  1. Was there any negative press about how much they overhyped 13? If there was, they obviously didn't learn their lesson. Though the hype probably caused lots of people to visit which leads to increased revenue so if there is no repercussions to this trend from Merlin, I fear it will continue.
  2. I love the giant ones too, but only the giant ones. To me the smaller ones are more intense and make me ill.
  3. I've heard wing riders are pretty much forceless; coasters on the moon would be forceless. The obvious place this is going is the MOON. It's certainly as plausible as some of the parks mentioned in this thread.
  4. The 2012 season is starting to get under way, what park are you planning in heading to next? For me it's still a bit early, but I suspect it will probably be Lake Compounce.
  5. Yay Oktoberfest! That was one of my favorite TPR trips. Your post does not have enough hot German Men in it
  6. ^Do you have any big plans?
  7. I've stayed in a house hat was haunted, after which I definitely believe.
  8. My guess for theming: none. Perhaps the sign or a finish line.
  9. I see this more a failure on the part of Gravity Group than the park. GG delivered a train that has been on site for over a year that apparently doesn't work right.
  10. Not quite true. Most concrete design is based on a "28 day strength" but the actual time it takes it to reach that strength can be much less. Oftentimes they will break sample pieces poured at the same time to check the strength. I usually see concrete with a formal cure period of between 3 and 14 days.
  11. I'm not sure if I'll be able to swing this but it is extremely tempting. Must crunch numbers.
  12. I'm glad to hear this but sad that it's likely because it's forceless. I'm still bitter Baco ate my wallet.
  13. I know I've seen a few balls for inverted coasters; perhaps there are only two balls for floor less coasters? That or the park may have their facts wrong.
  14. There's something about it that doesn't feel right. It could be that all the color is focused on one side. Or it could be that Olympia was stripped of all of its awesome color scheme.
  15. I haven't been to DL in quite a while, but the last time I was there it was painful.
  16. It looks like there may be additional seats in the "squared off" sides. If the seats are around an octagon rather than a square it would brign the total to 32.
  17. On one of my insane rides on Grona's Insane, a very similar thing happened to me. The rotation of the car forced my legs back and my legs/ankles hit the bottom if the seat. But the ride was omg fantastic so I didn't care.
  18. It looks great! I hope they keep up maintenance, players can destroy courses.
  19. I cannot believe she is already 5! Happy Birthday Kristen!
  20. Congrats on making the full day, except Adam.
  21. Oops. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. When making all of these threads the mods copied and pasted from other threads. Looks like we (though it was likely me) missed a change. Thanks for pointing it out. Now back to your regularly scheduled talk o the awesomeness that is New Texas Giant!
  22. I almost didn't use the word for fear that I'd offend you, but since I'm the type that would notice and have no problem with that moniker... I'm sure some gp think that all they did was paint the track red and now it's an amazing ride.
