  1. ^ & ^^ You guys need to stop it right now. You know that there is absolutely no place for rational discussion in this thread. Mods??? Take them to the Galaxy Theater, lock them in and throw away the key until the second coming of Cuda Falls and Darien Lake has 2 train operation on all coasters!!!
  2. Man, there is some funny shit being posted on these threads today!
  3. Grandma jebus...love the Simpsons reference! This kind of reminds me of the hotel we stayed at in Indiana Beach. I swear that it was all straight out of the Starsky & Hutch era complete with the lime green bedspread, pink tiled bathtub wall and sink (and the obligatory 70's traditional rust streak/stain under the faucet and rotten egg water smelling/tasting water)...and of course, a tube television that was 2'x2' square and probably weighed 200 lbs. This cottage is at least kicked up to the Michael Bolton era. This comment is gold: Can't wait to see the rest of the report...a great start so far!
  4. Was there any kind of farewell ceremony for Witches Wheel? I think that there may have been something involving the eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog. Or nothing at all...
  5. At Leviathan Bash at CW a few years back, we got great seating for the shows debut, as well as a Q & A with the cast afterwards. We loved it! I remember saying to Michael and my father that I would love to see these at other CF parks. Glad to see that it has come to fruition!
  6. Forgot about Moerlein...not a bad local beer. Love that bier garten at KI. Thinking about a trip down for Oktoberfest in downtown and then a KI day. Wheels are turning...
  7. Those hummus fries look incredible...but then again, so does all of the other food. Thanks for sharing, Robb! I find this time of year to be bittersweet as the area that I live in is winding down the summer and theme park season (f%ck winter - lol). But at the same time, all of the new ride announcements are coming out for 2019...and Food & Wine reports are here!
  8. Meh - I much prefer tilt-a-whirl's myself. This announcement was one of those "I kinda expected this" sort of announcements for La Ronde. Serious question: Does anyone think that they will eventually RMC Le Monstre or is this park too far gone?
  9. I meant to ask you that at CP, Andrew...and forgot! I was thinking that it was some type of anagram, so I was trying to decipher it that way. The only thing that I could come up with is "I'm Buttery" or "Yum Bitter"
  10. Great report, Bill...love the bar in the safari. I also approve of this type of behavior. And I'm super-psyched to see SF plastering parks with giant frisbees. As I had mentioned in some random post several months ago, I think it should become law that every park has one of these and a Screamin' Swing.
  11. Okay - What. The. Hell. Is...Maxx Force? Seriously, did I just see that??? Holy chit, man...SFGAm...I'm coming for you next year too!
  12. I am intrigued by these Endeavors despite the fact that the Enterprises make me a bit nauseous. I guess that the key for me would be to ride this before it gets too hot...as well as before I start drinking beer at the park.
  13. Great report, Jarmor...thank you! I REALLY like what Carowinds has done in the past few years. The heritage theming, Fury, local-flavor food festivals, water park expansion, new hotel and now another really awesome looking, unique coaster. Okay, sign me up for another trip to visit family in Charlotte next year!
  14. I'm late to the party for all of these announcements, but damn...this looks really friggin' awesome! Reminds of a differently themed Cheetah Hunt-ish coaster with racing trains. I need to get back to California. Maybe next spring, but we'll see. Good job SFMM!
  15. Even though I was making fun of them getting something like this, it is sure to be a hit with the GP - and anything new is always good. Although I still have to crack up thinking about the scenery up at the top. "Hey, look son...there is a farm!", "Hey, look over there...is that a cow or a horse?", "Oooh, ooooh...I see a big-ass corn field", "Look...there is that same farm again!"
  16. Awesome update, Bert....love Kings Dominion!
  17. ^^ Actually in NE, it's pronounced and listed on some restaurant menus as: "Lobstah". Kentucky f%cked it up.
  18. ^ If you've been drinking beer, the bathroom right by the regular Magnum ride entrance is a perfect location before jumping into the line for that or TTD. I use it often. lol
  19. Awesome report as always, Robb - thank you for sharing and capturing such awesome photos and videos! I really need to get back to KD for Twisted Timbers. Michael's son's family all agreed that it's their new favorite coaster at either KD and BGW (they live in Richmond).
  20. I thought everything was rolling pretty good last Friday - with the exception of the two power outages, of course. I think Dragster ran for most of the day on Thursday when we were in Cedar Shores and then seemed to be up for most of the time on Friday. The only rides that I recall seeing down briefly (according to the app) on Thursday was Rougarou early in the afternoon and Valravn towards the end of the evening.
  21. Yay - been looking forward to this!!! Mmmm...bourbon & brew tent.
  22. That's what I was thinking too. Plus it's Colorado, so there's that.
  23. Not sure if a Star Flyer would give you a more unique view of the surrounding farms, corn and cow pastures than the ferris wheel would? Sorry, but IMO a Star Flyer or Windseeker would be about the stupidest addition that the park could add at this point. F%ck those ideas. lol
  24. Holy crap - that's some bad luck there, Zach. It already sounds like you more than made up for it during your next park visit though. Looking forward to Knoebels and Hershey!
