I really love Schwartzkopf vertical loops. They are much more forceful than B&M's, plus they look cooler because they are more circular. -

On to the final leg of our trip!!! Beech bend is a nice little park with a fairly nice collection of flats, and a couple small coasters. Oh ya, and this little thing called the rumbler. Apperently its pretty good, but I will be the judge of that. (please note that I am obviously kidding.) So when we arive, we decide to head for spinning mouse #3. It is my least favorite of the three, because it is trimmed in every spot possibly. You almost stop right before the spinning starts. Oh well. Dragon kiddie credit! It has a banked lift hill, which is very annoying. Next we rode the death machine of death. Oh I mean Pinfari Looping Star. Owwwwwyyyy! That thing is bad. Rumbler time! No wait for back row. This is a fun ride. It is somewhat lacking in airtime,(ok, not lacking, but its just not comparable to say, Voyage.) but it made up for it in its out of control feeling, and extremely twisted layout. Oh, which reminds me. It had a very interesting description in the AAA book. It says "the most twisted coaster in at least seven states!" We rode most of the major flats, including SCAT 2. We found out the answer to the old question, What happened to SCAT 1? The Op said it was because it had two cages. That... kinda makes sense. Any way, while riding the Spinny space ship of justice, my camera flew out of my pocket it took five minutes to lift the seat and get it out. Your lucky too even be seeing these pictures. We did mini golf... ya. ITS OVER! Ahh I CAN'T BREATH!!! Weird loggy flume thing. Empty station = fun WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! These little hops are everywhere. I prefer Philly tobbogans. I like the trains. I dont know those people though. Anyway, Rumbler....ed Ahhh, thats what I'm talkin 'bout. Ahhh, GCI refreshment. Not as refreshing as some things I know......(Flashback to holiday world) It hurts! It hurts! OH NO!!! aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! (death) Hooray banked lift hill kiddie credit! Boo scary 2x4 footers... First up, spinny mouse #3!! This is the biggest sign they had. This is the road you drive down to get there. -

OK, here is day two at mount olympus and timber falls. We stopped at McDonalds for lunch before going to any parks. After we ate we headed to timber falls. All the park is is a roller coaster, a log ride, bumper boats, and a mini golf course. We bought our tickets for the roller coaster and walked straight on. Avalanche is an incredible ride. It doesn't look like much, but man does it pack a punch. There is tons of airtime throughout, and there are some pretty cool highly banked turns. I absolutly loved this ride even though I only got to ride it once. It takes the number three spot in my top ten wood, behind voyage and hades. After timber falls we headed to Mt. Olympus. First, once we got into the park we headed to our favorite little woodie, Cyclops. The airtime was scary good. Then we headed over to atlantis, since we had not gotten the credit the day before, but we found the line too long, so we did opa instead. After Opa we headed to hades. The line was at the bottom of the stairs, and only took about 20 minutes. We got to the station and got in line for the second to the last row which was the shortest. Then this Romanian ride op lady came up to us and said we had to the front. I asked if we could just wait for the row since it was our favorite row and it was the shortest row so we were not blocking people from getting to the other rows. She said no, we had to make our way to the front. That was nearly impossible since there was a huge crowd of people near the middle of the station blocking us from getting to the front. I showed her this and she said do it anyways. We kept on arguing that it would not make since to do that, but she insisted, so we moved up a few rows, and when she wasn't looking we moved back to the row we were in, and she didn't say anything. I don't know, I just hate ride ops that make up their own rules and try to enforce them on you, even if they don't make since. Oh well. Anyways, Hades was better than the first time I rode it. There was a little more airtime on some of the hills, and the tunnel was still very disorienting. Next we got in line for medusa's drop, which are some cool looking go carts. Suposidly you can get go cart airtime, but we couldn't even get close. Oh well. Next we did the water park. We thought it was kinda small, but what we didn't relise until after we left was that there was the biggest part of the outdoor water park behind the indoor water park. The water park was moderatly fun, but was a great way to cool off since it was really hot. Next we did Cyclops about five more times with no wait. then we did hades twice. After hades we ate dinner. After that it was starting to get dark, so we got in line for Posidon, which are cool go carts because they go under a small lake. These were much better than medusa's drop. After this it was dark, so we got in line for hades for a night ride. This was really good at night, and I got my best ride out of the five I got overall. We were going to get back in line for hades, but they closed off the line, so we did cyclops three more times. Overall the park was really fun, and we had a great time. Edit-Sorry for the two pictures that are flipped sideways. I forgot to rotate them. Cyclopsed I hate this hose. It gets you soaked, and it has no theming what so ever. Its just a plain old hose. This is one of the main reasons why it is my least favorite "roller coaster". That and the fact that it takes like ten minutes to finish this stupid ride. I guess its a credit. It sorta looks like one, but yet probobly should not be one. This ride gets you wet. And I mean wet. Like the kind of wet you usually don't want to get unless you want a credit really bad. Blur shot number three Yay disco, I guess Why can't I get go cart air time? WHY? Here is where I will get go cart airtime It makes my tummy hurt just thinking about the airtime I am not getting right now and now we are back at mount olympus Here is the imber falls sign. My grandma took this picture. This is the timber falls sign. Notice how I got all of the letters of the sign in the picture. and here is a picture of avalanche. AWESOME Avalanche looks cool Here we are at a really cool McDonalds. -

