  1. www.wikipedia.org - I love reading/learning about random things www.youtube.com - A perfect time killer (plus my coaster videos )
  2. ^ really? I was thinking the complete opposite. I thought Jurassic Pack was mind-blowing when it first came out. Jaws I never really got into or was interested in. (maybe cause its an older film)
  3. Its Goliath. 'nuff said.
  4. About 3 months ago. I used to play damn near everyday, but i might be losing interest. When was the last time you ate a pepperoni and mushroom pizza?
  5. I dont think I ever gave myself a formal introduction.. Jamaal's the name..26 years old....Born in Miami, but currently lives in Tallahassee. I always liked going to theme parks since I was little, but never expressed my love for them until recently. So you can say I'm a newbie enthusiast...lol. I been following this site for a while now (almost 2 years) and didnt start posting on here until about a month or so ago. Definately into themepark type games (RCT, NoLimits) and like to create coasters and parks. Actually RCT1 was the game that brought out the coaster fiend in me. As fars as parks I've only been to FL and GA parks but hopefully that will change in the future...It'll be cool to meet other TPR members on some of my journeys, too.
  6. 'Twister' One of my favorite disaster flicks
  7. Besides Florida (where i stay) I've been to: Georgia Alabama Mississippi Louisiana Tennessee Ohio Indiana North Carolina South Carolina Passed through: Kentucky
  8. Gotta love a quarter pounder with cheese, no onions.... :
  9. I cant STAND my co-workers! It sucks when you have to see thier asses on a daily basis, but have to put up with their antics. Every conversation I have it seems like my side is never valid and they always put logic into almost everything that they talk about. The fact that they're all programmers dont make it any better. I definately feel like 'outside the box' which I can care less, cause they're all lame in my eyes. (excluding myself, of course )
  10. oh yeah! cant forget about Corona's as well. They're pretty good...but I'm sure noone know's about 211's. They dont taste all that great, but that's one of the few beers that can get u pretty messed up at such an affordible price..lol....
  11. I'm not that much of a drinker, but when I do, Heineken and Budweiser are my choices. . .
  12. eh, 5/10....guess theres a lot more I need to learn!
  13. Well you can say I'm definately not a smoker of cigarettes..can't stand them and I hate the smell..I think the second-hand smoke is a lot worse than first-hand...Although I don't mind the "other" types once in a while...
  14. no. Do you have a BA/MS degree?
  15. i love these type of TR's. Great pictures even though I'm sure they cant really do too much justice compared to actually being there...looks real breath-taking.
  16. yeah i agree...nothing BUT hills..i would love to ride at if I'm ever in the area. Now back to my favs: As far as steel, Goliath @ Six Flags over Georiga has been my only out-and-back... but as far as wood, I like Great American Scream Machine (SFoG), but my favorite is Dania Beach Hurricane (Boomers, Dania Beach, FL), which is actually a double out-and-back....
  17. Hmmm lets see: Kumba - 1993 Busch Gardens Tampa Goliath- 2006 Six Flags over Georiga yup that's about it.... *edit* oh yeah! I almost forgot about the Montu! - 1996 Busch Gardens Tampa
  18. I'm kinda both, but more on the coaster side. I like theme parks because they (supposedly) make you feel like you're somewhere else, but I like their coasters a little bit more. Theming on a coaster to me is more a bonus to me than a nessicity. So in the end, I'm a coasterfan.
  19. I live in a state FULL of B&M's....never rode on an Intamin before, therefore I can't say what is better. I know one thing. When I ride on a B&M I never have to worry about rough parts ,headbanging, or a coaster malfunctioning....B&M is what you considered thrilling with 'safety' in mind...gotta love em .
  20. Yeah that look a little TOO overwhelming and a little unrealistic for me...I would be exhuasted by the 5th day if I was always on the go..You need to have designate some days to just relaxing. I would take out a lot of those parks, too. You have a lifetime to go to all the parks you want to.. Dont do an overkill...its great that you're planning this early in advance, though. Another thing...invest in a car, too. It'll minimise what mode of transportation you're using, instead of flying to one place, and taking a train to another place, etc. And if you can try to make your trip plan a circular pattern from the start so when you go to your last park, you wont be that far from home...just some tips for you to consider....
  21. My top ten includes(I know its B&M heavy, but look where I stay!): 1. Goliath (SFoG)- It's pretty obvious on my avitar! The best ride, EVER (for me, at least) 2. Dania Beach Hurricane (Boomers)- A great little woodie in Daina Beach, FL 3. Montu (BGT)- Love the elements and scenary on this ride (Also I lost my cell phone on this ride!) 4. Sheikra (BGT)- scary-ass first drop...I also love its towering presence. 5. Kumba (BGT) - A classic. You can't NOT like this ride. 6. Incredible Hulk (IOA)- Like the launched lift into the inversion. The whole ride is great. 7. Deja Vu (SFoG)- A very underrated ride (well at least in my eyes). Even though it has poor capacity, it makes up for delivering a awesome ride. 8. Georiga Scorcher (SFoG) - For a standup, very smooth and intense. Like the compact design. 9. Gwazi (BGT) - My first wooden dueling(when it wants to) coaster. I dont understand how a lot of people thinks it's real rough. This is, for the most part, a pretty smooth ride for me last year. (We'll see again come around November) 10. Cheetah (Wild Adventures)- The coaster that broke my wooden-coaster-virginity. Its pretty rough, but definately still enjoyed it.
  22. dark blue jeans, a yellow polo shirt, sneakers and a id card around my neck....gotta love comfortable work attire..
  23. Being that I'm a reborn coaster enthusiast (last year was the first year I EVER rode a woodie...now I'm love them!) I didnt get into any of the other coaster sites in the past. YouTube kinda got the me going with the different videos people post, even though technically its not a coaster-specific site. Theme Park Review has the honor of being my first REAL coaster site(besides RCDB.com). I've been following this site for a couple of years now and just recently started to become active in the forums. . .
  24. Man my roommates pissed me off last night! I'm trying to get some good rest for tommorow, and they KNOW how I am about noise at a certain hour and I dont play when I need my sleep (expect on days i dont work).I'm usually knocked out by 12-12:30am........midnight came and they start playing cards. I wouldnt have mind if they wasnt so damn loud....12:30 came. they still loud and I'm still up. 1:00..still up 1:30...still up.. 2:00 still up! At this point I had to let them know they were trippin' with the noise and they need to finish up their game NOW. 2:30..finally went to sleep, but definately felt the lack of rest when i woke up. Thank goodness I move into my own place in less than a month!
  25. that was longest non-coaster TR I've read.....but very nice job presenting it! Being completely oblivious to pro stock motorcycle racing(never knew it existed), I thourougly enjoyed your story. Peggy seemed like a real nice person (she's not that bad to look at, either) and it seemed like you and Jen had a blast!
