You can buy fast lane online the day of, IF it's not already sold out. Passholder weekend I bought it online when I pulled up a mile back in the car line. You can only buy FL online/on app. You pick it up once you enter the park on the left. I think today was more so people getting an extended holiday weekend, but who knows. To be fair FL+ was only $75 and FL was $60. Pretty cheap, I think it's usually around $90. Fast lane waits are 10 min or less, Mike can detail that. FoF is just the longest due to capacity and the merge line is at the space ship.

I ended up leaving since the park is just slammed. Looking out from the Tower every. Single. Food. Drink. Has a 30-60 minute wait! They need help badly. So many closed spots. This isn't a 'just busy at lunch/dinner' it's all day. So be strategic if you're at the park all day. Mobile ordering is not available. Great meeting @Mike240SX !

Orion had been down but is now testing. Short wait for it once it is re-opened!

Got to the parking line at 1045 and took me 30 minutes to get in. It's gonna be another sold out day! Perhaps everyone extended their holiday weekend? This is nuts!

I'm not going today haha, I'll visit sometime this week. I had a few visits last year and went passholder weekend this year. Orion is a ton of fun but if you haven't been on it yet I'd recommend you get more than 1 or 2 rides on it. I like it the more I ride it, it's just a really fast coaster so it's over before you know it! Multiple rides allow you to appreciate it more for sure.

During a week day FL won't sell out so you could just buy it if lines are 30+. I'm hoping we'll only have 15 minute wait times but who knows with this year! There are just sooo many locals and tri-staters with passes coming in full force to see Orion. Today will be interesting to watch as it's only a high of 57* it's like a fall day. Let's see if it still hits capacity!

Less than 3 weeks for my visit! Honestly cannot wait. Reading the past few pages hesring 15 rides over a 3 day visit is great. I'll make sure to check out that Bourne show @JRice92

Park isn't open for daily/weekday operations yet. I'm curious to see how crowded it is as well, I'll probably visit on Tuesday or Wednesday and report back.

Twisted Cyclone isn't difficult to top in terms of height and speed or length so perhaps they're going to one up SFOG to grow in the ATL market! .....if it isn't the family coaster model.

I was really looking forward to returning this year while I'm living in Ohio but I'll stick with the other parks that are functional. Bummer. I love Maverick and Millennium and SV but it just doesn't look worth the drive + $ to stay and eat/drink for the experience. Orlando here I come!

I bought FL that Saturday when I was waiting for parking to open. You can only buy FL online so if you get to the park and need/want it buy it on the KI site or app. You pick up the wristband at the front gate, but gotta buy online.

I see Sarengeti Overlook Pub on the map and that sounds like a great time. Anyone else care to comment on their experience there?

Isn't it great when a new bucket list coaster opens? Seriously it looks amaaaazing. Glad to hear it delivers!

Some notes from my visit during passsholder Saturday: Park hours 11-10. Parking opened at 10:10am. Last year rides opened up around 10-15 minutes before scheduled hours but not this time. Also they usually play the national anthem before opening which is hilarious to see reactions from everyone..but maybe I missed it this time? Someone please report on if this still happens haha. The pretzel at the Brewhouse is great, comes with beer cheese (not shitty neon ballpark cheese) and mustard! Adventure Express has added lights/themeing in the second tunnel. Food/bev lines were insaaaaane. We are smart here on TPR, we don't eat at peak hours! This made no difference. I ended up staying to close, and I think I had my pretzel around 8pm at the brewhouse which I didn't have to wait long for, but that's the advantage of the bar. Hopefully the park can get more help, but I am not sure if that's the issue. I believe that dining plan is bought by 70% of passholders. Racer was running fantastic. Like as good as the Hurler & Racer 75 retracks in 2018. Gravity Group did an awesome job. Beast gave me on of the most painful rides ever last year, and typically I only ride in the front to make sure that I never get a bad ride. 2020/social distance didn't allow you to wait for the front seat. 2021 we can pick our seats, hooray! The 2 front row rides I had were great. Diamondback running with full trains makes it feel like an above average B&M hyper again! Banshee running with full trains is great but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did last year. I had some amazing glass smooth rides in 2020 but 2021 it's back to the usual Banshee. I really think that it's not a rough coaster, those vests just hug you into the seat so tight you feel every imperfection on the wheel/track. That first drop is wicked! Love to see Drop Tower running consistently. Delirium was down/testing. Windseeker is even more fun with Orion right below you. Boo Blasters was a fun ride to revisit, it's okay for what it is. Knotts bringing back Beary Tales gives me hope that KI could take advantage of fhe omnimover base here and restore the Phantom Manor. But when you're winning golden tickets for your kids area I doubt they'll ever change it. Orion is essentially a brand new coaster for 2021 for the GP so the only thing slowing down the ride's operations is the walk of shame. The lines we've seen for it so far are pretty impressive, but remember it's not just Ohio locals coming to KI regularly. You've got Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan folks coming in. I'll be curious to see how lines are during the week but if you want more than 2 rides in 1 day without waiting 2+ hours just budget FL. Orion has a good looking light package at night and the park added more lights in the helix calling it 'Orion's Belt'. It's just a really fun re-rideable coaster that's focus is on speed. The first drop seems endless, the wave turn is taken at 1000%, the speed hill gives good air and the final sideways hill and jump into the brakes are the stand out airtime moments in my opinion. Mystic Timbers still hauls ass. No one spotted my Fuji Q hoodie except for 1 older dude in the beer line who just wanted to rant about Kingda Ka being the best and was still very mad about Rebel Yell being changed to Racer 75. Where we the cool nerds at??

Kings Island always has Been a #1 family park. Look At all those golden tickets It is the best Kids area in a theme park in the world

Talk of improved 2 train ops and LR running are making me contemplate a visit during the week next week or the week after, especially with cheap hotel rates during the week! Looks like even if I'm just going to go for 2 days the season pass would be the best deal to cover parking, admission, and they're offering 2 meals for their spring festival for food and flowers. Is that the way to go vs a 2 day ticket for $100 + $40 in parking?

Great discussion, thanks for the info! We are staying at the new hotel right across the street so parking isn't an issue since they have a shuttle. Hilariously a Lyft seems like the best stress free way to get to our Universal Loews hotel from BGT. It's only $94! A car rental starts as low as $85 haha.

Looking at 2 days at BGT, 1 at SWO. The three day ticket sounds like the best option, right? Has anyone else purchased? $132 seems like a great deal. Chillin with kangaroos is always a good time! Yeah though the BGT lineup minus Gwazi is still top tier. Pumped for Falcon as well!
