  1. Thanks for the comments! If you see yourself in any of the photos, help me put a name/username to the face and let me know who's who! B&Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Love me some log flumes This is what face you make when you realize you don't have hours of ERT on Every Coaster! Diamondback, Raging Bull, Goliath...all top knotch rides. Goliath is one of the my favorite rides, for sure Show me your paws? Paws out little devils? Am I doing it right? I swear this isn't photoshopped or edited in any way. Hahahahahahahah. And yes, she has one tooth. Everyone should see this lmao Every expression is priceless haha. And this is where I was taking these recent shots Hello new hotness! When you haven't been to a theme park in 12+ months, rides feel a bit different While Goliath's first drop isn't amazing, the rest of the ride absolutely is. Straight up straight down I had no idea it only had lap bars until I sat down in the seat. GREAT idea! The only negative (to each his own) I saw was a rediculous amount of guests taking POV's. Perfect theme park weather, I love Atlanta Dive dive dive! Thank you SFOG and Robb/Elissa/TPR for the park perks! I could have NEVER gotten these shots.. Cedar Point is still butthurt So, let's take this straight piece of track...and make it badass by twisting it Awesome! Hop on, RD! This ride is intense. I swear Batman transfered its intensity to Mindbender. Pretty thankful to have been able to ride Mindbender and Shockwave many times Simply a classic Follow this track to find the '3rd' loop Stunning is a good word Sure we're here to ride rides...but it's reallyyyy about the awesome people! Speaking of RD (My)The Cincy / half turned FL crew! Jamesdillaman and Julia on the right and Chadmanda on ze left The big dippa? I'm either going to eat it or snort it
  2. More and more We had tons of ERT on DDD Oh yeah the weather was fantastic! Rapids ride don't have sh*t on Water Challenege GASM! It was cool in the morning and then very nice in the afternoon, but I didn't ride Can't really see much of this ride, SFOG has a unique terrain h20 Lifthill to heaven? Coming 2013 - The Dark Knight: I used to be fat Backstage tour time! The classic out and back. So nice! Just a momento Here you can see the backside of Texas Isn't photography awesome? You had such an interesting angle from this part of the tour. Only with TPR! Six Flags staff that led us around gave us plenty of time to look around Unfortunately my ride was pretty darn rough. But still a respectable coaster Superman behind the scenes was really cool! Thank you Deep South Bash! Whole new view of this ride Weeee! Hello Atlanta Holy schnikeez that's close Too much fun Louis CK imposters are everywhere September setting in Great tour guides! More coming soon!
  3. Hey TPR, My name's Zach and I've been posting photos on here for about 4 years now, and SFOG is the first place I started using my Nikon at in '08. I don't use photo shop or any editing software, I just crop every now and then. I like to take pictures that represent the closest image to what I'm seeing through my eyes. Well unless I'm doing some camera trick. I was very happy to take the Nikon back to SFOG, and I'm satisfied with the results! 2010 and 2011 were slow theme park years for me, I only really went to Kings Island once and then my two trips to Midwest Bash and last year I attended Deep South Bash! It was a great time and a nice vacation from Cincy, and Six Flags Over Georgia (and Brad) made sure everyone had an amazing experience. I came down with my buddy James Dillaman and his wife along with his two friends; we went firsbee golfing that Friday and went downtown ATL the day after Deep South. It was great to meet new people and see familiar friends and I can't wait until next year! I haven't posted a photo trip report in a hot minute, so enjoy and make sure to LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS! @photoboothez orrrr facebook.com/zach.boothe ---> For more photos and info! Ah, it's nice to be in the South! All of these students better be drunk Mmm Goliath Haven't seen this hotness since 2007! At night after Carrabbassssss So nice One of the best turns Beautiful And it's time for DSB! Airtime o plenty Get em high Lovely colors Cheezin I hadn't been on a coaster since '10 Midwest bash! Hahahaha panda head SFOG is such a nice, quality park. Ohhh so pretty Smell that fresh pine Goliath was running really well Oh hey new hotness! DDD is a fun and surprisingly tame coaster from the G-men. Can you spot Jizzman? DareDevilDive looked brand freakin' new The first drop was a surprise! Lap bars = scary Oh, and zerrrooooo gggggggeeeeee Part one is done, more to come!
  4. I like what DKR did. I'm just not sure if the normal comic-ish TPR font is working well with a sleek, newer fresh-esque design in my opinion. Announcements should catch your eye a bit more, and maybe the Random Stuff isn't front page worthy?
