  1. Take My Hand - Simple Plan
  2. Here's the segment: http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=1451857246&play=1 It's pretty interesting. He doesn't mention stay-cations, but talks about the company's financial past and future.
  3. The current management is staying, and an agreement has been reached. Link
  4. Looks like it will be a pretty thrilling ride, and it is always nice to see small parks invest in these types of rides. Belantis looks like an interesting park, and a ride like this should really help them out.
  5. When the Cyclone opens on March 28, the first 100 people will get to ride for free. http://amusementtoday.com/
  6. ^ Reading the article again, I don't know how I misread it. I thought it seemed strange at first, and now it makes sense. Can we ignore by brain fail and focus on the food that was mentioned instead? Airtime-wow my brain failed-&Gravity
  7. More Information has been released on the food and retail options at the park. Link
  8. Looks like the park projects, just like the rest of the projects in Dubai, are starting to fall apart. Link
  9. (F)lannigan's Ball - Dropkick Murphys
  10. It looks like they'll be theming the entire outside area, and from the looks of it, it looks like it will be really nice. Both rides should be good additions to the park, and it'll be interesting to see if the area ends up as nice as it looks in the renderings or if it looks like Mt. Olympus. I didn't really want to see that B&M invert at Toverland as I just thought it would be out of place at a family park, so I'm glad they are continuing to focus on families and improving the park theming wise.
  11. SFGA, SFSL, and SFoG are hardly small parks. Plus Cedar Fair couldn't close SFoG and SFSL as they are managed by Six Flags but owned by their own company (Six Flags Over Georgia Ltd for example). The only parks I see as having a chance of closing are CGA and SFA. I'm not sure about Great Escape I could see it staying or being sold to a different park operator.
  12. ^I could see Great America closing, but I see Magic Mountain and Knotts staying open. They could do what Merlin does with Thorpe and Chessington where one will be a family park and the other a thrill park. While would have some concerns over what would happen to the parks if the current management ran the parks, I could also see some positives. Cedar Fair seems to have a good reputation with the general public, thrill seekers and families alike. If this does happen, it'll be interesting to see what happens, as I am hopeful, but I still have some concerns about what will happen to the parks.
  13. ^I'd guess Great America, although both parks have their problems with a lack of space available, height restrictions, and neighbor troubles. This could be very interesting, and if this does happen, I'd like to see what happens with licensing and season passes. Do they keep Warner Bros, Snoopy, both, or do they not have any? Also, do they keep Six Flag's season pass policy(hopefully) or Cedar Fair's? As long as they keep Six Flags season pass policy and Kinzel doesn't run the parks, I'll probably be happy. Definitely going to have to pay attention to this to see how it turns out. V True, I just liked how cheap Six Flags pass is/was, but I'll still buy a pass with Cedar Fair's pricing structure.
  14. I think there might have been a little misunderstanding about the size compared to other parks. At 1.16 square kilometers, the park will cover 287 acres which would make it the largest Magic Kingdom. So hopefully Disney learned the mistakes from Hong Kong, where the park is just 55 acres, and will build a great park. It'll be interesting to see if a best of Disney is built like Tokyo Disney (although Disney doesn't own that park), a similar park with custom rides like what's going to the Hong Kong park, or a totally new concept of a Disney park like Disneyland Paris.
  15. It looks like this ride will be a lot more thrilling than the family ride I was expecting. While still appealing to families, which is good for Cedar Point, the ride, especially the drops, look pretty thrilling. It'll be interesting to see the finished ride, but I'm already impressed.
  16. ^I doubt it, unless some local park decided they really wanted an old Arrow shuttle loop While it's always sad to see a park close, it's no loss as the park didn't seem very good to begin with, and obviously, if it was popular, it wouldn't have closed. Pretty much all we can do is hope the rides and animals get sent to new homes.
  17. It's official, although it looks like it will be a recreation and not a relocation: Link From RCDB; RCDB
  18. New news article on Little Dipper and Magic Quest: Link
  19. 14/20 - I guessed on some, but not bad considering some of the questions. The last question was awesome though.
  20. Even with it's price, this will still be popular. Families with season passes will probably be willing to pay for it, especially with the season pass for the attraction itself. Even those who only visit once a year, or every couple of years, will probably also be willing to pay. If a family only visits the park once a year, they will probably be willing to pay the fee for their kids so that they have a memorable visit. Plus, for such a long attraction time, the price isn't that bad, especially when compared to the other upcharge attractions. If it is not economically feasible to have a ride the park will remove it, not just SFGAM. Deja vu had a lot of downtime, and aside from the cost, it isn't very PR friendly to have a signature coaster down all the time. Shockwave had problems, and Superman is very reliable. Plus, Superman is the most popular coaster in the park, so it was a great move. SFGAM has a great selection of thrill rides, so I don't see what you are complaining about. Just because we aren't Magic Mountain or Cedar Point, isn't a bad thing...actually, that is a very good thing. While I'll agree with the spin and puke ride comment, the park still has plenty of rides a thrill seeker can ride. The park has one of the largest ride and coaster selections in the world, so I don't see why the park needs to switch its focus to thrill rides. The whole Six Flags thrill ride mentality is one of the reasons why Six Flags wasn't seen as being very family friendly. Thrill rides will be built in the future, but just be grateful for what we have at the moment.
