  1. Outstanding photos! I also noticed how ridiculously wide the track is compared to others. Mmmm, my favorite inverted coaster and what looks to be the best dive machine to date - side-by-side...
  2. I hate this saying... but wow, your photos totally "own" mine. I wish SROS was THAT dead on Friday!
  3. I used to like some anime until my ex g/f (who REALLY liked it) got all creepy and WAY too into it. I used to really like the "Trigun" series.
  4. ^ Thanks for checking them out! 2 trains is definately a great thing on SROS but it's sure to spoil next season when the place is crowded and the red train is on the transfer track. Even though SROS is my #1 I don't think I could ever wait more than 20 minutes for it seeing that I've been on it a couple hundred times!
  5. Even better since it's closer to me! I've always wanted to ride Zippin Pippin.
  6. Here's my photos and commentary from said trip... A dark shot of Cyclone. James is in the very back seat somewhere. Tomahawk (Huss Frisbee) had it's gondola removed. Here is the stump... So yeah, apparently SFNE has some kind of deal with Scion as there was Scion stuff everywhere. Here's Pete with a badass Scion TC. Halloween show in Rockville. Pete with some of the Halloween theming. The Area 51 Fright Zone. Freezing riders return to the station on blue train. SROS starting its twisted finale. The best moment of any coaster... ever. So not only is the place dead, but they're running two trains on SROS!
  7. Why must I constantly be reminded of my once favorite attraction at WDW. Seriously though, that technology was so cool. One of the best effects I've ever experienced on a ride.
  8. Oh man, sorry to be random but a "SAW" themed ride would just be awesome, would actually make for a greta wlakthrough. Why hasn't anyone acted on this yet? It would be hugely popular.
  9. I would suggest Florida, since you ask. Sure you miss out on Tatsu and California Screamin' but you have Tower Of Terror, RNRC, Everest, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, SheiKra, Kumba, etc. etc. to make up for it. Plus there's much less travel between the destinations in Orlando/Tampa than those in SoCal.
  10. Thank god, that crap looked hideous.
  11. Sounds like a business venture, Pete. New England does need another theme park...
  12. I have done this once and thought it was pretty cool (at the NY State Fair in Syracuse) but no more fun than bungee jumping, way more room to fall and just as many unsafe feelings/doubts.
  13. Mammouth Railroad sounds pretty cool, at least it hasn't been done yet. Yay for new mine trains!
  14. Would it be nearly as insulting to have it themed to Italian culture and call it Tonyland? I being Italian, think it would certainly not be. It's just a name, not off color at all.
  15. Wow, that looks like it came out pretty good. I'm doing a haunt myself this year. Wish I had more people to help me out with it!
  16. While I hear you out on the first two comments, I definately agree with the last one. It would be perfect if DAK got a Journey to the Center Of The Earth type ride, considering the theme has a lot to do with all the subterranean critters... Plus it would give the resort yet another "mountain". One can only hope...
  17. I saw one of these on a TV show years back and had NO IDEA they really existed.
  18. If you look at the construction walls at USJ they have "sparkly twinkly stars" all over it, between that and the purplish colored steel I would say it has a good chance of carrying that theme. I don't really see what else they could theme it to.
  19. So... have you decided on what you're going to call it or what?
  20. I agree Asylum of Horror sucks, especially when compared to Factory Of Terror. The only thing that made Asylum even remotely "scary" was that they typically make visitors go through the maze one at a time, alone. My ex g/f just wouldn't go through alone so therefore I didn't really get to experience what it was meant to be... Pete, have you done Factory of Terror this year yet? I want to see if it's any different before I shell out the 15 bucks. It's too bad about Spookyworld, I really liked that place too (both locations!) Did you know last year the scareactors basically moved the show to Edaville Railroad in Carver, Mass. as the owner passed away and they wanted to continue. They called the event "Evilville" and I guess they aren't doing it this year considering there's only a week left till Halloween.
  21. I've been following this project for a while, good to finally see some steel arrive. Can't wait to see the prototype trains.
  22. Seems about on par with SFNE's Frightfest, which doesn't say much... I like how they change the name of Iron Wolf though, that's pretty neat.
  23. Apparently this new B&M has a name or at least a theme. According to Screamscape the name is "Hollywood Dream: The Ride".
