  1. Hmm..I never seen an Ikea store. I've seen it metioned on this site before, but I just never knew what the hell it actually is.....is it like a Walmart or something? (And just because YALL know about it doesnt mean everyone else does. I havent even seen a commercial of it!)
  2. Cool. I remember that coaster type back when I was playing RCT3, thinking it was real badly designed eurofighter. Who knew its a real coaster like that? But I don't think I want to get on that anytime soon...
  3. Fortunately these are the only Boomerang/SLC coaster I've ever ridden. Hangman was a little bumpy but nowhere near rough. Boomerang was smooth going fowards and backward...guess I lucked out!
  4. Sup fellas, hope you enjoy as this is my first photo TR I left around sometime in the afternoon, and for the first half of the trip made good timing. I love traveling, so just the drive was nice.....that was until I got mislead by googlemaps. I'm usually real good at reading directions, but today my inner compass was broke cause I was definately lost. The directions I had was not following where I was at. To make matter worse, I get caught up at a railroad stop wasting even more time and good picture-taking sunlight. Very frustrating moment. Surprisingly, the train was much shorter than expected. But being the intelligent fella that I am, I just took an alternate route and ended up being there a little over an hour late. So I finally make it to the park (by this time the sun was setting) Too bad all the coasters(with the obvious exception to Boomerang) was running one train. At least the park was pretty clean for the most part and I like the adventure music once you enter the park. It was fairly crowded, but mostly for their 'Phobia' event they had running. There were houses scattered throughout the park with extremely long lines. Lucky for me I couldn't say the same for the coaster lines. I first headed to Boomerang, but it seemed like they were testing or something, so I headed to Cheetah. My last ride on Cheetah was pretty fun, if a little rough. I decided to see how good or bad this ride has got. It was about a 20 min wait only because of the one train and by the time I got closer to the front, they decided they need to test the ride......3 times in a row. That was pretty annoying. Any who, I finally got my ride on the back row. The first drop is incredible! I love how you get flung into the drop. The rest of the ride was good, although a little rough, but rough on a woodie = fun to me...Overall the coaster has a great layout with two great drops. Those low turns closer to the end were pretty good too. After cheetah I decided to go straight to Hangman. This ride has to be the most popular cause I had the longest wait on this ride. Had they ran two trains, the lines would be going a lot faster. I finally got my turn after a nice 25-30 wait, I opted for the back row. Very nice drop and the inversions were very fun. I did notice the ride was a little bumpy, but NOT rough. You got some head banging action, but mostly since the restraints are so close to your head. At least they were cushy enough to not give me a headache. I was done with that, so now I decided to go by the Swamp Thing area to see if it was running....nope it was closed so I went back to Boomerang to see if that was up and running...yup it was so I got in line in you-know-where by this point..the back row. I liked the drop and the transitions through the inversions were not rough at all. Hella fun, actually. Going backwards however, was VERY fun. You FLY through that loop and you encounter a lot of forces there. That had to be my favorite part of the ride. Done with the the major 3 rides, I decided to do a second rotation and go back on Cheetah, this time in the middle row. Usually on most coasters, the middle row is the safest and smoothest. Not on Cheetah. This had to be the ROUGHEST ride I have ever encountered. There was so much shuffling that I damn near had a headache. I mean it was real bad. At this point I was real confused......The back row ride was rough, but great. This middle row ride was rough, but bad. I told myself I would never ride this again...yeah right. I went right back to the back row to confirm if it was just a fluke I had a good ride. Luckily it wasn't and the back was surprisingly more tolerable than the middle. My final ride on Cheetah was the front which was not as rough as the middle, but not as fun as the back , but still fun it its own right. At this point the sun is all the way down and the sky is dark. I wanted to relax a little bit and see what else they have at WA. There was this ride called airiel flight, I think. From the ground it doesn't look like you go that high, but when you're on it, you're going a lot higher than you originally thought. It was a very relaxing ride, even though my fear of height kicked in, I still manged to enjoy myself and take a break from the coasters. Walking away from the big coasters, I walked around and saw this little coaster called Bug Out. Never been on it so I decided to give it a go. This is my first credited mouse coaster so I wasn't sure what to expect. I did realize that they definitely designed this with kids in mind. It was a little compact to get on the ride, but I manged to squeeze in. It was a cool ride. It felt like you're about to go over the end, but at the last minute you hit a sharp turn. And man those turns were sharp. I really had to brace myself. Overall it was a nice mouse ride with fun, not scary drops and good laterals. Around this point I was getting tired so I went and got front row rides on Boomerang and Hangman. The front ride was good, but not as good as a back ride. Same for Hangman, even though riding front row in the dark was HELLA fun To end, I had and overall good time at Wild Adventures. I can't wait to see what the new owners will do to this park. Until then I don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon. (Like when I said I'll never ride Cheetah again ) Most of the photos were taken while the sun was going down. Hope you like! And I end with an artsy photo of the Ariel Flight ride....hope you enjoy the TR! This mess of track is Bug Out. A nice fun-filled family mouse coster Extreme close up! Boomerang from afar... This is when they were doing a test run for the millionth time...at this point I was getting annoyed eh...too bad you're not open. Side loop goodness Bunch of happy riders.....for the most part Lifthill in the sunset... Hangman's signature shot... Cheetah...this ride would be so much better if they better trains and a good retracking.... Here's a lake side view...on the other side is a closed Swamp Thing ...until i got lost thanks to googlemaps. On top of that, this train didn't make matters any better. At least the train wasn't that long. The day started out pretty well...
