Camden Park in West Virginia is a fun smaller park with lots of classic rides. I wouldn't say it's an all day park, but you can easily be amused here for a few hours or a half day. At one time Camden had an Arrow shuttle loop coaster that was relocated from Kings Island, plus a rarely seen Chance Skydiver. The park's wooden coaster, Big Dipper, has a great pop of hairtime on the second drop, and those old NAD trains are way cool. I'm sure someone on TPR counts their Haunted House dark ride as a coaster credit! weeeeeeeeeeeeeee crrrrunch! -

^^ Ditto to add. Tivoli is astoundingly gorgeous. POAS is one of the best flats in the world! Had such a great time here on the TPR '09 trip. Looks like everyone is having an absolutely amazing time. Thanks for the update, Robb! -

Interesting PTR, Tom. I knew absolutely nothing about these parks, so it was good to see from your photos regardless of the rain on your last day. Thanks for sharing (and your sacrifice out in the torrential downpours) and looking forward to seeing your next hopefully much drier adventure! -
I think the area of Power Park is by far the most northern I have ever been on the globe. I don't think the sun ever went completely down while TPR visited in 2009. I enjoyed this place immensely and the hotel on-site was nice too. Excellent park and PTR. Thank you for sharing. Did you partake in the go-karts? Absolutely can't wait to get back to Finland again.

California's Great America is a park many thought was a goner just a few years ago, but it seems to be on the rebound now. I like that CGA still operates their cable car attraction, one of the few left in the US after so many were removed. The Paramount days...by the way I have a few extras of these so pm me if interested. -

And now a more modern look at BGW in the mid-2000's era... 2004 WOLF X ING 2005...DarKastle! This is probably my favorite dark ride outside of Disney! 2006 -
Zippers?
thrillerman1 replied to leviathandude306's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just imagine the boom stopping horizontally and lowering so the lower half of the carriages can unload/load. Then the other upper half moves and can do the same before the boom rises back up the tower and starts the ride cycle. -
The park looks brand new. Thanks for the great pictures. Much success wishes to KK!

Zippers?

The Zipper is one of the only flats that still makes me really nervous. It's seriously intimidating to me just watching it in action. I haven't ridden one in years but would love to again. Such a beautiful contraption. I imagine a bulkier park model with open cars, OTSR's like a Chaos, and lowering horizontal boom for multi upload/unload for higher capacity. -

One of my all time favorite parks is Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Here is a look back... In 1978 something has surfaced at The Old Country Nessie artwork! 1981 Parking is 2 bucks. Shows! -
