  1. Yeah, how do you do that? Every time I try it, it doesn't work
  2. ^ A second train can easily be added to a Stingray, if desired.
  3. I would love to see a Full Throttle II, with a more extended layout. Something like Sky Rocket and Superman would be just as awesome as well!
  4. Really looking forward to your photos, as usual. Hopefully I will get another chance. And I also hope that there will be some more track put up before Tuesday, so you will get more some eye candy to enjoy!
  5. Here's a flyover, and it's looking great! Unfortunately they scrapped the surf pool, and settled for a big pneumatic driven one. Expect waves to be around 4-5 feet instead of 10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lh7xfv7T4T4
  6. It seems a bit unrealistic to anticipate 4,5 million visitors by 2020.
  7. This looks like a really cool project! I will enjoy following this, and can't wait for vertical construction to start.
  8. Seems to be a really good solid ride. Not bad for a first big scale coaster. The airtime hill in there seems wicked!
  9. Looks like there won't be a construction tour for me Oh well, here's to hoping there will be another one.
  10. ^I just pictured topless women riding Blue Fire, what an awesome sight that would be!
  11. Red Bull Simply Cola. Best coke in the world!
  12. Oh shitballs! I NEED to find a way to participate in that!
  13. It now says on their website that it will be available in November. It used to say October, but that was probably a bit optimistic. The trains was on the track when the last pictures was taken, 1,5 months ago, so I would assume that testing has been done, and that the ride is close to opening.
  14. That is very sad indeed, great looking castle. Although, the location of the castle would be perfect for a Star Flyer!
  15. I can't really answer that, since I have not been on Storm, only Blue Fire, but I seriously doubt that they are close to the Megalite's in airtime and intensity.
  16. Well I LOVE Krake, so I'm excited for this. I hope it will have the same splash right after the drop, before the Immelmann. It would also be cool to see B&M add a corkscrew into the mix. Plus just make it longer with a helix or so. Hopefully it will receive some really good theming, but if they follow what they did with Raptor, then it won't disappoint.
  17. Really cool list! The only flaw I can find is that the Intamin hydraulic launch coasters lists different launch times. For an example Zaturn has the same launch as Stealth, only that Thorpe Park uses the time it takes for the train to reach the top speed (Which is the correct way, in my opinion) while Space World uses the time it takes for the train to clear the launch (this includes the brake run for the catch car, which is not a part of the acceleration). Same thing for Dragsteer and Kingda Ka. Stealth wasn't "modified" in 2007 to have a better launch, it was only the marketing team who found out that the ride only launched for the first 1,9 seconds of the launch, the rest is used to slow down the catch car, so they used it in their favor.
  18. I would guess that the start will be very similar to the standard model, in that it will go down the first drop, then up and around 180 degrees, then comes the outward banked turn, followed by the regular inside banked turn into the dive loop. I'm only guessing though.
  19. The park usually opens in the last days of March, and I'm assuming it will be open right away.
  20. Judging by this picture, it seems like it will be similar to Storm in the layout. Lift hill straight out of the station, and then first drop down into the curve. Since they are still working on the footers it is a bit early to say if the rest of the layout also will follow Storm or not. Rumor says that this is the track for Nigloland. Source Source
  21. Awesome photos, and a nice review!
  22. Well, I'm not a pneumatic air launch specialist, but I'm sure S&S is since they've made hundreds of launch towers and launching coasters. If they couldn't do it, I doubt anyone else could. 135 mph could've been one of those "pushing the limits of engineering" type of deals. I'm sure he meant that the other manufacturer would scrap the pneumatic launch, and build their own one. Kind of funny how the S&S guy said last IAAPA that he knew they could break the speed record.
