Wow, glad they are seeing success with their 2020 investment! People seem to like it on a Mystic Timbers level.

Orion, Fury, all the B&M hyper/giga coasters are so much fun to hang over the side of the seat. You can't do this on more intense coasters and. I love re-riding and looking left/right, behind etc. Fury and Orion are so smooth and fast and comfortable, and the most re-ridable coasters out there.

I noticed that bump at the bottom of the big drop too, but the main difference was the front row of the car vs the back row. Back row never felt anything but the front row I felt bumps here and there. The half pipe is so fun with those new Intamin lap bars!

SFFT is such a good park.. and I haven't been since 2009!! Great report, I need to get back!

I like Skyline best as the dip. Cream cheese + Skyline + cheddar, baked. Then your fav chip. I believe Skyline is the best over any Blue Ash/ PRC / Dixie /Goldstar but they're all so similar it's not that much of a difference. Only if you know Cincy chili do you really have a 'fav'. Btw Orion is a ton of fun, Banshee is running the best it has ever ran this year, Adventure Express & Bat are excellent Arrows, and there's a ton of good beer and non chili food at the park, get there!!

[this is just a shitpost for fun] Man just got off Cosmotron and got the shortest cycle ever, they played Walmart Yodel Kid, so unlucky it's only like 2 minutes. It was still fun though

Yikes, sounds like they need to grow their internal team to help with all of the extra communication that's needed during these times. That's exciting that they get the indoor shows and fireworks for Christmas time!

Hoping to hear some reports from the past 2 weekends, the midwest is going to have some colder weather this weekend and I'm interested to see how crowds react.

This is exactly what has happened this season.

I just hope for more uptime. I haven't visited since 2014 and I've had the chance to visit many times since then, but I couldn't bring myself to risk spending a lot of time and money to get to a park that's kinda tough to get to and the star attraction could be down for a whole 3 day visit.

I have to say I rode FoF for the first time in years last week and it was in such great shape rode it again! Front row and back row! Yes the MCBR always halts it to a full stop but that's what makes it different than the others. For the original launch coaster from 1996 wow running so well. Orion is pretty great, I really enjoy it the more I ride it. I just don't love it like I love Millennium, Fury, I305, or Steel Dragon. And that's okay! It's still awesome.

Honestly it's because most of the staff outside of Orion/Banshe/MT is working on a weekend by weekend basis, or brand new and working their day 1. When I checked queue times earlier, Orion was down, Drop Tower was down, and everything else had a 50-90 min wait

It seems very elegant and I am sure it'll reach Soarin' levels of popularity. I'd totally have to re-watch the movie as it didn't appeal to me as a kid and I couldn't tell you why he's the Beast and who the bad guy is. The capacity seems pretty great between the pre-show, long ride time, and the amount of guests in each bundle. Pretty good looking! Then remember it has its own area of the park + shops + dining. All round awesome.

Some photos! Other notes: Adventure Express feels like a different coaster the way all of the woods have grown in around it post Banshee and SoB land clearing. Flight of Fear was running so well. Rode in front and back and both were smooth and forceful. SoB station has activity. The lights were on in the area and there we extra power cords feeding to the station. Sorry I didn't think it was worth taking pictures of you couldn't see much. Also if you like craft beer - there is local Oktoberfest offerings from Sonder and Rhinegeist that are fantastic. Tim bar tends at the Brewhouse by Mystic Timbers, visit him! He's awesome and will let you try samples of beer (yay disposable cups!). Kings Island continues to do little things to make the park feel refreshed every year - check out the new signs in Diamondback's station! It's September in Cincinnati. That means it's Oktoberfest Zinzinnati! Sun is setting at 730 fast and getting darker sooner every day so you will be able to get night rides even at 8pm closing. Speaking of night rides, let's try out a new night ride! Orion is awesome at night - you crest that hill and stare into the black abyss! Orion's seriously awesome. Make sure you get fast lane to ride it as much as you want! Front row, back row, row...4?! Row 4 rules! Ride in every row! There are so many cool touches throughout the queue, station, and area 72. Banshee was running incredible. The smoothest ride I've had on it. Finally got a Beast front row ride this year! WHAT A DIFFERENCE in how smooth it is up here vs any other row lmao. Mystic Timbers was excellent as usual! You'd think it's just as fast as Orion the way it rips through the course.

No food period will be a win for everyone because there were M&Ms and Skittles everywhere on the ground when Alex and I visited That combined with soda spills and that slippery newly-paved/painted floor I was shocked I didn't see anyone bite it haha Those commando security guards are so plentiful and the park is so small give 'em a broom and mop

wiyoh1984 and I had a great day at KI on Saturday, and it was great to meet Ape as well. It was like a mini TPR day! FL+ was needed. As the previous weeks have shown and as I've called out - it's just packed. When I got off the exit I was surrounded by KY and IN license plates. I imagine the following weeks will be just as busy with the Fall food & bev event. What makes wait times deceivingly long is that KI's staff is still constantly being added, so you've got inexperienced operators which is better than no staff! Just be prepared to be patient. Seemed like every other ride there was someone being trained. Mask usage/safety restrictions still being enforce, love it. Ops are telling people to cover up their nose, wear face coverings properly, and there are signs at every ride saying 'no mask, no onride photo' haha. Well done KI. It is shitty that FL for the reduced hours days are still the same price as the longer Sept/Summer days ($95) But it is what it is. So either pay up for FL and have ERT all day, or get there at opening get a few rides in before crowd multiplies too quick and all the queues are full. Adventure Express had the line out to the midway, Orion as well. Sun sets FAST at 730 (and earlier each day) so 8pm night rides will be possible. Just gotta plan ahead because everyone wants a Beast night ride. I'll post some pics later! Orion row 4 is my favorite row?!

I'll give you the advice I've heard given to other people - make sure you get everything out of all of your pockets so you're not sitting on wallet/phone isn't giving extra space. CP seems to be extra tough with those seatbelts.

I'd get it! There's no OSU football, people have given up on the Bengals, and no one believes in the Reds. Anyone in the tri-state area with a season pass is probably going to be there

Mystic Timbers is CLEARLY the better 'story driven' coaster all the way My gracious, this new area and coaster looks fantastic. Looking at the park on Google Maps it's incredible how tightly woven in each attraction is. Easily one of the top bucket list parks for those who haven't been.

Last Saturday 10PM close night of the season this weekend, I'm probably going to get FL+ and actually get multiple rides in since I had one real visit this season. Anyone else going on Sat?

Back in Cincy for these last two Saturday Night opportunities at KI! Anyone else going feel free to reach out. It's been 85* here recently and the forecast looks like it's going to stay that way through the weekend. Likely gonna be another busy couple days as locals are getting the most out of their pass and people are coming in from out of state.
