I did a search, and I could not see this discussed on the forum. In the November issue of Parkworld Magazine Vekoma made the announcement that they have been selected as the partner to RMC. RMC coasters have only been available for the North American market so far, but that will now change. This is great news, and I'm very interested in this. Vekoma sure knows how to construct wooden coasters, but they aren't the greatest. Hopefully this means we will see some new awesome RMC creations in Europe soon!

One thing I really like with Storm is the use of only two supports for the lift. It's strange though, as the track doesn't look that much more beefed up than Intamin's square track. -

You are correct sir! You can see them testing the Tornado lights here: Youtube It's pretty dope looking. -

No, not yet. The park is scheduled to open in June, so there might be some time before we see it go up. -

More pictures are up on Parkz.com.au The main sign Entrance Park map. Since the orignial fly-over the hydraulic surf pool as well as the extreme river has been canned. Signs Again Resturant Again Surf club People Massive sky-coaster Again The pull-up towers Australian version of the flow rider, looks really interesting in videos Lazy river The entry lagoon to the river has a sand beach, impressive! The wave pool that replaced the dual surf/family wave pool It looks rather boring, compared to pools like the ones at Whitewater World & Siam Park. It's not the big surf pool, but it's still really big In fact, for a pneumatic pool,it's huge More wave pool Whitewater West tower 1 2-person Rattler Pipeline Runout lanes Constrictor and Pipeline Looks cool More lazy river Awesome looking Aqualoops Splash! Here's the parks most interesting slide IMO Proslide said they were going to build racers like these, but looks like Whitewater got first Looks awesome! Can't wait until the day I get to try this one out Brake lanes Tornado complex Awesome photo! Love the colors Tornado Wave, one of the slides in the world I'm most interested in trying Here's the other family slide complex It has a Mammoth, a Mammoth Turbo (which is said to be the best slide in the park) and a behemoth Bowl 40 Alley Love the look of this tower Just the fact that this park has 6 Proslide family rides is reason enough for a visit Most reviews says that people are a bit unimpressed with the bowl slide All the photos are from http://www.parkz.com.au -
Europa Park Discussion Thread
_koppen replied to Ultracoasters's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Hershey park had 4 manufacturers present them proposals for the 2012 coaster project, that Skyrush won. Mack's proposal was a really big inverted ride with inversions and spinning cars built around the observation tower. Hersey was really interested in it, but turned it down because they didn't wanted to be the ones building the prototype (but didn't mind being second). I actually think a 150 feet-ish Mack inverted ride with inversions (and non spinning trains) would be a perfect choice for Europa Park's next coaster, when the water park is done. Blue Fire is the park's most thrilling ride, and it has been a huge success with millions of riders every season. They have now built Woodan and Arthur since it was built, catering to the family and family-thrill classes, so I think it's time for another thrill coaster next time. Imagine riding a inverted ride with lap bars only that does inversions and is also perfectly smooth! -
Flat-tracked inversions look so irritating.

I don't think it look bad, but I have a similar problem. I really hate when rides switch between spineless track to triangle track. I just really hate the look of it. I have nothing against spineless track, when it's on it's own. Vicky The Ride and Kanonen are good example of this. I have no problem with Square track going to traingle track. I also hate, on Premier and Maurer rides, the look of a coaster with both single and double spine track. Oh, and yes, I allready know that I'm weird, so no need to tell me Source Source Source Source -

That looks awesome! I really like the look of that castle. It's nice how they have not done a "Disney" style castle, with a big tower in the middle, like all other theme park castles. -

This park is having a pretty bumpy start. Well not start, but "before the start" as their website have been plagued with problems, and lot's of shitstorms on their Facebook (as well as the "just stupid" people complaining about prices). The park itself looks awesome, and seems to be very well received. These pictures come from the Australian Parkz.com.au forum, and they were take by Julys Aquila, the guy who have made an amazing job of the 40 construction episodes on Youtube. First up is the kid's area, which looks to be the best in the world in terms of children slides, but seems to be lacking actual pools for the toddlers. Spray grounds. Overview. Mini tornado, and mini tube slide. Mini body slides. More spray ground. And more. Lot's of water. Awesome picture! Mini enclosed slide. Mini body slides again. Splash bucket. Mini wide slide. Mini racer. Tornado mini and tube slide again. Here are two more mini tube slides. It's hard to see, but this is Proslide's first kid's bowl. This really seems to be kid's heaven with all that Proslide awesomeness! It really puzzles me however, that they claim to have built the world's biggest water park, and there is no play structure in the place. Surely a water park of this magnitude should feature one of those gigantic play structures IMO. All the photos from Parkz.com.au -

Don't set yourself up for disappointment! It's much better to be surprised. I expect this ride to be same in intensity as the other wing riders, only with a much more interesting layout, as well as really good interaction with the surrounding elements. -

Not really feeling the location. Also the budget for the park is way to low. In order to make the Viking theme interesting it really need to be themed over top. I don't see that happen for that kind of money. It would be awesome if they pulled it of, that area of Scandinavia really need some more theme park attention.
