  1. Nice TR, I've always heard good things about the Spring Fling-despite the fact that ACE runs it
  2. I've always liked Nemesis Inferno's colors. It seems to be one of those "spectator" rides where there are so many pictures taken, and you never see the same angle twice. It's such tiny looking for an invert though! The B&M track looks so fat almost with those smallish elements. Good TR!
  3. Wow, those are some outstanding pics. I haven't even finished looking at it all, but what I've seen is great. I have a few newspaper clipping from the past couple years about Hershey and SFA that will probably seem just as cool about a decade from now. I basically grew up on the park as well, going there since I was around 4. I have some pics of my dad, me, and a Klingon. Yup those were the "good 'ole days......" at least in my life they seem like "old days."
  4. Personally I think they are two of the lamest advert.s I've ever seen. IDK, maybe the Brit.s find them brilliant for some reason.
  5. Completely awesome vid. of King Kong Only in Europe I guess. Although one will probably be in the states soon. I'd love to see parques reunidos stick one in Kennywood.
  6. I don't. I never buy drinks, so there is no point for me having to pay for everyone else's soda addiction.
  7. Although I no longer drink carbonated-high fructose corn syrup-caffeinated liquids, I do have to agree that those cups are a symbol of quality. I got a PKD cup in 2004 and still use it just about every morning to keep my breakfast smoothie cold. The insulation powers those things possess are legendary. That's probably the only merchandise type thing I've ever gotten at a park that was a good bargain!
  8. Although the video takes too long to load on this primitive computer, I remember that the original preview teaser video's MCBR was not that bad. I do agree that the negative G forces would probably be too extreme with no MCBR at all. If there ever was a ride that actually needs a few brakes, I think this might be it!
  9. All joking aside, the CP fanboys should have NOTHING to complain about this year. 5 CP rides in the top 50?
  10. Yeah, it would be awesome if this is the new Batman: the Ride. I agree, it looks great. It simply tears through that layout, and there's hardly any straight track that's not an airtime hill! What a creation.
  11. Yea, that's what I was thinking when I first read this. Then I saw a bunch of people riping Six Flags' throat out for not "focusing on U.S. parks enough." Maybe because it's not going to open for seven years. Just my guess
  12. ^Dude, this isn't going to happen for almost a decade. Plus, it is a strategic allience, which means Six Flags won't exactly be the sole owners of the park. I can't get around when people think that U.S. firms building overseas will lead to U.S. parks getting neglected. Disney and Universal have been doing it for years and their parks are still the best in the U.S.
  13. I visited SFKK in 2006 expecting a crap-hole, but I thought the staff was one of the best I have seen at any Six Flags park. It's what a local park should be. I really have no idea where the bad repuation came from. Too bad you guys didn't get on Thunder Run. It was by far the best coaster there in my opinion.
  14. Really great stuff. ALMOST makes me regret not getting a KD season pass this year. Oh well, I'm still sick of CF. I knew the skyline would change, but WOW, that looks so much different than it did last season. It makes Volcano look tiny, and that was always the biggest thing on that left side of the park when you look at it from the parking lot.
  15. Ahhhh, almost 8 nice hours last night, in preparation for the 5:00 work-alarm. Sweet, I'm about ready for some more.
  16. I'm feeling pretty dumb right now, considering I've NEVER heard about this policy. Maybe I should actually READ TR's instead of just looking at the pics. I have to say, I still think Holiday World is a must for me at some point in my coaster career. They basically have one wooden coaster for everything (Raven-air, Legend-lats, Voyage-speed). I've just got to get out there some day!
  17. Great TR man. It just amazes me the market that Thorpe has! Regardless of the opperations, any park that can fill three coasters with hour long queues in the middle of February looks popular enough for my tastes. I can't believe that seven years ago, the place had no big coasters, and now it draws these gigantic crowds! But paying £3 for X:/WTF??? Wow, you must like that thing.
  18. Hmmmmmmmmmmm The Bible Harry Potter Any school text book I'm somewhat interested in. That's about all.
  19. I don't consider pizza/Mexican/Chinese fast food. Here's really all I can remember eating at from best to worst. 1 Bo Jangles 2 Hardees 3 Roy Rogers 4Checkers 5 Poppeye's 6 Chick Fil-A 7 KFC 8 Taco Bell 9 Sonic Drive In 10 Burger King 11 Calloway's 12 Wendy's 13 Arby's 14 McDonald's I'll take anything but Arby's and McDonald's!! BoJangles may be greasy, but their fry seasoning is heaven on earth.
  20. Never heard of him, so no. Will you watch Super Bowl XLII?
  21. I really like the fact that Waldameer is getting something new, but to me all the airtime hills look very "not-steep." Maybe I'm just dumb or picky, but I am not overly-hyped for this ride.
  22. Thanks for the update. Another good, long dose of Japanese stuff-very cool. If anyone actually has a list of all of the popcorn flavors in Tokyo Disney, I'd like to see it.
  23. I love the fact that Indy lost, just because 90% of NFL experts thought the Colts would blow SD to pieces. Norv will not coach in the Super Bowl, however. At least not this year!