Best Drops....

Wood Cyclops' last drop-This is the most insane airtime ever. and I mean ever Any of the first four drops on the GA Cyclone-Second most insane airtime Hades' first drop-Really good airtime into a huge tunnel Voyage's first three drops-really good airtime Voyage' tripple down-Amazing airtime in the dark Steel Millennium Forces first drop-Just plain huge Sheikra's drops-Best dropping sensation I have ever felt Goliath at SFMM first drop-Huge drop into a tunnel The drop part of mindbender's inclined helix-So many G's! Raging Bulls first drop(even though the rest of the ride was terrible) Any Drops on SFOG's Goliath-Airtime on every single hill. -
Wood or Steel?
easytoremember replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I voted wood because they are usually rougher. I like being thrown around while experiencing extreem lat/neg. g's. In my oppinion this is way more disorienting than any number of inversions -

I found no ejector air on zeus and three spots of extreem ejector air on Cyclops -
I would have to say my favorite first drop is Hades in the back seat. The airtime combined with the tunnel at the bottom at the bottom of the hill is amazing. My second favorite is Georgia Cyclone's first drop. The airtime is just insane. Third place is voyage. The first drop is huge and has tons of airtime in the back seat.

What seat do you get the most airtime in? -

Are you sure you are not thinking of cyclops? On zeus I could only count one spot with real airtime, and that was on the double down. Where did you sit. I sat in the back row both times I rode it. -

After Great America we drove to the Dells. We got there at about noon and had to leave at about three, but we would return for another full day. First we headed to pegasas. I have no idea why. This ride was very boring. I know it was a junior coaster, but still for its size it was still boring. Next we did Cyclops. This ride is amazing. The airtime is plentiful on three occasions. The last drop of the ride is by far the best, and provides insane airtime. This was the most suprising ride of the trip for me, because I barely gave it a thought, but it turned out to be my fourth favorite coaster of all time. Next we did Zeus. This is not a terrible coaster, but it is not good either. There is one spot of fairly good airtime, and there are some good laterals, but other than that there is nothing special. After Zeus we went to Hades, which was the coaster I was looking forward to most on the trip after voyage. We had to wait at least 30 minutes, and the line was barely past the stairs. That is one thing I hate about mount olympus, the capasity. Each coaster only has one train, so lines go really slow, especially on Hades since it is so long. Anyways, once we got in the back seat we were on our way. I loved the pre lift almost as much as the post lift. There is tons of ejector air even before the lift, which was cool. The first drop is great too. You get tons of airtime and going straight into the tunnel is awesome. The only problem I have with it is the view is not very good, because you are just looking at the parking lot, but you know that soon you will be right under all of those cars. Once in the tunnel you are completly disoriented as you make quick turns and drops. The 90 degree banked turn is not very forceful, but still pretty cool, and I like it better than any of the 90 degree banked turns on the voyage. The turnaround gives you a chance to catch your breath, but then you are thrown into the best airtime hill on the coaster right before plunging back into darkness. On the return journey in the tunnel there is a nice oppocite banked section that tricked me the first few times I rode. After the tunnel there are a few more turns before the break run. Overall Hades is my second favorite coaster. It is very breath taking on your first ride. After hades we got the kiddie credit and did the spinning wild mouse, called Opa. We had no desire to ride Dive to atlantis that day, and it would be saved for the next day. After Opa we did Cyclops a few more times and got out of there, but we would be back. Hades has one of the coolest first drops ever. Hades THROUGH THE TREES This is a picture of Hades. It is going fast, like most roller coasters do. And now on to the main attraction. Hades! Here are people on Zeus Here is Zeus Little Titans THROUGH THE STATION! Yay empty Cyclops station! Oh wait, those are just the rows that we can't sit in. Apparently there is a lethal amount of airtime on Cyclops if you are under 18 and ride in the back car AIRTIME BORING This is the first thing you see when you enter the parking lot Here we are at mount olympus -
