  1. I agree that it's not always wise to tell someone that you're gay or whatever unless it's completely and utterly necessary. I'm straight, but once upon a time I thought I was gay. Oh my it was such a confusing time for me. Some things happened that convinced me that I was either Bi or Gay, but I soon discovered that I don't look at guys the way I do at girls. That was like 4 years ago I think that I figured out that I was straight and if it wasn't for my best friend helping me understand then I'd probably still be confused.
  2. My favorite part of the photo tr! If every photo tr had a little bit of Steelers in it it would make it 100% better. Nice Busch Gardens Europe pictures btw...
  3. ^ You mean B&M? Btw, if you put trims on a coaster you are in-sense modifying it from its' original design, so wouldn't that mean that the track would also have to be modified? Cedar Fair should have modified Hercules to where the coaster train wouldn't seem like it was going to roll back or rattle itself to pieces.
  4. ^ I call those Summers/Dinn coasters "Bottom Line" coasters. The parks that have them only care about how much money is being spent and made, so when the maintenance surpasses the amount of money or the amount of riders they start to baby their coasters with brakes so they don't have to spend so much on maintenance. The sad truth...
  5. I've only ridden one rapids ride and that's the one at Kennywood. Raging Rapids is a pretty cool rapids ride that follows the contour of the cliff. The lift hill is unique because it goes under the lift hill of the Thunderbolt.
  6. I went to a 3 Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Seether concert yesterday. It was a fantastic show. I love Breaking Benjamin.... Edit: 400th post! Breaking Benjamin Three Days Grace Seether
  7. The trims on the Big Bad Wolf and Lochness Monster at BGE are a little unnecessary, but what do I know?
  8. I always thought that the pre-drop was there to stop the train if the train ahead of it didn't make it to the next set of brakes; you know, instead of having the train stopping on the lift hill causing wear and tear to the trains and lift hill. I don't know, maybe someone should mail B&M and ask them about it.
  9. Some of you might not agree with me, but I hope they don't put anything there! My point is that the area seemed a little dreary for some reason (like walking down a dark alley), so I'd be pleased if they just put in a garden to even everything out.
  10. I've never been to Japan, but I was wondering if it's easy for someone who speaks English to get around? Haha, I might have to bring my friend Shawna who's majoring in Japanese. It looks like a great place to visit.
  11. I went up to Presque Isle last Saturday (it was beautiful) and I stopped by the Tom Ridge Weather Center and I took some pictures while I was there. Some nice shots of the RF2 construction site. Shots from the Tom Ridge Weather Center tower. Shots of the Tom Ridge Weather Center. Some nice shots of Beach 10.
  12. Of course, you only have to be 3 feet tall to ride the Jack Rabbit I'm trying to figure out what the height requirement for the Phantom was before it was modified. It's 48" now, so I imagine it was at least 52" when it was the Steel Phantom.
  13. ^^^^ That's a very good point. Loops cause the height restriction to be jacked up. The Steel Phantom; for example, had its' loops removed and the height restriction came down. Come to think of it the Thunderbolt has a higher height restriction (52in) than the Phantom (48in). Go figure...
  14. The trains look like something that Giovanola would design. I guess the idea behind them is a better view? Atleast the name doesn't have Superman or Goliath in it.
  15. Wow you've shown the best pictures of Kennywood yet! I'm glad that you enjoyed the park.
  16. This might be the must useless post ever on TPR. Congrats to you. Was that comment really necessary? Yes, I think it is necessary to point out to members when they make an unnecessary post. It is one thing to see something that exists and point out that it looks great. It is quite another to speculate how great something will look when it is complete. Commenting on how sketches and designs makes sense but saying an uncompleted rides will look great is USELESS. For the record, I'm looking forward to riding Ravine Flyer II but will not speculate on the greatness or look of the ride until I ride it. I'm not one for argueing because it goes nowhere, but I must correct something. Most of us who've been keeping a watchful eye on this project already know what it's going to look like when it's done because a 3D rendering was already posted in another topic related to this coaster. Hence the guy saying it will look even better in real life.
  17. ^^ Cranberry? You could of just made a right onto 376 after going through Swissvale and gotten on the Turnpike at the Greensburg Interchange.
  18. Don't you love it. It's really cool to see that on a hyper coaster the last half is designed like a mine train. I'd love to see another hyper at Kennywood, they're so much fun.
  19. That's cool that the TPR crew liked the park. Someday I'll be making a So Cal trip and I'll see to it that I'll stop by KBF and SFMM.
  20. Today I went to Kennywood to help out the event by being a ride judge for the Xtreme Team (aka Jeff and Tina). Please forgive me for the lack of typed descriptions and whatnot because I'm very tired. Here are some pictures though... I end this with a dreamy view from the Tbolt station. Thunderbolt station was pretty empty by the end of the night. The Coaster Crew! Blurred, but not too bad for a camera phone. Phantom caught in action! Lost Kennywood fountain! Bunny wabbit! Tried to get all the Tbolt in one shot. The raffle tickets were drawned and a lucky kid walked away with a signed Pittsburgh Steelers Football. The sky looked alot like this for most of the day. Loading times on the Racer weren't as fast as the Jackrabbit's times. The crew on the Racer. My amazingly awesome tally taking skills are showned here. Jeff gives the sign that he's doing fine. That's alot of rain. Jackrabbit See what I mean about the chicken? Some helpers... CoastinKatie Jolly Ranchers, compliments of Coaster Crew. First lap on the first coaster! Yeah, this little chicken became our big focus of amusement for the rest of the day for some reason. Test... Clear! Kennywood Crew cleaning the Phantom's train. Tina and Jeff on the Phantom's Revenge station platform waiting for it to open.
  21. This park is suffering a cruel an unusual life/death. I swear 50 years from now they're still going to be figuring out if they can open the park or not. I want the park to be privately owned again. Perhaps a wealthy person would step up and buy the park, but what can we do?
  22. I had mine last spring mainly because it was really cold out and we had no choice but to cuddle.
  23. ^ I saw it on the security guard booth as you drive into the park. Maybe I read it wrong, but I could of sworn that I read "Hotel" and "Open" on the sign. Whatever though, it might have been closed too...
  24. I thought pretty sure that the hotel was open (I saw a sign saying that it was), but the Beach Club definately wasn't open; just the beach next to it was open. ^ Ha, nice. Were you there today or do you only go there once in awhile?
  25. My mom, dad, and I went to Geneva, Ohio this weekend for a little vacation. We stayed at the Lodge At Geneva On The Lake on the shores of lake Erie. The town is kind of like Coney Island; in that I mean there are tons of vendors, arcades, and food stands all over the place. I must make mention of Eddie's Hotdog place because they seriously have the best hotdogs. Madsen's Donuts is also a great place, they make some of the best donuts around. Now for the pictures... Me taking a break and watching Dirty Jobs... Now these are pictures of us crossing Pymatuning... Okay, so on the way back we stopped by Conneaut Lake Park since it was so nice out and we wanted to see how the park was doing "healthwise." The Hotel was open and the beach at the Beach Club was also open... Only if kidcoaster was there... Here's the lift hill for the Blue Streak through the trees... Thanks for viewing guys, I hope Conneaut Lake Park can get itself back together sometime soon.
