Great news! I definitely need to experience all of their coasters after dark. -

All Season FunPix is valid at all participating CF Parks. Michigan's Adventure, Dorney & Valleyfair are the only 3 that currently don't have it. That makes sense. You really don't want photo evidence that you were there. -

That's a bit of a surprise - as others have mentioned. Typically Friday nights in the park (especially if it's cold/crappy) are pretty quiet. So yeah...perhaps we need to quit telling people on here that. -

There is this small, rather quaint park in central PA that would really look great with a Rock-O-Plane. -
Sandy Lake Amusement Park is Closing

Thanks for posting, Larry...I got tagged by my mechanic in Dallas about this two hours ago - he knows that I'm a theme park geek. I never like seeing amusement parks close, but it is what it is, I suppose. -
Now that hardly anyone names their children names with normal sounding names anymore, might as well name our pets with them. Humans rarely name their kids Herb, Randall, Jenny, Karen, Todd, Joan or Ernest anymore...all awesome pet names now. LOL

The Ytterbium Analysis

Another great update, Andrew! Count me in as another one that hopes that Conneaut can pull through. While it's no Knoebels by any means, it's very unique and weird...so that alone means that it needs to survive. I went to Waldameer one day a few weeks after Michael passed, just because I needed something fun. I got a Wally Card and did RFII twice...once in the front and back. Both awesome rides, although I completely forgot to take my pedometer off of my belt and put it in my pocket - gone. Stupid me, but RFII was still running unbelievable. So glad that they're taking good care of their royal gem. -
^ My friend and I went and saw them again in Cleveland on Saturday night and yeah...they definitely kill it live. I have to admit that Timmy's Organism (opening band) was pretty fucked up/weird. Love the disco ball. lol Waaaay more crowd surfing/stage diving at this show than in Seattle. Two drummers up close and personal give a unique (and very loud) sound in person.

^ LOL! The friend that I went to visit in Seattle used to have cats named Bob & Chuck when he used to live back here in Western NY.

When I was in Seattle, we went to this little old theater down the street from my friend's house and watched a Japanese horror movie called Hausu (House in Japanese). Seriously, this is the most f%cked up movie that I have ever seen in my life! Anyone else ever watch this? We were a little buzzed going in and were able to order alcoholic beverages and snacks during the viewing. I really needed this in my life...I don't think that I have laughed that hard in years! Seriously messed up weird, corny and full of awesomeness...it's Japanese, so why wouldn't it be??? No one better f%ck with Blanche, The Cat or you're doooooomed!!!! I mean, come on now...how awesome is that???

Likely due to staffing issues. Windseeker and Sky Ride because they'll shut down with just a lick of wind. Others are upcharge and there are two Antique Car rides in the park. Not surprised to see this at all. -

HAHA...that was my first thought too! The concept art reminded me of something German...and German's love beer. Oh well...at least they are giving Voyage some more love. I need to get out there and try it again someday in the front seat. -

I had the same experience when we were trying to play classic video games a few years ago during a ridiculously crowded Halloweekends. I think that I lost close to $5 on games where I would throw in the quarters and it would do nothing, or one of the buttons or joysticks wouldn't work right. Oh well, good riddance...I hope that they get a cool dark ride in there to replace it. -
Caught both Oh Sees shows in Seattle while visiting friends last weekend. I may have suffered some slight hearing regression, but seem okay today. lol Going to their show in Cleveland on Saturday...does this make me a groupie now?

Clearly you have never been to La Ronde. LOL SFSL is the red-headed stepchild to the chain. ( no offense to red-heads or stepchildren) SFSL is the last picked for the kickball game. SFSL has been friend zoned by the chain. probably all bad examples..... but they do explain things a bit. Kevin Clearly you have never been to La Ronde! LOL -

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

As others have mentioned, Sunday's and Friday's in September are prime times to visit because of school, so this isn't all that surprising to me. I think that on any Halloweekend Saturday that you can pretty much predict that it will be a shit-show in terms of crowds, even if the weather isn't that great. A lot of working people plan on going to the park when they can - and that usually involves travel on Friday and Sunday and spend the day at the park on Saturday. I have been many times on both Friday evening and Sunday in nice weather in September and the park was dead pretty much every time. Are there times when it could be crowded? Certainly, but lines will likely never be as long on those two weekend days in September as they will be on a Saturday. -
