  1. I could see them doing a media day and maybe passholder preview/auction but I wouldn't get your hopes up for a coaster club preview during a pandemic. I'm sure parks are going to be doing everything and I mean everything to be cost effective and make 2021 as much of a bounce back year as possible.
  2. Georgia's Wicked Cyclone gets more and more intense as it goes on. Love it. Fujiyama, Eejanaika, Steel Vengeance, Banshee, Maverick, Phoenix, Mystery Mine, Takabisha/ShellRaiser, Steel Dragon 2000, Twister. Worst finish: Thunder Dolphin lmao
  3. Xcaliber is such an insane ride, glad to hear it's open! Awesome you got to visit and glad you had a good time
  4. Well I never imagined I'd be in between jobs sooo who knows what new part of the US I'll end up in.. let's see: Ideal: I finally get to the NE area and get to SFNE, SFGAdv Dollywood if Lightning Rod is fixed Kansas City + SDC? Carowinds Cedar Point KI Realistic: KI, Cedar Point, Carowinds, maybe Holiday World to finally get on Thunderbird, maybe Kentucky Kingdom. I had planned on being in Florida to visit WDW for the first time since 2002, first time at SWO & BGT, Universal but that's gonna be out of my budget without an income LOL.
  5. And then they're still going to charge for parking the future... lmao. Ugh such a shameless money grab.
  6. Awesome report, great photos, and the Hyatt looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Forgot about that coaster. It's so odd to see a single square train going around that twisty track!!
  8. This seems like a pretty ambitious project for spring 2021, right? Or is this part of a re-brand of the Great Wolf?
  9. The pictures they have been posting had me asking if they are actually of the real ride or if they're the digital rending, they're so saturated and fake looking.
  10. Cannot wait for this project to be finished!
  11. Haven't been down there since the 2009 Texas trip with TPR when everyone was obsessing over 'getting a ride under 45 seconds' or whatever, haha. Do you remember hearing about that? Glad to hear it's holding up well, I have good memories of it! It was cool neon lit at night.
  12. It really needed some work. I hope they do a lot of work on the Beast as well, my non-front-seat rides this year were giving me flashbacks to the Paramount days where it was trying to contend for most painful coaster in America.
  13. As someone who hasn't visited WDW since 2002, I'll really have to consider waiting on Epcot for all of your rationale above. I've never been on Test Track, Mission Space really intrigues me, Frozen looks like a fun attraction but I've yet to see the movies, and all of the food and drinks look amazing but yeah, I forgot that costs money too...
  14. Got it, so restraints are good, trains are good, electrical is good, launch is good, so it's the track + structure. Yikes, sounds like it was tearing itself apart. I recall people pointing out a pothole at the bottom of the first drop. Steel Vengeance gets a structure work year over year, but it's a but surprising since this is a ground up coaster. What a headache, you can really hear the frustration in the guy's voice. I hope this is what they really need to improve the ride's reliability. It's such a tempting destination park with LR being so highly ranked and thought of. I'm really yet sure what I'm looking for in terms of reliability to convince me that if I spend the time and money to get down there that I'm confident it'll be open. Sure it's a nice park with other fun rides but I'm paying for the full park experience..
  15. Huh, so much talk about the ride being re-tracked. I haven't been on it but why is that the focus? I thought the reliability of the ride was the main issue? Or am I just way out of the loop?
  16. To those who for some reason are complaining about Disney adding some really cool looking brand new coaster..
  17. Thanks for a great tour of the park! I haven't been since the TPR trip in 2009 so I'm so excited to get back there and see all of the new hotness.
  18. Great report! I haven't been to AK since 2002 when I was tiny and like yours, my visit to TDS had Journey closed. Can't wait for my first real visit there, love your commentary and photos! Mine Blower seems to escape my mind all the time, looks wild.
  19. Looks just as good as the other big RMC's! I see some Hakugei bits, some Twisted Timbers bits, and the death roll + the turn/flip into the diving stall should be pretty awesome. I'm hoping everything goes right to open this coaster on time whenever they announce an official date. Can't wait to visit for the first time!
  20. Huh, I was there for a wedding last year and had no idea this place even existed haha. Great update, glad you got to get a trip in this year.
  21. That's a great way to paint a picture of the two, Canobie haha. Very accurate.
  22. Agreed, it was smooth! I was caught off guard by how much I enjoyed it, I thought it was just going to be a stale repetitive coaster but even RIGHT after we rode DoDoDonpa the launch was fantastic!
  23. I know it's a limited offer of rides, and a strange trio there... 2 coasters that go upside-down down, thrill coasters and then the wildmouse. I bet it pulls a 90 minute wait each day haha. The passholders will turn out for sure, wether it's just to get out and do something, to support the park and buy in on these events when traditionally they wouldn't, but yeah tough to pay separate admission. Seems like a gamble/attempt to bring out the millennials, not families? Are they trying to figure out which core still has jobs and cater to those with some money to spend?
  24. Aw man sorry to hear you had a ~typical~ ride on Banshee, it's been running SO SMOOTH 4/5 visits this year for me. But yeah your review is on par for how it has run since day 1 in my opinion. Front row rides are the smoothest. Glad you had fun, fast lane is crucial this year with how crowded it has been + 2020 ops. Great report(s) thanks for sharing!