  5. Yeah I was a little confused reading it at first....When I saw the picture with the kid I thought, "wow this kid speaks really well!",then I put it all together and realized what was up... Loved the approach you took on this TR, and nice pictures.

  7. I have a pic of Kumba while waiting in line last Nov. The perfect shot
  8. Yeah I like the old-time feel in your pictures. It had a nostalgic feeling....especially that Phoenix pic, probably my favortie one. Nice PTR!
  9. I would have to say Superman: UF at SFOG. The ride broke down I think twice while I was waiting in line, making the wait significantly longer. And I think Batman:TR broke down when I was in that line as well....but besides that, those are the only breakdowns I encountered with a B&M coaster
  10. Okay at first, I was pretty annoyed at how you(yes you, Wes) would just lock certain topics cause they were 'too vauge' for your understanding, but going back and looking at the ones you locked vs the ones that aren't locked, I do see your point. My thing is I dont think the people who post them dont intentionally mean to post something pointless, as this IS a random thread. Technically we can talk about ANYTHING, right? I mean whats your definition of pointless anyways?
  11. 1. Montu 2. Batman: The Ride (SFOG) 3. Dueling Dragons: Fire 4. Dueling Dragons: Ice 5. ??? (only been on 4)
  12. ^ I was thinking the same thing...its a TR not a PTR......But for a TR as long as this, a photo or two would help to take a break from reading all that text. But seriously its a very well written TR and it seemed like you had a blast. I would just try to make it a few paragraphs shorter....
  13. ^ , ^^ Ditto to both. Yeah, yeah, its a batman clone, but if theres any coaster that deserved to be cloned, it might as well be a good one! It just seems like just the enthusiasts that are complaining about the fact that theres two more in the same state. The General Public probably wont even notice a difference to really care about that. So good move for SFFT.
  14. I got one on Kumba waaaaaaay back in 1993 (middle school years)
  15. I blame this site for introducing the "credit" concept to me.. Before, I would just ride a coaster cause I want, to, not really for the sake of a credit. But now, I'm in plotting and planning on future credits, but I dont think I would be a credit whore to try and ride EVERY thing thats considered a coaster
  16. OMG Shreika...that was the longest sensation I ever felt on a rollercoaster. Felt like my stomach was never gonna stop dropping...
  17. Hmmm lets see: SFOG "" "" "" .....yup that about it...(really two parks if you count Boomers )
  18. I dont why, but I get excited when I hear a new woodie being built, even if it's on the other side of the world. I have YET to ride a millineum flyers GCI or a GG coaster and I cant wait till i get a chance to ride one. Guess i'll have to add SFSTL on list of parks to visit in the future ...
  19. Well thanks goodness I got my one DejaVu credit already. I'm impressed with the direction SFOG is going with the new kiddie area. Losing DejaVu is seriously not gonna hurt their coaster count at all....I'm really beginning to see Six Flags in different light, now..its like Cedar Fair is beginning to become the new 'six flags'.....
  20. Not a big fan of your captions, but I liked the honestly and the pictures in your review. You make it ok for someone to not like a ride that is liked by the masses....... ^^ and as for the lapbar, i highly doubt that Maverick would EVER have lapbars the way that ride flips you around...
  21. Oooh no....I know its rough, but Cheetah is a pretty good woodie (Plus its the first woodie I ever rode). They just neeed a good maintence job (probably some retracking) and it'll be ok. I'm excited that Herchend ending up getting Wild Adventures. I wonder how many changes is gonna happen. I never been to a Herchend park, but from what I seen in TRs and websites they know what the hell they're doing...
  22. I'm not sure how many people know about this ride, but it's called a KamiKaze (mostly seen in fair and carnivals) Its like two hammers that swing opposite each other and eventually flip you upside down (sometimes hang you upside down). That, along with the traditional swings, and the orbiter are my favorite flats...
  23. ^^ Or it could be that people aren't ready to accept that homosexuality is basically a normal lifestyle. We are so caught up in the whole "I anit no punk, I aint with that gay s#@$" mentality where in reality the ones you consider super straight are ones thats 'punking' around...espcecially black people (and this is coming from experience)...we are probably the most homophobic race out there, but there are SO many dudes that are on the 'DL' for fear of losing respect from their family/friends...If people just realize that being gay is no worse than being straight. Sure we got flaming queens, and feminine dudes, but they got pompus jerks, macho assholes and hypricrits , so we're pretty much balanced... But if you really think about it, what would happen if EVERYONE was straight? The world would be a lot more crowded than it is. We help control the population, so techinally we play a bigger role on this planet than you think...

  25. ^ I was definately one of those types that didn't get the whole hype at first. I even didn't like it when I first bought it. I guess it got the best of me the more I played. It real easy to get addiceted, if you aint got nothing else to do..Luckly most of my time is at the job, so I dont play it as much as I would like. My highest character is a 43 Shaman in the Exodar server, so that lets you know I JUST got started about a couple of months ago.
