What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
easytoremember replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I also rode goliath two hours ago for the last day of the season. Isn't that wierd? -
Worst B&M is close between Iron wolf and SUF, which are both at SFGAM. Iron wolf was rough as anything when I rode it this summer and Superman Ultimate Flight was just boring as anything.(I live near sfog which has the better SUF(still not very good though). The one at great america has no good close to the ground swoops and vibrates a lot.) The worst intamin I have been on was Vertical Velocity. It is not a bad ride at all, I just have only been on three other intamins, and two of them are flat out amazing. The worst GCII I have been on was Gwazi-Tiger

Who needs a coaster for 2007

Definatly IOA. Nothing new since they opened. They could use a big attraction for the jarassic park area. Possibly a custom B&M flyer -
2006 Coaster Season Stats
easytoremember replied to DerekRx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This has been my best year. I have ridden 60 new coasters which more than doubles my coaster count from 51 to 111. I have been to 8 new parks. My most memorable experiences of the year were being on the first public ride of goliath, Spring Fling at SFOG, and my midwest trip to Holiday world, SFGAM, Mt. Olympus, timber falls, and beech bend. -

Do they have to like tie your hands or somethig? Because im sure not every single person would be able to keep their hands perfectly straight up. Also what if you bend your leg?

I have seen my old Elementary School Removed All monkey bars, swings, and the little tiny glider they had. Its just really sad that kids do not get to have fun anymore.

I remember when I went during Halloween-Party-thing they were playing "Monster Mash" in a continuous loop it seemed like. Sounds like you had fun despite long lines!

Are there any details anywhere about which parks will have the "Coasters After Dark?" specificaly SFOG. Ya free parking at other parks is good, also the bring a friend to another park. We often go to other parks, but when its a SF park, my parents never come in, because they don't want to pay. 5 bring a friend passes? I'm sure theres one each for mothers day/fathers day, maybe one whenever you want, and the other two are a weekday only the week of june, and a sunday during "Spring Fling." I still ending up using most of them.

Park Size
easytoremember replied to roasted_marshmallow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Do you mean the park is small, or the amount of rides is small? To me, it seemed like one of the biggest and most spread out parks I had been to. The hills also are pretty bad. Holiday world has a weird layout, especially Thanksgiving. You should be able to go from Thangsgiving to the water park without going all the way back around thorugh Halloween. It got me confused a few times when I was there. A lot of people complain about SFOGs hills to Gotham City. They really are not that bad, especially when you are rewarded with Schwartzkopf goodness on the other side. -

