They should have used the song when Kristin Chenoweth was on the show. I know it was not her song in the Wicked, but it would have been a nice tie in for Wicked fans.

Most Photogenic Coasters
Moose replied to darklingscribe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ How do you not notice that the coaster is built on a mountain when you are looking at the pictures at RCDB. IE this picture ON RCDB. Or you know, from TPR's own numerous updates from Ocean Park. Which Airtime&Gravity got his pictures from. TPR has been to the park numerous times, I wonder if anyone has ridden it... -

^ I think that was the before photo. I wish we had gotten to ride the scad tower. I've always wanted to ride a scad tower. Are you sure there wasn't a scad tower at this park? I'm afraid of scad towers. Would you ride a scad tower? Would a scad tower make me wet like it made steve wet? Could Steve and I get wet together on a scad tower? Wait, is that a scad tower? -
Shane's Amusement Attic

Great update again Shane. Were those kids really petting a full size Lion in the farm animal petting zoo? I had no idea that lions were considered farm animals. -
I voted for number three. WHile I love the two sky pictures, I don't exactly think they are framed in any manner, one of the criteria for the assignment. The s&s tower is also framed well.

This event was soooooo much fun. I almost didn't participate since it really didn't seem like my type of thing. Boy was I wrong. While I wasn't very good (I spun out too much) it was an absolute blast. Thank you for organizing this!

You really shouldnt worry about the spindly little diagonal "supports." Since they are really not supports at all, just bracing, and tension braces as that. (think of a rope) since they are crossed, one will always be in tension while the other bows out. If you were talking about the vertical ones being spindly, then thats another story. -

In those pictures you can see how miserable the rain was and in most groups i would have probably done 1 courtesy ride on Falken. With TPR, we had almost a full train for entire duration of ERT and had a blast doing it. Great great memories. Thankyou for documenting it Hanno. -
Great report. Fun captions. I actually love the somewhat creepy, but very unique park entrances. Thank you for posting this.

^Ah but by sitting in the restaurant you missed the fun of all of us standing under the overhang of a building. Steve got scared a few thousand times. Tom got soaked sing about an his umbrella ella ella, and then someone shut the umbrella and he got drenched. There's no way to control the weather so you might as well make the best of it. After the amazing ERT on Falken (Did I mention AMAZING?) my jacket was no longer waterproof, we were all soaked, but... with fabulous hats and striking ponchos, the day was far from ruined. (Though later Dave's camera would be). -
Pirate Bay Water Park - [RCT2]

Lazy River. It's actually one of my favorite attractions at a waterpark. I could float around and around for hours (and have). -

I don't see how they couldn't contract out the construction, they are an extremely small company. I interviewed with Premier and, at least at the time, they had noone that would manage a construction project, nevermind actually do the construction themselves. Construction started in August for a relatively small ride, I am still gobsmacked that people are already assuming (In October) that a ride that is not set to open for another 6 or so months is already delayed. -

Great report. I love the squash and pumpkin animals, I have never seen anything like that. OMG you survived an Intamin cable even without the protection of TPR hoodie. But really, go figure, a cable break was not the be all and end all of a ride. Shocking. -

^There are other things that govern when projects can begin other than what the ride manufacturer wants (permits, environmental issues, the owner) And if they have begun clearing the land, then they have started the project. -

I don't think the rain ruined our view of the park, though I fear it may have lessened our enjoyment on Lynet. -
Kate Monster (Ave Q) - There's a Fine, Fine Line By far my favorite (serious) song from the musical.

Shane's Amusement Attic
Moose replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I didn't mind it either. I just couldn't remember what it was like before he was added since it had been so long since I had ridden it. I liked the new projection at the start of the ride and it was a nice surprise since I had completely forgotten it had been added. -

Mmmmm Poseidon. 17.... his ass looks so hard you could bounce quarters (or Euros) off of it. -

You were posting about Pirates and then the Piracy occurred. Arrr, me thinks there may be a connection! Great update as always Shane. It was great to see a reminder of the unDepped version after riding Pirates a few weeks ago. -
Wow, those M&M stairs... did they not realize a graphic designed to line up on straight stairs wouldn't work on stairs with a radius. It looks horrendous and a bit nauseating. Nice update (as usual).

Erik & Misty's Smoky Mountain Adventures

I just want to reiterate my love for this thread. I had missed a few updates so I just went back and reread a few pages. I loved the look on Misty's face during the Bear show. It looks horrendously bad and thus awesome in its own right.
