How did i miss all of the Riverside stuff? (though it will probably always be Rockin Roller Riverside to me) Thanks a bunch for all the stuff on when the Cyclone was actually tolerable. I used to love that coaster now I struggle to even give it a courtesy ride. I am not sure if I have ever been on an original Intamin rapids ride. I vaguely remember something similar to the whole lake to faster moving transitions and getting stuck at waterfalls at Kings Dominion? back when I was 7 or 8. I remember loving it and waiting a few hours to ride it.

I wonder if they will allow cars to roam around this coaster.

The last time I went to GADV it rained so badly that everything shut down. But one thing that did not shut down was the safari. It was a ton of fun and it made the boyfriend not hate me as much after he rode El Toro. I highly suggest avoiding feeding your extra cheese to the Ostriches. Those birds are vicious. I am not sure what type a cheese the car in front of us fed the damn thing (swiss? american? or my favorite.. cheddar) but the bird would not leave them alone and followed them for quite some time, pecking at their car.

I thought that as well. I cannot remember another time when a U-turn or Speed Bump etc. was not part of a non-elimination leg which made them pointless in my opinion.

Wow. I thought it would be difficult for the park to get worse. I stand corrected. Turbine is easily the best coaster they have, it's a shame that they are closing it.

My guess is you guys are connecting through England at an airport near Lou. As far as a final destination, I have not a clue, though i am very doubtful that it would be GeForce as someone suggested. Though Europa Park is a little more likely. If that is the destination, I am very very jealous.

The whole two flight thing was a little boring in the end when the flight that left first got in first. THey spent way too much time on it for there to be no twist in the end. I really wish they would set it up for the second plane to arrive first. THe best thing about this season is there no sport preceding it. I HATE HATE HATE when football bumps the start back making me unexpectedly get 60 minutes on the Tivo rather than TAR.

I am currently looking at booking a small add on to the Scandi trip and am looking at hotels. I am finding the best prices through a website called Skoosh.com. I have never heard of this company so I am a bit skeptical. Has anyone ever heard of this company or better yet, used them? From what I can tell they are based out of the UK so I figure some of our European TPRers may have more experience with them.

The best part of the day at this park after the ERT was leaving it to go do the rope couse. I know this park is probably better than my opinion of it due to the crowds. Any park would be miserable when inundated with all those kids. It was my worst nightmare of being surrounded by teenagers and preteens. Best birth control ever. If i needed to worry about that sort of thing.

Parts of the Coaster are still standing. I drove by it Christmas day and was surprised to see it still up after hearing of its impending demise. But, like Astro said, despite parts of it still being vertical, it is extremely bad shape.

No question about this one, GeForce blows away any other steelie's first drop. It's not my number one becasue I find the Overbanks boring, but that drop is amazing.

^I have read it 3 or 4 times. I love distopian novels, though I haven't found a good new-to-me one in a while. I am currently reading The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao it's good so far.

It's all about the Vectors. The negative relates to the direction of the acceleration in relation to our standard of measurement, in this case, gravity.

Joe, I agree, your units seem to be off. But they are off consitantly. By my calculations, this has the just about the same acceleration as Hypersonic XLC at about 65ft/s^2 which is just a bit more than 2G (1G=32ft/s^2).

Wow, their wooden coaster information is completely in engrish. Very tough to read. I love their bobsleds and spinners. I'm really looking forward to the Mack stuff!

I believe it got postponed to 2009. When TPR was at Bobbejaanland, I looked over/through the construction fence, and they were still in the foundation stages of construction.

I am surprised that they are still marketing the Land of the Giants. THe concept has been around for years and as far as I know no one has taken the bait. Heck, I don't even think a delirium has been built by itself.

Yes that could be true with some but a few are Orbs. I do research on this kind of stuff so It is easy to tell Orbs from Dust or Rain. Dust you can see through. But Orbs you cant. The pic with you waving goodbye to Corkscrew there isa few on that one. It could also be drops of water. But AT is supposed to be Haunted. Most Haunted did a program from there. They said that the only amusement park area that shows any significant signs of haunting is Hex.
