  1. Son of Beast. Lots of people thought the ride idea was crazy. There was big debate about whether you could call it a looping woodie since the structure of the loop is steel, and a local Cinci church threw a fit over the abbreviation, SOB. Then, there was the big lawsuit between PKI and Roller Coaster Corporation of America.
  2. Wow! What an excellent question. So hard! Here's a list of my all time favorites: EA Sports NHL 2004 (PS2) Goldeneye (N64) Cart World Series (PS1) Crash Bandicoot: Warped (PS1) F1 Career Challenge (PS2) Formula 1 (PS1) Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 (PC) Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball (SNES) Monster Truck Madness (PC) Driver (PS1) Cart Racing a.ka. Indycar Racing II (PC) Jeopardy Jr. (NES) Gran Turismo (PS1) Magic Kingdom (NES) Nascar Racing 4 (PC) Techmo NBA Basketball (NES) NCAA Football 2005 (PS2)
  3. If I had a camera and the editing program to make videos, I would probably use a lot of The Format. The songs "Wait, Wait, Wait" and "First Single" just seem like they would fit well. The lyrics have nothing to do with coasters, the songs just seem like they could fit. I really like the "Best Friends" song by Toy-Box that Robb used for the Orlando Parks vid. I'm not sure why, but I can't get enough of that song. I'm not even really into that kind of music. It's too catchy!

  5. I've never really been to a bad theme park, but my worst trip would probably be my trip to Six Flags St. Louis in 2002. I got to the park only to discover that they opened an hour earlier than I had thought. The park was packed and after about 2 hours in the park, the park sponatenously lost all power. Nothing ran for over three hours. Once it got power back, the lines were huge once again. About the only plus of the day was riding Mr. Freeze with the lap bars (installed that year). Really sucky day.
  6. I go to whatever is cheapest. I will generally search knightsinn.com or motel6.com, as well as travelocity.com and cheaprooms.com. I most often stay at Knight's Inn motels.
  7. Yeah, there is nothing you can do with film that you can't do with a digicam.
  8. Looks good. I would never get one though. Not my thing. There is nothing that I have a desire to have on my body permanently.
  9. I really wish I could have got Jimmy Buffet tickets today when they went on sale. I saw him for the first time last year and told myself I wasn't going to miss it again. I guess I'll just have to do a little shopping on eBay this summer.
  10. Fruitcakes by Jimmy Buffet!
  11. I love Huss Giant Frisbees as well as KMG Afterburners. I don't really consider drop towers to be flats.
  12. One of the weird things I like to know about people is where they went to school, so... -Where do/did you go to college? -What are/did you studying/study? -What made you go there? -If you aren't in college, where do you want to go? or do you? I'm currently a freshman at Indiana University. I'm studying Biology to become an opthalmologist, but in all honesty, I'm not sure if I'll stay with it. Being in school for that long doesn't really bother me, I'm just not sure how much interest I have in it. I didn't really want to come to IU because it's in my hometown. I was actually originally going to two different schools (Florida Gulf Coast University and University of Tennessee), but they didn't work out for various reasons (long story). I've grown to like IU a lot though. It's a nice school and environment. So how about the rest of you?
  13. This was really hard, I'm a big fan of both SFGAm's and SFOG's. In the end, I had to go with the original. I really like the close proximity of the water and bushes during the second half of the ride.
  14. What is your Favorite..... Wooden Out & Back- Thunder Run Wooden Twister- Georgia Cyclone Wooden Racing/Dueling- Twisted Twins (only one I've been on) Mine Train- Adventure Express Wild Mouse- Mad Mouse; Valleyfair! Strata Coaster- Top Thrill Dragster Boomerang- does Deja Vu count (SFGAm) LIM- Ouch...umm, I'd say a tie between Mr. Freeze (SFStL) and Wicked Twister Enclosed- Flight of Fear (PKI) Favorite Theme- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (MGM)
  15. I love Raptor. This ride has the two things I look for in a ride, a great pace and intensity. I can't go without mentioning the BTR clones or Impulses. I really enjoy those rides as well. I think they are all highly underrated, personally.
  16. I've been on many in the rain. MF in the front row was quite the experience I must say. Aside from the pain, it was the greatest ride I've ever had on it. I rode Apollo's Chariot in the torrential downpour. I don't know if it still holds true, but at the time, BGW had the policy that as long as there is no lightning, they'll keep the rides running (with the exception of Wild Maus, when it was there, because of the brakes). Well, it was already running and as we went up the lift hill (in the front seat might I add), we began to get hammered as the rain came down harder and harder. It was quite painful, but one of the best coaster rides I've ever had, period.
  17. Yeah, I kind of had similar thoughts when I looked at it. I came to the conclusion though that it's just the way the plastic is wrapped. These trains do look quite nice I must say. I would love to experience this ride this year.
  18. It's one of my two hobbies. I love to do it, but I'm not that obsessed anymore. It's something I do in my free time if I ever have extra money. I've never been very "well off" so I don't really get to do it as much as I'd like. Therefore, it's hard to keep the excitement because it always ends up being disappointing. Plus, I have another hobby that I love as well and that's racing. I don't actually participate, I just love to watch. I love Indycar racing, so my money is split between the two.
  19. Yeah, I could really care less about Kingda Ka. There is nothing special about it to me. It's a 26 ft taller TTD. Bunny Hop? I could really care less as well. Have you looked at it? Yeah, I know you will be taking it at about 120 mph, but the pitch doesn't look near great enough to cause any real affect. Lastly, look at the trains in the concept video and pictures.... notice anything? I definately notice the OTSRs which send a big red light for me. Why make a fuss about KK with OTSRs when you can ride a ever-so-slightly slower and taller TTD with lap bars. So yeah, who cares about Kingda Ka. Plus, I thoroughly enjoy the theming on TTD because I'm a big race fan.
  20. I have a janky, old school Nokia TracFone. It sucks long and it sucks hard. The alarm randomly goes off at the wrong time, the phone randomly hangs up when I dial a number, and when I have a missed call, it shows the previous missed caller rather than the one who really called. Oh well, I don't really use it all that much anyway.
  21. Well in all honesty, I usually can't afford to go to many parks each year so I don't really waste my time and money to go to a park with just a few coasters. I've actually only been to two smaller parks, and is now closed. Even though I do think it is highly overrated, Holiday World is still a great park. It's just not everything people crack it up to be. I'd have to go with it as my favorite of the two. The other that I've been to is Motorworld in Virginia Beach, which shut down three(?) years ago I think. It was a neat little place, it was pretty much a small go kart complex that decided to add rides, but it was a lot of fun. I would really like to make it to Lake Winnie or Beech Bend sometime soon.
  22. Mine will be the same one it is every year...Chang at SFKK.
  23. I don't know, I definately enjoyed the weight lifting the most. That was hilarious!
  24. ^I personally love floorless'. However I agree with you that unless you're in the front row, it doesn't really matter. But I only ride them in the front row and I think it makes all the difference in the world. I enjoy flying coasters, but they haven't had enough done with them yet. I want something more intense and elaborate. I've been on a Vekoma and two Beemers and was definately more impressed with the Beemers. The restraints are much better, the ride is smoother, and I just thought the overall experience was better. There were some aspects I definately liked about the Vekomas, but still didn't match up to B&M. Anyway, I'm gettin' a bit off topic.
  25. The Beast would definately be my top pick. That ride used to be mindblowing. Now it's just boring and painful. Boss is another. That ride was one of the best coasters I've ever experienced opening year. It's since been ruined by trim brakes.
