  1. I completely agree. Most new concepts these days seems to be more of a gimmick than anything. I still enjoy traditional water slides like speed slide towers and standard innertube slides far more than most bowls or these newer designs. Don't get me wrong, some newer slides like launched slides (SFKK's Deluge for example) and smaller body slide bowls (Waterworld's Spacebowl) are awesome because they add something completely different to the sliding experience. I'd like to try that AquaLoop someday though. Looking at that last concept posted, it looks like the thrill of going up on the walls like on a Proslide tornado bowl only lasts for the first part of that massive enclosed section and the rest is just like a regular innertube slide traveling flat, but maybe side to side a little more. Completely wasted high walls and cover except for the enclosing purpose. Granted these are better for marketing than traditional slides, but the experience is basically the same as a family innertube rafting slide, something of which always seems to get longer lines than everything else in parks that have them.
  2. I've really enjoyed these photos so far. I'm surprised Boulder Dash was only "ok". When we (TPR) rode it, it was beyond amazing! Did they add the rumored trim breaks or something? Wildcat was pretty terrible for us too. Everything else in the park was great. The free sodas were great to have too.
  3. ^ I guess I wasn't clear. There's a separate word document file included with the download that has all the info. You don't need RCT2 to view that.
  4. ^Download the park and there is background info on that mentioned in the park write up. Great work Zack. I already posted my thoughts on NE, but "great work" just about sums up what I wrote in detail there.
  5. I have some that have come with parks I've downloaded. Okay then here's several pictures posted in the preview thread recently that might help. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=896034#p896034 The later versions of 8cars have a "remove all guests" feature to get them out faster.
  6. There are several complete ones out there which are pretty mediocre. This one here is incomplete, yet probably the most accurate/detailed CP recreation for what is there. http://forums.nedesigns.com/index.php?showtopic=18207&hl=
  7. Hey Matt, great photos. Sorry Intimidator wasn't your 300th credit, but at least it was a B&M!
  8. I can't believe I missed this at first and have not posted my review. Been a few months since I watched it, but it brought back many great memories from east coast 2008! Lake Compounce and Knoebel's were my favorite segments. Robb and Elissa, thanks again for the video and for making that whole trip awesome!
  9. I still held out one last hope for humanity, until I read that site. All gone now. This should give you an idea... Seriously, WTF. Might just be a troll posting, but I would not be at all surprised if that and the rest of these ones are for real. Twilight has doomed society. Twilight fangirls reproducing scares me even more than the thought of ever dating one.
  10. Sounds like you did something else to the game than just disable UAC. UAC has no connection to any of the saved game files and disabling it would not by any means wipe out saved files.
  11. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=how+to+disable+uac+on+vista&aq=0&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=how+to+disable+uac&gs_rfai=&fp=699b07aefa0d9cc Nothing changes but your ability for RCT2 to work better.
  12. Read through this thread a few pages back where I have posted instructions numerous times on how to fix the Vista/8cars problem.
  13. It almost seems like he's going for a park built next to a large lake. Remember, Cedar Point is pretty much a large beach and that's in the midwest. I'll throw in my two cents on this. First off in the third picture down, the queue that's placed on the water should be raised up at least one clearance level. Water level in lakes often changes throughout the year and you wouldn't want the queue to be flooded during those times. The supports over the brake run should be connected to the ones below somehow so they are not floating, as Jordan noted. The islands should at least have some grasses and bushes if not a few trees. That should be good enough to get you started on this.
  14. Custom Volare. Damn, I was hoping they would instead pick up Flying Coaster at Elitch Gardens since that has been sitting idle for a few years now and could use a new home. The world does not need any more Volares.
  15. If Knoebel's got a mega-lite, all other nearby parks would have to give up and shut down because that would be too much awesome for one region to handle haha.
  16. You're going to have to use "shoe-stringing" for this. That's the only way. http://forums.nedesigns.com/index.php?showtopic=22007
  17. Some of these policies are just so far out that I wonder if the school added these to the website for April fools day and never took them down. Doubtful, but it seems like this would be hard to get away with in America without serious legal problems, and in the end if the enforcement would be worth the trouble.
  18. Seriously, wow. WTF? I think they pretty much listed, even the little things that you wouldn't think to be controversial or go against their values. The bigger problem is they seem to want to shelter adults from the outside world. I could understand some of this if this was for children, but adults... I'm speechless (other than thoughts that would not be appropriate to post here). In other words, I wouldn't set foot near this school. There's probably a Christian college with similar policies somewhere down in Colorado Springs too. That's the one place in America extreme enough for something like this to exist and nobody really think anything else of it.
  19. http://www.nedesigns.com/ There is no guide to custom supports. The best you can do is take a look around at coaster pictures on rcdb.com and use those as examples. It takes some getting used to.
  20. Build another track ride (other than a wooden coaster) one clearance level below the wooden coaster to use as a track that will block out the supports. Then make that new track invisible.
  21. This has been dead for a while now. I released the unfinished download at NE last summer.
  22. That I did not know, thanks. (sorry for hijacking reply ^^ ) Now, I'd like to ask of you. If I have nowhere to find the expansions, will a workbench give me the objects when opened? Cause I would for example get a bigger set of objects to choose from in my NCS creations. Yes, upon opening a file with custom objects, they will automatically export to your computer and you will be able to use them.
  23. Jesus god that was about perfect! I haven't downloaded a NL coaster in a while until now. 10/10
