UP I was really surprised with how much I liked the film. All I knew about it was the basic plot, old guy and boy scout in a floating house and that's it, but the people at Pixar managed to make it very interesting. The animation is unique, nothing like previous Pixar films, and the 3D was weird, but very well done. There are a lot of funny parts, and the film handles the sad parts really well too. It is an excellent movie, and is my favorite Pixar film yet. 10/10

Maybe Grand Bear Lodge will purchase it along with some of the other rides like they did with Santa's Village. The owners want to build a new park, and purchasing some used rides from here would be an affordable way to get some new rides. The log flume is also really good, my second favorite after SFSTL, and it is actually quite long. It is also very fast, and the splash gets you pretty wet.

I really don't understand why people complain about lockers and food prices. 1. Leave carry-ons in the car. Money, cell phones, and some cameras can all fit in pockets. If you bring a larger camera or sports bottle, that is your choice, and you deserve to have to pay to rent a locker. After you win a prize, run out to your car, put the prize in the car, and re-enter the park. It isn't that hard. 2. Yes, food prices are expensive, but you can bring your own food. Instead of buying a meal inside the park, pack your meals, and come out to the car to eat them. Amusements parks are also usually surrounded by restaurants, so even if you don't pack a lunch, you still have many other options on where to eat. Drinks and snacks are the only exception though. There are drinking fountains, so you don't have to buy a soda, and snacks don't have to be bought. Also, if you really don't like Six Flags and refuse to give it another chance, then don't go. One less person in line in front of me. -

^I assume it is because Universal has a better reputation. It seems like Six Flags is always criticized while no one seems to notice that other companies have been doing the same thing for a lot longer. I've heard the rumor about the park closing, and it is obviously not true. It is the only major park in the area, it is the chain's most profitable, rides continue to be added/planned, and the park would be bought by another company before being closed. I assume the rumor came from someone who found out about the chain's financial situation, saw bankruptcy coming, and figured that the park would close as a result. -
It really is more of a family park as opposed to a kiddie park, and some of the adult rides had good cycles. The rides that I did ride, (not a single rider as I'm not that sad and pathetic) were a lot of fun, and some of the rides that I didn't (tilt-a-whirl) looked to have some intense cycles. Even the kiddie tea cups looked pretty intense for a kiddie ride. The Little Dipper was also a lot of fun despite being really small, and there were two moments when there was almost airtime.

The final set. A final night shot of the carousel Another night shot More lights More lights Little Dipper at night It's no Lakeside, but it is still nice More night shots Here's what happens at night Scooters Strange "pull yourself across the pool on a raft" ride Am I at Kiddieland or Disneyland? Part two. The theming on Log Jammer was really nice. It was about the level of Viper's station at SFGAM. Again, a surprise for such a little park. Next up, the final set of photos. Car ride's roof through the trees. The station was quite nice for such a little park Car ride entrance from Log Jammer's queue Log flume entrance Galleon pirate ship Rocking ferris wheel of death Another flat ride All aboard the fail train...err, the train that smells like sulfur The car ride and log flume are quite long for such a little park Noted car ride Another game area One of the game areas strange tea cups type ride $2.75 - the pizza was really good too Noted More Little Dipper - For being only 24ft tall, Little Dipper was a lot of fun, very smooth, and there was almost airtime in some places Little Dipper again More rides Kiddieland Another flat ride

Now, since no one reads these, I will just say that Kiddieland is a great little park, and if you have the chance, you should visit it before it closes. It really is a nice little park, and I hope it beats the odds and reopens in 2010. Edit: pictures switched order from preview. The top part of the sign since that's all I could get from inside the park since I couldn't take a good photo from the parking lot. (crowds and sun) Also, I think these children might be scarier than the hot dogs on top of Superdawg. The line to buy tickets One of two carousels Park Map The Tilt-a-Whirl - not for me Scooters The first set of riders (not those in the photo) on Scooters would not bump in to one another Traffic jam Everyone loves Scooters Free drinks are always good, even if it is Pepsi Polyp - sounds more like a medical term than a ride Polyp Polyp Creepy Clown One of many flat rides Even though it is 1/10 the size, the little frog hopper almost gave more airtime than Giant Drop One of many flat rides One of many flat rides Little Dipper For you lift hill enthusiasts More Little Dipper More Little Dipper More Little Dipper More Little Dipper More Little Dipper More Little Dipper More Little Dipper

Post your milestone coasters
Airtime&Gravity replied to bgwfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My list: 1. Kiddie Coaster - Como Park 1st major. American Eagle - Great America 25th. Twisted Twins - Kentucky Kingdom 50th. Dark Knight - Great America 51st (most recent). Road Runner Express - Kentucky Kingdom I really need to get to more parks. -
The place has been in trouble for some time now, and I'm surprised it has lasted as long as it has. Sure it wasn't a park you'd go out of your way for, but it looked to be a nice local park. Now the only real park in the state is Great America, and it's sad that a metro area the size of Chicago has only one park.

^I'm going to guess it was Tomahawk because of the picture found in the link, but Stampida is still a possibility due to the coasters being together for the most part. -

The title is kind of misleading as aren't coasters supposed to be "runaway" in nature. Another tragic accident caused by human error. Link -

Nice trip report of a totally unique place. Wow, it kind of looks like a run down version of Knuckleheads in the Dells. Both are built in old unique structures (Knuckleheads is in the old greyhound track), and both offer restaurants, rides, and a lack of ride operators. That said, if given the chance, I would visit that place as it looks like a cool little place, and that looping car ride looks like a lot of fun. -
^There will be a 42" height restriction Very nice, although it looks like it would fit in better in Hurricane Harbor. Of course, like Elissa said, it looks a lot better than Deja vu, and even though I miss it, Buccaneer Battle looks great. The theming looks fantastic, and it looks like this will be just a lot of fun to ride. I wasn't expecting much after looking at the concept art, but this ride has exceeded all my expectations. It is also amazing how much they fit in the area, and construction went really fast this past month.

Wow, this ride keeps looking better and better. I wasn't expecting much after looking at the concept art, but this should be a popular ride with families. While I miss Deja vu, it is nice that my home park is adding a non-coaster ride that I can ride since I can't stand the spin-and-puke kind. It will look strange in County Fair, but this looks like it will be one of the best themed rides in the park. I doubt that having to pay to use the water cannons on shore will have much of an impact. The cannons by the rapids ride always seem to have someone using them.

Great job guys, that was really good, and it is amazing what you were able to do. I do have one question though. What was with you being chased by the goblin at Disneyland in one scene, then being in a bedroom with the goblin dancing in the next, and then being chased again? -
