  1. Earlier this afternoon, I signed the lease for the house my friend and I are moving into in a few months. I'm glad to be finally moving out of the dorms within a couple months. Haha no I think he means Macky street that goes into the CU campus.
  2. ^ What operating mode do you have the ride set to? Also, did you notice this? If you click OK after clicking Apply, the hack will not work. Click Cancel instead.
  3. Do you have the tab selected for which color scheme of the track you want the lift applied to? Or are you having troubles with getting the ride to work without crashing? I know 1.32 sometimes causes a bug with the trains and causes an error trapper. Also, if there's enough interest in it, I might throw together a quick tutorial for your guys on a simple 8cars method for how to make ride track (and anything else such as entrance/exit huts, ride bases) invisible.
  4. I already know how to do the whole lazy river thing. I just didn't think I had seen the lazy river boats for the track before. Also, that invisibility hack isn't simply limited to entrance/exit huts. It can be used to make any piece(s) of track, scenery, or path invisible.
  5. Great tutorial. These are a good thing to have on the site. To take this hack one step further, the unsightly entrance/exit huts can be made invisible using a simple hack that is in the first post here. http://forums.nedesigns.com/index.php?showtopic=20618 After that's done, instead of a tile queue, I like to make an invisible path up to the top and then use scenery to make more realistic looking stairs at the same height of the path.
  6. So yesterday here it was 80 degrees out and felt like summer. Within the last 5 hours, over 6 inches of snow have been dumped here with more to come tonight. Apparently it is also supposed to be back to warm summer-like weather by the weekend too. Colorado - home of the PMS weather patterns.
  7. Water World has several body slides called White Lightning that I'd say are my least favorite of any slide I have ridden. They are double down body slides that are meant to go fast, but whenever I ride them there's not enough water pushed down and several times I have come to a complete stop half way down and have to push my way to the next drop. Seems to happen to thinner people like myself as when at the top of the nearby Jetstream slides I often see other people get stuck in the same place and have to push themselves like me. That also leads to terrible capacity since only one person could go down at a time and they often get stuck so the lines to it went VERY slowly. I just skip it whenever I go now. I've had my share of times of getting my back shredded by slides, but nothing out of the ordinary that made me hate a slide.
  8. Really good job with that. Can't say it was perfect and the transitions were not as smooth as they could be, but overall a seemingly very accurate recreation. 9/10
  9. For being new to the game, you seem to have more skill than some people who have played the game for a while. The both coasters look great and pretty realistic as well. I could see this turning into a full scale legit low detail realistic park. Keep it up man! And ghost, was that post supposed sarcastic, or condescending?
  10. And I thought not even PETA could have topped what that religious right group wants to do. Damn was I wrong...I shouldn't even be surprised either.
  11. ^I would guess these are new. Hersheypark's Wildcat got new Millennium Flyers when they replaced their PTC's. Which brings up a good point; Wildcat was pretty rough even after they got the Millennium Flyers. The track damage from the PTC's was still there. Now I didn't get to ride it before the changed the trains, but from what I heard it was a lot worse. Gwazi will certainly be better with the new trains, but by no means perfect unless some serious track work is done to fix the damage. The biggest difference between PTC's and Millennium Flyers on an identical track layout can be noticed by riding Roar at SFA (PTC's) and SFDK's Roar (Millennium Flyers). Even on a bad day, SFDK's was still far more enjoyable than SFA's. I'm wondering what will happen to these PTC trains now that they are out of use. Maybe they will go to another ride for replacement trains like Hershey sent Wildcat's trains to Lake Compounce for Boulder Dash, or spare parts.
  12. For the past year, I've been eating Spoons Soups and Salads for lunch every day since they have a location in my dorm's dining hall. Tonight for dinner, I went over to Braiden Hall for a RamWich, which is basically a toasted sub that, in my opinion, rivals the taste of Subway or any other sandwich place. The dorm food here is seriously amazing!
  13. This is the first I have really seen of the park. The atmosphere is really nice and they seem to have a very well rounded selection of rides for not having many large coasters.
  14. I don't think real pirate ships have perfectly flat tops like yours. Nor does a Six Flags park have competition with Busch. Kings Dominion, well that's another story, but if they think they can compete with Busch, then I suppose you can too.
  15. Just talk to her and don't be creepy about it. Think of it as reconnecting with an old friend rather than trying to get with her because she's hot. Girls are generally pretty good at picking up in obvious attempts like this, especially good looking ones who are used to it. However don't set your heart on anything just yet because girls' minds are all over the place, especially at this age (and well into college for most too). The best thing you can do is find an opportunity to talk to her (in person is better than online) and have some confidence. Usually a lack of confidence is what gives off the creep factor when a guy is talking to a beautiful girl he doesn't normally talk to. She'll be impressed you didn't just hide behind the internet shield if you make it seem like natural conversation in person. In the words of one of my friends - you need to have game!
  16. Have you ever thought to get more work done before posting? Year 2 and several coaster layouts with scenery objects slapped on them will not get the comments you're looking for. Take some time to look at real Six Flags parks for ride inspiration, architecture, and landscaping. RCDB is a good source as well as google images. I think if you took some time to plan out your park, it could turn out pretty good. Nin's non-CS SFMM is a good example which you can look to for realism. Or if you're going for more of a fantasy style of building that's cool too.
  17. Can someone copy the announcement over here? I don't want to have to register on sfafans just to view it.
  18. I've never in my life heard of a major roller coaster being leased to a park. I seem to recall Vekoma leased their prototype flyer "Stealth" to CGA for its short life there before being purchased for Carowinds.
  19. ^Tyler, if someone as awkward as Andrew can get on the show, then you can too. All you need to do is write an offensive comic for your school newspaper like he did for my school, and get fired.
  20. This is a chance for T2 to become what it was always meant for - a parts donor for the rest of Six Flags parks with SLC's! As for the other coasters, Thunder Run and Twisted Twins will (pretty much guaranteed) be smashed to pieces. Greezed Lightnin will most likely be scrap since it is so old. Roadrunner Express should be able to find a good home. As for the Roller Skater, well looks like we have another one of those on the market again. Maybe Deluge can go to SFMM. There have been rumors about a ride like that for this year.
  21. My brother and I did this when we were there at Christmas. It was nice to have a free run of the place and not be limited to any specific time or direction to go while up there. More parks should add these since they are fairly inexpensive to build and operate compared to other up-charge attractions and this one was very popular at the mall.
  22. Okay, so here's what you need to do to make the park WW and TT free. Download ParkDat1.6 if you haven't already and remove the in-use WW and TT objects from your park. Load your .SV6 file (make sure you have a backup in case something goes wrong). There will be a list of all the .DAT files used in the parks as well as their menu names (for example, Dinghy Slide as the .DAT name DING1). The WW and TT objects should only show the .DAT name and no menu name, that way you know what to delete. If there is an X in the "In Park?" column, replace the object in that slot with any other non-WW/TT object of the same slot type (R=rides, SS=small scenery, etc.). If you're not sure about what you're deleting, when you click on the slot, a picture will show of what exactly that object is and how it appears in the in-game menu. Good luck and PM me if you need more help. I'd really like to see this park WW/TT free since I don't use the expansion packs.
  23. This is what has me worried the most about the situation. But then again, this could be a mistake of some sort. Why would a roller skater have the same height requirement as Ninja?