Mine would have to go: 1. Montu 2. Top Gun Carowinds 3. DD Fire 4. DD ice 5. Raptor 6.Wicked Twisters 7. Batman TR SFOG 8. Batman TR SFGAM -
I just got back from my very first trip to the carowinds. We left on friday afternoon and got back Sunday afternoon. I spent all day saturday at the park and stayed for a night of Scarowinds. The drive there from Atlanta was horrible. The rushhour traffic at four o'clock on friday was terrible. It took us two and a half hours just to go 60 miles. After we got out of the traffic it was smooth sailing. We got there at about 10:30, which ruined our plans of going to Scarowinds that night since we would only have about an hour once we got there, so we just checked into our hotel and got some sleep. We got up bright and early the next day and got there for opening. We were the first ones to BORG, and got the front row. BORG is a great ride. It totally beats SUF in all departments, accept mabey comfort going up the lift and sitting on the brakes. After BORG, we headed to Top Gun and were happy to find an empty station. We rode it four times, one of which was in the front. Top Gun is a great invert. It is my second favorite, just behind Montu. The first drop it the most fun drop I have ever experienced on a B&M. It is twisting, forceful, and fast. All of the elements are great, especially the first immelman, which provides some nice hangtime. Top Gun places just at number nine of my favorite steel coasters. Next we headed to thunder road to hopefully get our two credits. We were very saddened to find that backwards was closed. No racing woodie credit for us. We settled for forwards, and were fairly disapointed. It was lacking airtime and the thrill factor. Next we headed to the flyers, which already had a fairly long line. We waited for about four cycles and got on. Right away I could tell these were much better than Holiday Worlds flyers. These were only the second flyers I had been on, so I had never gotten them to snap before. By the end of the cycle I was coming close, and I think I got it once, and I kind of freaked out, so I lost all of my momentum. I couldn't get it going again after that. Next we headed to the Rocket Power falling star. I didn't experience the airtime that I heard came with the falling star, so I was a little disapointed with that. After that we went on Vortex. I was expecting alot of pain, but recieved none, which I was thrilled about. The overall ride was ok. It was way better than Iron Wolf, because you didn't get beat to death. Next we went on Ricochet. There was about a ten minute line, but the ride ops were VERY efficient, so it was only about five minutes. It was one of the best wild mice I have been on, and it would have been flat out amazing if it wasn't trimmed. After that we went to Hurler. There was hardly anyone in the station, but the ride ops were very slow, so it ended up being a ten or fifteen minute wait. Hurler was a slightly about average woodie, with slightly above average airtime. Then we went to lunch at wings. It was pretty good. After that we did Carolina Cyclone, which was not painful. Then we did carolina gold rusher, which was not a great mine ride, but had some good theming. Then we did BORG again. Then we went to the Nickoloden area and were denied of riding Hey Arnolds Taxi Chase, eventhough there was nothing saying we could not ride on the signage. Then we did fairly odd coaster which was a good kiddie coaster. By then we had gotten all the credits besides Reptar, super Saturator(which was closed), Thunder Road(Closed), and Hey Arnold. We decided to leave at 4:30 and come back and hopefully pick up atleast the Reptar credit and some more rides on the flyers, Top Gun, and BORG durring Scarowinds. We got back to the park at 7:15 and were dismayed to find that BORG already had a huge line so we headed to the flyers. We were sad to find that the entire Nick area was closed so there would be no flyers or Reptar for us, so we headed to Top Gun. Once again we found an empty station, si we got another six rides. Then we went to thunder rode hoping to get our backwards credit. We were granted our wish. The backwards side was much better than the forwards side. Mabey this was because it was raining, and it was pitch black, but I'm not sure. We rode that three times without a wait in the back car all three times. Then we headed for hurler and drop zone. We rode each once and then headed to BORG. We waited for about 45 minutes then got on. After that it was 10:30 so we went home. Scarowinds was kind of a dissapointment. There wasn't much difference between night and day. There was an EXTREME lack of scare people, and a lack of space with no fog machines. There were about 10-15 scare people in the entire park, and about 50-60 fog machines. I am serious. We didn't do any houses, but they sounded mediocre at best. The carnival themed area was pretty well done, and the tunnel from the front to vortex could have been good, if they had more than one scareactor. Now for the pics. Trivia Question: This is not a picture of a roller coaster at carowinds. It is a picture of a picture. Who ever guesses what coaster it is gets fifty points, and whoever guesses where I got the picture gets infinity points! Hey look, he is touching BORG. He is so cool! Wow, I see about fifty thousand things that could cause Dan to die. Signature BORG partilly through the trees and infront of the giant death ball.(Notice the two prepositions.) I also liked Top Gun. A series of Top Gun pictures will follow. Hey look, Cosmo is a Philly Toboggan coaster car. How cute! Apparently the rule is you have to be a kid to ride the kiddie coaster. That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard! As you can tell we really like BORG There is Ricochet in all of its wild mouse glory. hurler, but this time it is not from the observation tower. Just kidding, it is from the observation tower. Top Gun from the observation tower. Vortex from the observation tower A nice overview of BORG from the observation tower Thats Vortex for you Vortex fans. This is something that has never happened before. There are two prepositions in this picture. Through the trees, AND behind the support. More assimilation. Oh no! Assimilation is occuring on all of those innocent people. That doesn't sound good. Loop......ed Arrow corkscrews generally are not fun, but this one is not to bad. Here is some B&M standup for all of you stand up fans. HORAY FLYERS! FLYERS! We look nothing like fighter pilots, although we are rideing the Jet Coaster. Top Gun through the trees! Yay fairly empty Top Gun station We are about to get Assimilated I HATE Atlanta traffic. I HATE IT!

The thing is, if a water park puts it in, they will make sure it is safe, or else they would never buy it. -

^ My guess is, to the general Public, yes. I really do think that this is a good Idea, and they might sell a few more season passes this year.
