  1. Any King Gizz fans on here? Bit the bullet and got tickets to see them in Atlanta in September, so hyped. Crazy excited for the new album, too. YES! I discovered them last year and have slowly been adding the cd's to my collection. Would love to see them live!
  2. Really glad to see them restoring the Glockenspiel and Festhaus building. I remember seeing that for the first time and thinking that it was going to be like the one at BGW...we're all like, "Yay Festhaus! Oom-Pah bands and BEER!!!!" What a f%cking total disappointment to walk in and see a pizza place, ice cream, an arcade and a Burger King or whatever crap was in there! Love the Beast stuff too...I remember those tracks from back in the day!
  3. What the hell is a chocolate frosted Long John? Sounds and looks disgusting. LOL
  4. ^ Probably be that rusted POS B&M stand-up that was rotting in the field at Darien Lake instead! Or, I could always bring 'Cuda Falls and a couple gallons of Jack Daniels with me?
  5. ^ HAHA! I would do my best, Zach, although the only good coasters that we have around here that I could bring with me would be Ride Of Steel at Darien Lake, Ravine Flyer 2 at Waldameer or Silver Comet at Fantasy Island...all the rest suck.
  6. Looks great, Bill...and Happy belated birthday! Wow...the cherry blossoms are beautiful! Another few weeks here.
  7. ^ For BBQ, I've only been to Q39 and Jack Stack thus far, but both were very tasty. My plan is to visit more in future visits, take photos and then post them in Bill's BBQ thread.
  8. ^ I've been really impressed with KC, Andrew. It reminds me of a more revitalized Buffalo. I informally spoke with the hiring manager yesterday and he highly encouraged me to submit my resume, so I'll do so when I get back in the office on Thursday. And you were right about Q39 too!
  9. So I've been in KC for the past few days as I contemplate a possible job relocation. I followed the GPS to my destination and lo and behold, this is directly across the street. Think it's a sign?
  10. Happy birthday, Bill! Hope that your day is a good one!
  11. Looks like a great add...thanks for the reports, guys! Really glad to see CF investing heavily in this park. When we visited several years ago (before Fury), we both thought that while fun, it was really a one and done park for us. Since then, they went out and got their signature attraction, did a much-needed revamp of their water park and now have a highly themed family coaster that looks like a ton of fun. With Fury and now Copperhead Strike, I now feel like another trip to Charlotte is in order in my future.
  12. You're lucky to have that place close to you, Bill...those fries look amazing!
  13. Okay, I admit that I have been a slacker with my lack of posts on here lately, so it's time to stop with THAT nonsense! Time to get caught up on my burger pics! This was at a restaurant just off of I-70 in Colorado. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the place, the town...only that this burger was delicious!!! I do recall that it had pickled onions and hatch chile peppers on it....YUM!!! This next one is somewhat local...at Firebirds steakhouse in Erie, PA. While Michael and I had been here in the past and had awesome steaks and service, this 'Durango burger" topped with pepper jack cheese, fried onions, pickles and a roasted garlic ranch dressing was overcooked and somewhat dry. Not bad, but I think that I'll stick with the steak or filet next time. I ordered it medium rare. I made this beauty last week. Caramelized onions and mushrooms with romaine and homemade blue cheese that my friend's son in law made himself on his farm in Colorado! Needless to say, this is probably one of the best burgers that I have ever eaten! Not to gloat, but that was just the perfect combo of ingredients...SO GOOD!!!!
  14. ^^ Agreed, Zach. The last few pages have been painful to read.
  15. I keep cracking up thinking about a new coaster going in any of the areas mentioned in the land clearings from the demolitions...with perhaps the stadium beachfront being the lone exception. Sandcastle Suite area is not even part of the amusement park OR the water park. They've already expanded luxury campsites up into that area. The dorms need a major overhaul...as everyone else has mentioned. Plus it's across the street and isn't a huge plot of land. The old Oceana stadium (yes, I'm old) doesn't open up much space, unless they remove Wicked Twister (which HAS been rumored). Perhaps they could wedge in a twisty beachfront GCI or a compact T-Rex, but we shall see. Since I've been a kid, CP has always put in something big every 2-3 years. After SV and Valravn, I could see them stretching it for 3 versus 2 years. Those were both pretty ambitious additions for the park.
  16. Thanks for the update, Andrew. I'll be curious to see what fills in the old rapids ride area!
  17. LOVE these reports! Even though I'm home from work sick, I still want to try everything shown here. Haha! Thanks for sharing, Adam!
  18. Haha..good one, Andrew! Great report...love all of the fresh fruit and produce. This is like my dream fair!!! Thanks for sharing!
  19. OMG...this is unbelievably awesome news!!! My favorite park just keeps kicking it up notch after notch!
