Photo taken at Six Flags Great America last Memorial Day, and it is one of my favorite photos I've taken at any park.

Which camera do you currently use?
Airtime&Gravity replied to TheScooterGuy's topic in Random, Random, Random
I currently use a Olympus FE-370 and a Canon Powershot S3IS. The Canon is a larger camera with 6 megapixels, but it makes up for the lack of mega pixels by having more features and customization. Now, six megapixels means I can take some nice looking pictures, but it wasn't exactly a camera that was easy to carry it around, especially at parks, so I got the Olympus. It's a small camera, essentially a point and shoot, but it has 8 megapixels and still has a decent zoom. The Olympus has become the camera I usually use, but I still take the Canon if I want to bring a camera and I'm not concerned about storing it. -
I was a little unsure about the ride when it was first announced as I thought the layout didn't suit the potential that a giga coaster had. I am glad to see that I was wrong, and this looks like, and from the reviews is confirmed to be, an awesome coaster. I definitely wasn't expecting to read that this was such an intense coaster, and the ride does live up to the potential that a giga coaster offers.

Going to parks alone?
Airtime&Gravity replied to alilstronger's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I usually go to parks alone, but I usually go to a park on short notice, so I don't have time to see if any friends are going. If I have a weekend where I am in the area, or have nothing going on, I'll just decide to go to the park for a few hours. When I do go with friends I have a great time, but between the little planning time and just spending a few hours at the park, means I visit parks by myself more often than with friends. -

I know, when I first read the article...wait, it was more like skimmed over, I thought the park was bigger. I thought there were multiple rides, and that the park was around the size of the small park in New Orleans. When I skimmed over the article, I thought the park had a small zoo, but rereading it now, it was only talking about the carousel.

Blackpool Gazette I assume it will be a log flume like this: If it is (and even if it isn't) a portable flume, it should be a good addition, especially with Blackpool's having been removed. The one at Taste of Chicago, which is the one in the second photo, is one of my favorite log flumes. It might be short, but it has soaked me more than probably any other log flume I've been on.

I'm not surprised as I remember hearing rumors about its removal a while a go, and I'm surprised it wasn't removed sooner. If it is relocated, I could see it being relocated to Magic Mountain. With the addition of a drop tower and Wiggle's World, they could really help their flat ride selection with additions that would appeal to different age groups.

Fox 59 Fox 59 MOD EDIT by larrygator: You post a lot of news on the site and we thank you, but please try to be less generic in your thread titles. Using the word "park" instead of "FEC" or "indoor park" makes a lot of people (who are unfalimiar with park operating schedules) think of Holiday World and Indiana Beach. Thanks.
