  1. I also got this email. Yoshi (or anyone else that submitted), was there anymore information once you submitted? I'll have to dig through my files to find purchase dates.
  2. I'm sorry I'm posting late. I decided to wait till ChrisHanKwanYulSaturnalivus morning to open the gift to make it a bit more festive. It was a wonderful addition under my tree. Unfortunately, I got my nephew's gift to me that afternoon, a nasty nasty nasty case of the flu and I have been out of commission until today. But anyways, now onto the important stuff... the gifts. The first thing I saw poking out of that US postal service box was a large red mouth. A DOMO TSHIRT! But not just any Domo T-shirt, a Space Invaders Domo T-shirt! But wait, there's more, a DVD! Apparently my gift giver knows I like MEN in tights much more than BOYS in tights! Thankyou gift giver! I wish you all a merry/happy ChrisHanKwanYulSaturnalivus!
  3. The story is sounding similar to Alton Towers 13. At least we will have an opportunity for a punch buggy orange while on a coaster.
  4. The only Potential problem I see with using a monorail is that I am guessing Rowling would want guests to ride in an actual steam train or some equally asinine requirement. And of course Mega-Pitanaha would be better.
  5. I'm guessing some people will be able to figure out or have a pretty good idea of who a gift is from based solely upon return address. But like I said it doesn't really bother me for my person to figure out it's from me, I was trying to play in the spirit of the game.
  6. Is there a reason why you'd want to do this? Let's just say that, in the off chance, your package doesn't make it to it's destination or something happens and it needs to be returned to sender? I only mention this because, the postal services have been a NIGHTMARE lately to deal with. We've had packages from both USPS and UPS recently not make it to their destination, been delivered to an incorrect address, or not have tracking information updated, etc.... I would think it would be wise to have your return address on the package. --Robb I thought it was supposed to be anonymous. I don't really mind the person receiving my gift having my address and I hope hope hope they like what I bought, so it looks like I'll be putting in a return address.
  7. Thanks for the update. The only over the top ones around me are religious (sponsored by a church). I much prefer elephants and megacrocs!
  8. Has anyone found a way to disguise their return address?
  9. I'm going to hold off my judgement on the color scheme until the thing is fully up. I think it's a bit too early to make judgements when we are only seeing the very start of the support tower.
  10. I got my box an wrapping it up tonight! I wonder who will be the first to receive their gift and post pictures!
  11. Went to the local odd gift store and picked up my gifts today. I had to settle for my second choice item because my first choice is out of stock everywhere Now I have to wrap it and get my arse to the post office.
  12. I would hope that they could use the London portion during HHN or even for other nonPotter attractions since it is supposed to be actual London and not some limited Potterised version. Knowing how uptight Rowling has been I doubt that will be the case
  13. This is one type of flat that makes me turn all sorts of shades of green. There's something about the motion that makes me quite ill. Oddly enough I can usually do falling stars and magic carpet style rides. Is anyone else similarly affected?
  14. What? The best ride there always has been and still continues to be the Atomic Smasher! I love that thing!
  15. Thanks Jackie and George, I should have been able to figure out its location, but was lost without your descriptions and pics.
  16. I am absolutely loving the interaction of this with its neighboring coasters. Where do they set up the ferris wheel? Is it someplace where there'd be room for a year round wheel?
  17. ^A top class attraction is all that's needed. I highly doubt many people younger than their late twenties have seen Song of the South, but Disney still built Splash Mountain which remains very popular. A great attraction does not necessarily need a current franchise tie in. The key words being great attraction, an attraction that is mediocre that relies strongly on the franchise for it's excitement will age much more quickly.
  18. I loved this. Let's pull frog tongues together.
  19. Holy Flashback Batman! This may still be my favorite TPR trip, but with all of them being kickass awesome, it's so tough to choose. Thanks for posting this and I look forward to the rest.
  20. True but at least most chains with nearby parks have differently themed things in them. This would be like Disneyland taking out adventure land and adding Carsland 2.
  21. The worst line for me was not necessarily the longest, but it was the most frustrating due to terrible operations. It was tehr super splash at Tusenfryd, Skaff Deg Bilde, that was only running one boat and doing do at a snails pace. Most of te rides there were run terribly the day the TPR Scandi tour visited, but the super splash took the cake.
  22. Looks interesting. Two questions, do you think the Shrek theme added anything to the event? And I this contained in a specialized structure, a tent, or just an extremely air conditioned "normal" space?
  23. If this really is a second Potterverse then I see less and less of a reason for the two parks to be separate entities except to suck more money out of guests.
  24. I was going to ask if you left her with the keys do she could use te ac and radio, but sitting in a hot locked car may have been better than this. And I said nothing about liking Misty over you, just that your shoes matched!
  25. How could I not do this. I must go hunting for bizarre gifts!
