  1. Ah great! The coaster is looking pretty sweet (a little different from that earlier drawing). This will probably be my first Gravity Group coaster credit ever!
  2. ^ Do anything to get the Bluestreak up and running, right? Hey I agree, I would like to have the coaster run before anything else, but I actually like the hotel's dining room. It always gave a nice atmosphere when you're tired from walking around all day. Anyway, I remember Conneaut losing a whole bunch of money when their Beach Club was robbed of all of their liquor (Derek? ) a couple of years ago. I'm just saying that they're losing money in other places too...
  3. ^^ Why would you know this? Anyway, there is no alcohol permitted inside the park, but (like the pimp above me just said) there are tons of beer distributors in Pennsylvania. ^ Yes there is a Rock Bottom, but I recommend going to Sandcastle which is owned by Kennywood and is down the road from Kennywood. They have a boardwalk and a bar.
  4. Three days in a row at Hershey; I wish I could experience that. I loved the pictures Derek, you have a future in this business.
  5. ^ I'm glad that nobody got hurt. I hope the park can pick itself up again this season. I would like to visit Conneaut again this summer...
  6. ^ I like the looks of that head chopper there. That tree might do too good of a job of scaring people.
  7. I didn't like the Flying Rug too much, but I do miss the Bayern Kurve and Swing Around. Come back...
  8. Reminded me of Boondock Saints there for a second. It sounds like I missed another great opportunity to meet Robb and Elissa, but this was finals week and I had to stay and "study."
  9. Stifler - "Sh*t, I got a frosted a** crack. Hey Finch, do you want this here or for go?" Finch - "A witty saying proves nothing; Voltaire." Stifler - "Suck my d*ck; Ron Jeremy."
  10. Three years ago I peaked at 240lbs... once I saw that I officially declared that I would never reach 250lbs. In doing so I began to work out. Running became my ultimate workout program and I can thank it all to the Elliptical where I would be on it for about an hour a day and loose around 1200 calories. At the same time I'd given up soda or any carbonated beverage because I was drinking nothing else at the time. I dropped my weight down to about 200lbs last year looked the best that I have ever looked. Now that I'm in college, I've gained some of my weight back, but I do find time to go work out at the tiny weight room that's on campus and my weight varies between 228 and 230lbs. That might sound like a lot of weight, but remember that I'm 6' 3", so in a way I'm in pretty good shape for being college, but I'm still overweight, so I have to keep working out if I want to keep it down. Here, I'll post some pics... last xmas, I'm on the right... lake erie last summer at my graduation last year
  11. Anyone remember Crazytown? Yeah, Butterfly was pretty annoying... Nine Inch Nails songs also get very annoying.
  12. I'm looking forward to another season at Conneaut. I just hope it won't have to rely on "life support" forever...
  13. Haha, sarcasm isn't needed, I get it, but I was saying that I'm used to seeing things like rides and such being exchanged by parks under the same name or affiliation.
  14. That's kind of odd since Hershey and LC have no affiliation. Whatever though...
  15. This shooting hit me hard. I knew a lot of kids from high school who went to VT and I can only imagine the horror that they went through. To be honest, this was worse than 9/11 for me...
  16. ^ Another thing that makes it worthwhile is that they don't have to construct a new station or lift hill and motor. A lot of the capital investment is already in place.
  17. ^ Nothing will ever beat this on-ride photo...
  18. I almost forgot about this coaster. Pretty cool stuff...
  19. Maybe you should send the letter and see what happens, but don't send it to the Cedar Fair Corporation. Send it to the Manager of Canada's Wonderland because if anyone is going to have an impact on the decision making at Cedar Fair it's them because they probably live in Canada and want to see a new coaster or major attraction as badly as you do. Don't be afraid to send parks letters and call them. They're all ears and if they're not, they're idiots.
  20. I'm so confused on the size because I heard a while back that Elitch's old owners moved the park from a previous spot in Denver (where the original Mister Twister existed) to the present day spot. My question is why did they move to such a cramped up piece of property?
  21. It seems like Europa is a model for some park builders and operators because I know that Kennywood's Jerome Gibas went to Europa to scope it out. It had to do with something about a B&M hyper in the future... I can only hope though.
  22. Maybe they should go with fixed lap bars. You know, like the old days...
  23. Hopefully it doesn't snow when you're there. Right now there's snow on the ground and it's like 20 degrees...
