  1. Never been to BGT, looking at visiting June 18-20 and just hoping that it'll be open. Orrrr just tell us when it'll open so I could plan a visit to Animal Kingdom or something instead. Really, if it's opening on Christmas that's great I just wish we knew soon haha.
  2. Great work all around, it looks like a ton of fun. No dead spots at all as they talked about!
  3. Saw Orion testing today. Still crazy to think it's over a month until the park opens, haha.
  4. It's totally worth it if you've never done an event at KI or did one a while ago. Going under Diamondback, back by the Beast, Banshee, in FoF are always a fun time and I'm sure there will be some cool new access to Orion. Maybe they'll use the old Dino alive path.
  5. Front row was still brutal. What about Comet? Comet rules! Coal Cracker is a ton of fun, too.
  6. I'll wait a month and then determine how risky it would be to make a visit. Cmon Dollywood!
  7. That's good to hear! I'm also seeing that a 5 day park hopper ticket is the same price as 10 day admission. That will be plentyyy enough time to do everything and be able to reride the big rides that I really enjoy. There's so much good food and drink all over Disney I am not concerned there, I have actually been to Ohana when I visited Universal, my group took me over there for dinner and I understand the love people have for it and those types of restaurants.
  8. While it's a lot of fun golfing at the Mason Grizzly course next to KI, really wish they were opening next weekend. Or this weekend. No clue why they're waiting till May, it's been at worst 50s and typically 60s around here in March.
  9. Such an interesting past 10 years for Dollywood with LR issues, changing MM, the topple tower fail turned into a drop tower, the amazing ropes course then turned into the area for Firechaser, and didn't they remove the splash battle?
  10. I love fireworks and good eats, but meet and greets/shows aren't really my thing. I really want to revisit all of the rides I've forgotten about and see all of the new attractions. I haven't been on Dinosaur or EE, Test Track, etc WDW is essentially 4 new parks for me haha. I would be visiting in June!
  11. Catching up on this thread, great stuff! Thanks for writing!
  12. Just a general question for you all. I haven't had a real visit to WDW since 2002 when I was 11 years old. Would visiting now, with limitations like no fast pass be a mistake? Should I just wait for when things are back to normal? I am likely visiting for BGT/SWO/Universal and WDW is right there, I haven't been paying too much attention to how they're operating until recently.
  13. I'm 5 hours away, and if I drove down there, paid full price for admission, and it didn't open all day I'd be pissed. I mean is there really a way to find out if it's running then day of other than seeing people post on socials about it? Or is that site posted above dead accurate? Smokey Mountains are cool but hotel room cost is gonna add up if you're just down there literally waiting for the day that it's actually operational.
  14. If it can run consistently over the next month and MM reopens with no issues, I gotta visit. Really LR's unpredictability was the only thing keeping me from going down there.
  15. Just here to pay my respects to Mystery Mine. I never had any issues with keeping my head forward to prevent any headbanging, and that drop was truly terrifying. Still an all around great ride, but it's crazy to see them go to that effort to rebuild that section. One less element, meh glad they are committed to keeping MM around for a long time. Lap bars would be a welcome add but with the finale I think it would scare off the GP.
  16. Thanks for posting some photos, looked like a great group and a lot of fun!
  17. Eye roll emoji x100000. So many locals wanna visit ASAP! Cincy just had the first measurable snow TODAY. Weather in April will be amazing. Cmon CF.
  18. Can't make it this time but love that it's happening. Hoping it's a success and there might be another night!
  19. I think 2021 will be the year I finally get on El Toro. I can't let it escape me any longer haha.
  20. My Banshee rides were in July and September and October. I don't remember the train colors but they only used the same 2 trains all season. I have heard the blame being pointed at one train in the past.
  21. Music festival as a theme is kinda hilarious but works out if they wanted to create a coaster that would give you a similar experience to being a raver on acid at an EDM fest haha! I really don't care what they call it, the coaster looks nuts and will have good decorations.
  22. Great report, it was definitely a weird year. I think I missed you by a day 2x haha. Banshee's Jekyll and Hyde impression for me was it was running the best I have ever thought! I have been a harsh critic of it in the past for the vests + vibrating bumpyness but I didn't experience it this year. Orion definitely got better as the year went on/as you got more rides. While I still feel like it is missing one more element, it's absolutely just as fun as the other big B&Ms and smooth/rerideable.
  23. Cool to see! I got to make a visit there back in 2013 or so when they first came out with the TimberLiners. Looks like they're still in the same spot and doing well!
  24. I'd love for them to open on time/early. CF knows how many gold/plat pass holders are out there, and there's a ton of em! Possibly the most they've ever sold? People will be more willing to travel this year and get their annual vacations back on track and eager to visit.
  25. Interesting, so they're not ground up builds? Looks like they are homes that were rolled in.
