  1. Yes Do you drink energy drinks regularly?
  2. I know the park has had trouble before, but now it looks like this might be another park to close. Hopefully some company can pick it up and turn it around, as it looks like it has some potential. Freestyle Music Park: Spain anyone? Información newspaper reports that the regional government does not want to spend any more money Link
  3. The two coasters at Stricker's Grove could probably be considered rare. The park is rented out to picnics, and unless you're in one, you only have two other days a year to ride them.
  4. American Eagle, red side, just before closing time today. Photo taken by me
  5. I was at the park earlier today. - The markers have disappeared from by Sky Trek Tower and Space Shuttle America. -Mporium has lost its sign. -The all you can eat pasta plate is a really good deal, and it tastes good too. It is now my favorite meal food in the park. -Buccaneer Battle actually had a line. -It was hot and humid, 80 some degrees with humidity at or above 70%(just checked, 77% now). -American Eagle was racing with two trains on each side. -Viper's queue moved quickly thanks to great line management and operations. There was a person at the ramp into the station letting in only a certain number of people. This is a lot better compared to my last visit when the station was packed and confusing, but there was no one in the queue line. -Dark Knight actually had a line. Carousel Plaza Buccaneer Battle Viper Viper Giant Drop living up to its name Raging Bull Raging Bull Raging Bull Raging Bull Raging Bull Demon later in the evening 10-20 seconds sooner, and this would have been a signature shot Superman from the parking lot

  7. Well I've finally reinstalled the game after I had to uninstall a few months ago because a critical file was corrupted. I'll post a topic when I get more work on the main park underway, but the park will consist of: - amusement park -camp ground -hotel/casino -small hotel -golf course -mixed use (commercial/residential) area SCR3.BMP Town homes in what will be a mixed use, commercial/residential, area SCR1.BMP The main hotel/casino
  8. I think I remember reading that Gulf Coaster occupied the spot now taken over by Roaring Rapids. Can anyone confirm or deny that crowds are light, as I heard, during the Crosstown Classic? It was built at a time when Six Flags was doing a ride rotation system. The ride was also at SFOG before moving to its final home, SFMM.
  9. ^Sorry for being an @$$, but I saw an opportunity after you're second post, and I took it. Text writing is quick, but it is just a pain to read. So what is everyone's thoughts on what Six Flags has been doing the past few days. Was the new loan a good idea, or will it hurt them? Also, will the increased advertising help convince people that they are still open, or do you think most people already know it and it is a waste of money?
  10. ^Yeah, well everywhere else, the first letter of a sentence is capitalized, "I" is used to represent yourself, and "you" is used to refer to someone else. Hmm, I guess the family that I have in Kentucky must be the unique ones down there since they use the same rules relating to grammar that I listed above. To the mods, sorry for being a backseat mod. 11. 1. Learn grammar 2. Six Flags is Not building the park in Dubai. They are licensing the name to Tatweer who who actually build the park. Just like how Disney doesn't own Tokyo Disneyland. Also, they didn't just decide to do it out of the blue as these parks take years to plan and build. 3. Cedar Fair has a lot of debt, and if Six Flags can reduce their debt to $600 million, Cedar Fair will have a lot more debt. Using you're logic, Cedar Fair shouldn't be adding any rides either. 4. You complain about other parks receiving additions, and then as Astroworldfan said, you want Kentucky Kingdom to get rides. However you don't want the cost to be added to their debt. 5. Umm, the new management has been turning the company around, and bankruptcy will help with their massive debt load. If the new management continues what they are doing, hopefully they can finally be in the black. Airtime-at least you don't know bout the park being built in Qatar...oops - &Gravity
  12. ^Yeah, parking is $15 in the cheapest lot. If you don't get a flash pass, hit Superman early as the line gets very long. Same for Ragin Cajun', and even though it might have a short line, it moves slowly. V2 can also have long wait times due to it obviously being able to only run one train.
  13. I think whether or not you're stapled into you're seat on Raging Bull has an effect on one's opinion on the trims. I guess the reason I've liked Raging Bull more the past few seasons is because I haven't been stapled in to my seat as much as previous seasons. Of course, I just like to think the trims are off. Batman is still a really good ride, but I think there is a rough area in the corkscrews. It is only one area, but I seem to remember hitting my head against the restraint hard every time in the same area. Speaking of roughness, how have you're experiences on Demon been this year? I've only ridden in the red train this year, and my rides have been great. It doesn't seem to have that painful Arrow reputation.
  14. ^You are so not cool Good job though
  15. Good trip report and a lot of great pictures. Free Style Music Park looks like a nice park, but it looks like the new owner's efforts aren't working. Judging from your photos, and the other reports on the park, I'm pretty sure it won't be around in 2010.
  16. ^I'm pretty sure it was beyond capacity. I went in the afternoon to take some photos, and I had to park on the grass behind the $15 lot like everyone else was having to do. I believe Superman's queue even went to carousel plaza. So yeah, it was very crowded. If a park is closed due to the weather, then it would be nice of them to say so on their website, but I don't think it will happen. As said before, posting crowd sizes would be a very poor decision from a business perspective. As for the system to tell guests queue times, I believe similar systems are in place at the Disney parks. It would be nice if Six Flags put in a similar system though, as every so often, I'll see a person, usually a kid, who wants to ride something. However, the parents/others in the group think the "the wait time from this point is X minutes" sign at the ride entrance is the current wait time.
  17. It would be difficult for parks to do it because of how quickly conditions could change. However, I think I remember Paula saying something about that one reason Holiday World is on Twitter is so that they could say whether or not the park was closed due to the weather. It would just be difficult for parks to post crowds on their website. Plus, why would a park post something that could keep you from visiting and giving them money? The only time I saw a park telling people not to visit was at Fright Fest in 2007. Six Flags Great America was very crowded, (there were no parking spots and they were running out of food) and on the LED screen on the sign, they put up a message that said to visit another day. The sign didn't do much though as I was leaving at 7-8, and people were still coming in.
  18. Wow, that looks like it should be one good coaster, although I doubt it will hold the speed record. Since the track is high stress track from Intamin, I'm assuming that the wide turns should have some good g-forces, and hopefully there is a lot of airtime on all those hills.
  19. I Write Sins Not Tragedies - Panic! At the Disco
  20. Here is an article on how they plan to get out of bankruptcy, and if it works out, it should hopefully help the company a lot. At the same time, I'm concerned as they are taking out a new $600 million loan, but I hope it works out in the end. Click Me In other news, the bankruptcy won't affect Six Flags Dubai. Another Link