  5. I probably rode Diamondback over 700 times when I worked on it in 2009 April-October 31st. Some days when it's dead we'd rotate and ride all day haha. And slow days after work? Damn, like, atleast 10-20 times a day. There's no other re-ridable ride at KI..maybe Drop Zone. Sooo since Diamondback is 5282' long, 3minute duration, and 1620 people per hour...I rode that awesome B&M for about 710 miles or so, for 35.35 hours on the ride, and with about 15,500 (possibly) different people!
  6. If NTG was there when I went to SFOT in '09 I think it'd be my favorite park. Hell, it might be without it!
  7. I forgot about Cheetah Hunt. And the off season.
  8. Two things that made me dislike Intamin's super splash ride at first: -Getting hit in the face with water on the way down the first drop. Painful and you can't see. -The inconsistant splash pool water level. Pilgrim's Plunge a year after opening was much better with the water level, very smooth splash and skipping across the water. But hopefully they won't run into mechanical/water level probz that PP had to go through. When I rode it the first time it was absolutely painful the way the boat flew down the drop only to come to a complete stop when you hit the water haha. Like Tyson punching you in your gut! I was let down by the ride personally, but I'd love to see how well it may do overseas.
  9. Danny you're the man. Love following your reports!
  10. Love seeing pics of Holland Goliath!
  11. Hot damn look at all those pretty photos! Awesome report!
  12. What's Andrew doing over in the UK? haha
  13. People taking offense over the correct term of 'little people' on TPR, this is hilarious haha. Half Pint brawlers were back at KI this year; I think anything wrestling is stupid, and acting instead of a sport. But they seem to draw in some crowds, I think? WOF looks like they put on a nice Haunt this year.
  14. Sad to hear about the Diamondback line moving so slow. Damn, when I worked on that ride if the whole entire queue was full; it was only a 45 minute wait, turning 1500-1600 an hour. A full queue should never be 90 minutes. Glad you enjoyed yourself, though. I would have gotten the Fast Lane. 40 bucks is worth riding every single ride as many times as you want throughout the day.
  15. Pretty impressed with Kings Island this year. Operations were great, and the whole park looked really nice quite honestly. -Beast gave a great ride a night -Windseeker looks fantastic and is a nice addition -Fast Lane is totally worth the money. Skipped 90 minutes lines all Saturday. -Flight of Fear put a bunch of laser lights and stuff in the tunnel...simple but awesome! -Diamondback hauling ass, seriously was awesome. At night all the fog fills in the bottoms of the drops; so much fun! -Whole park completely decorated for Haunt -Stunt Track has....new effects in the helicopter scene?! But yeah on a Saturday where all parking was filled up, and over flowing out of Boomerang Bay parking, the only line the Fast Lane had us wait for was Firehawk. And they were running FL line to one station and the other line to the other station; 30 minutes for Fast Lane. I actually had a great time, and I'm glad I didn't buy a pass. I won't buy a pass next year; and will probably just go once again in October.
  16. Awesome photos as usual, nice to see them back. Especially at KI! I'm going Saturday, can't wait for Haunt. Damn, I need a wide angle lense. My 18-55 is great, but some of those wide shots look really sick, and give the perspective of what's going on as if you're standing there. I'll have to add one to my arsenal.
  17. They open later because most of their employees who have to work Friday night have to stay until 3AM usually, when the park closes at 1AM. Trust me, two years ago I had to work haunt until about 3AM then had to be back to KI to open Diamondback at like, 9am. Yuuuuup. Good 'ol Kings Island.
  18. Fridays will always be less crowded due to that fact; but it's also going to be 75 and sunny as well so expect more crowds. But usually in the past the first couple of weeks have less crowds. And around 11 or so the locals will get their last rides in; so you could get extra rides between 11pm-1am.
  19. It's going to be 75 and sunny, it'll be effing packed. No lie. I'm assuming, by the way.
  20. Goliath, row 4 or 5 at 1030 at night at Deep South Bash!
  21. It's Always Sunny in Philly, The Office, Boardwalk Empire, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Dine In Dives and Drives, Man Vs Food, and Walking Dead
  22. Ummmm the Haunted Hoochie at Dead Akres in Columbus. They're allowed to touch you, SUPER violent/gory/sexy http://deadacres.com/ Check out my Halloween special from 2009: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=53058&p=820340
  23. Oh wow. Wow. New hotness is everything I could ever want. Crap, I seriously might just start working extra to go on this trip. Really, really want to go to Hershey and Great Adventure, Knoebles, BUSH GARDENS! Haven't been to KD yet, haven't been to Carowinds since 2004, and I loved lake Winnie and SFOG!
  24. Not too big of an aquarium guy, but I was really impressed with the Georgia Aquarium. Didn't make it to Coke world, but was obviously right next to it. Maybe I'll stop by on the DSB 2012 trip!
