  1. wow, I had not heard that. That is very unfortunate.
  2. What exactly happened at SRM2003 that would make ride ops extra careful? When I went to Holiday World I noticed that I was stapled on all of my four rides on Raven, but not once on Legend or Voyage.
  3. Quality of Coasers- Busch Gardens. Montu is my favorite invert, kumba is my favorite regular sitdown B&M, and Shiekra is just plain incredible. Quality of park- well Islands of Adventure is the most well themed park in existance, and Universal is pretty good. If you do end up at Universal, spende as much time as possible at IOA. Also, I was at Animal Kingdom that day as well, and it was PACKED. We left by about one and hopped over to Epcot. Magic Kingdom was closed due to capacity for a couple hours, and I believe Animal kindom was at some point also.
  4. Worked fine for me on the 27th. I got two rides on it at about 8:00. I love that ride.
  5. I have also had problems with the ride ops on Scorcher. Now they are lazy and dont say when the seats are going to lock, therefore many people get stuck and they have to go row by row helping all of the people who got stuck. That makes the scorcher have the worst opperations in the park besides SUF.
  6. Yes, I agree with mount Olympus. The operations are terrible there. All of the ride ops were mean and could barely speak english. I had a few incedents with these ride ops because they tried to inforce stupid rules that they made up, and could barely get the point across.
  7. Plus you got free passes to Busch.
  8. When you know what Gary Sinese has to do with Epcot.
  9. Well, living near Magic Mountain, its not a suprise that you have been on two really bad woodies.
  10. There looks to be a 90 degree banked turn right after the first drop. That would be crazy.
  11. I don't think El Toro is short because it ran out of breath. Looking at POVs it seems to have a good deal of speed left. There may be other reasons that it is much shorter than voyage, like money and space.
  12. The big reason voyage keeps its speed is the return run is all down hill.
  13. I might have to say Cyclops. I know many people like it, but not to the extent that I do. It is my fourth favorite woodie, and I like it better than many other higher rated coasters. That last drop is just so filled with that I love it to death.
  14. Have to agree with the Raven comment, have ridden it many times all over the train and still don't get what people see in it. How it was ever #1 amazes me. How it still ranks at #11 really amazes me. It's just average at best. I prefer the back seat of the Raven, as the drops are much more intense there. Apparently, the Raven is all about the night rides, which I haven't got to try yet, because HW closes so darn early. I personally can see why the Raven is a top 20 ride. It packs quite a fast, crazy ride for such small little coaster. Now, I think Cornball Express and Avalanche pack even crazier rides into small footprints. I also think Raven is over rated. I rode it about 5 times the day I was there, and I just couldn't see why people liked it so much.
  15. I have been on one of the worst, but have also been on the best.
  16. I don't see how everybody thinks Voyage is rough. Yes, it does throw you around, but I felt no real roughness. But then again I am able to tolerate the GA cyclone even on its worst day, so I guess my definition of rough is different than most peoples.
  17. I think hybrid was made much earlier than that, because the Coney Island Cyclone utalizes hybrid structure.
  18. No, not yet. That was making me kinda woried.
  19. One thing first: WORST. THEME. EVER. Im only going to ride it five more times. Today. I think it will be another popular, long line ride that will be generally hated by enthusiasts.
  20. I was suprised about a few things on this poll. First and biggest supprise was Kentucky Rumbler. I ranked it at ten or eleven on my ballot, and I have only been on 30 woodies. I thought it was fairly forceless, and had little airtime, so I was suprised it was that high. I was also suprised that the Georgia cyclone and Cyclops both fell pretty far. Those are two of my favorites, and the only two coasters I thought I would die on. Those two have the best airtime ever, and they are both in the 40s. I guess it is just because most people don't like rough woodies.
  21. I am personally am personally amazed that the voyage won all mutual rider comparisons. I also can't believe that El Toro placed so much higher than the preview new for 2006 results. It moved from 9th to 3rd.
  22. ya, it was pretty easy for me, there were only 58 coasters on the ballot for me, but I have ridden 81 steelies. Thats kinda sad, because that means that almost 1/4 of my coasters are either clones or kiddie coasters.
  23. of cource you think it is better, you haven't even been on el toro, lol
  24. Don't laugh, but Son of Beast. I rode it second row, and it was glassy smooth. Also any wildmouse, spinning or not. I just really like them. Some might also laugh that I like Georgia Cyclone better than Goliath, and Mindbender just as much as it.
  25. I actually liked Son of Beast. Not just because its tall and fast, or the loop. I just thought the helixes were pretty fun and intense.
