and seeing I already had a Six Flags season pass I had to go. Nice spot, the park on the other hand...The ride ops there make the surly, uninterested ops at Magic Mountain look like Disney ride ops of the month award winners.

I am completely uninterested in Harry Potter, haven't read the books or films, at least our version "Harry Pothead" on the radio was funny. I would prefer what they have at the moment with maybe some better attractions in the place of Poseiden and Sinbad. Also the lost continent seems a lot more timeless as a theme than Harry Potter, it will interesting to see if anyone cares about Harry in 10 or 15 years. I'm all for a Jay and Silent Bob land, a little bit of Jersey in Florida.

Best Arrow Suspended Coaster

I've only been on Ninja, and Draggin' Iron, er, I mean Iron Dragon. I woulkd have to say Ninja, I rode it last year front row, and I enjoyed it. -
Geauga Lake Discussion Thread
downunder replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was going to GL this year for the first time - bummer, and I reckon the straight drop forwards would be more fun than Wicked Twister's twisty one. All these coasters getting taken out looks like Michigan's Adventure is going to take Cedar Point's Record for most coasters in one park. -
I definitely agree with the start small and work your way up, I don't like heights but I have never been afraid of coasters. I usually can't wait to get over to the USA and ride the biggest fastest thing I can get to.

It sounds like it has the greatest theming since Disaster Transport, Disney's imagineers must be sh**ting themselves with fear.

best bobsled coaster
downunder replied to methos's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have been on one, Disaster Transport - at least the last time I went they weren't playing that silly Alslaka thing when you go up the lift hill. Shouldn't this be "the Least Worst Bobsled You Have Been On" or are there actually some good ones? -
Coasters after childbirth
downunder replied to Marko's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I almost read that wrong, a coaster during childbirth wouldn't be good. I think caring for a young one would make it hard to get to parks, do all parks have parent swap arrangements like Cedar Point does? I think the only way most ACE members could reproduce would be through a donation at the sperm bank or do they have standards? -
I'm just grateful they have metal detectors at parks like Knott's, Mantis man is just plain scary. There were a couple of scary people at Cedar Point who just rode Dragster and Millennium Force over and over again, the ride ops used to say over the loudspeaker "how many times have you ridden today" can't remember the name.

Politically Incorrect Coaster Names
downunder replied to Millenniumguy's topic in Random, Random, Random
Goliath - reminding Philistines everywhere of a major a$$ wupping they received. Magnum XL-200: do magnums come in XL-200 size? Anaconda: they do some really scary things to donkeys, among other animals. Rita Queen of Speed: I second that one, is she the local dealer? Dominator: does it have an accompanying S & M theme, are rider's refferred to as submissives. Silver Bullet: offensive to werewolves everywhere.
