I was at the park yesterday - Tuesday and Iron Gwazi was running great!!! IMO it was windier yesterday than on Sunday and no shutdowns. My 2 day platinum pass preview total is 55. I'm loving it.2 points

Planning this is a little more involved than the typical park visits for me so all your suggestions are much appreciated. I have to make arrangements asap so it's great to be able to narrow things down. Thanks everyone.2 points

I tried to edit that post to add "mimmicks jerking off" at the end of it but I'm drunk at work (annual team meeting, stfu yall, I'm wearing a tie) and I can't figure out how to add that at the end. Maybe I shouldn't be daytime drunk TPRing.2 points

We just got back from the world's newest theme park and America's only park dedicated to Peppa Pig! Check out all the rides & attractions along with riding along with us on "Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster" which we nicknamed the "Maverick of Kiddie Coasters" since it has a lift hill AND a launch! Watch the video here:1 point

For God's sake. When are they posting 2022 hours for the park?! Anybody heard anything? I've got some plans to work on.1 point

this is becoming the norm, I did my Computer Science Bachelor's degree totally online and never stepped foot in a classroom while working full time.1 point

Most of the school groups stay more in the dry park from my experiences so the lines usually are filled with school kids during the day.1 point

Leave the option of night rides at KI after your day at KK open. Good chance you may be done with KK mid afternoon if you show up at open. And I'd recommend Cedar Point the day you drive up. At least get in SV line right before they close it for a night ride.1 point

Question for anyone who has gone to the park on one of the "school days" and/or any employees lurking on the board. We are planning on stopping by on Thursday 5/19 which I believe is the first of the school days. We'll be on our way to CoasterStock and want to take THE one and only Bert425 since he's never been to the park. However, I've never been there on a school days day. I suspect that all the kiddoes will be coming in on their big ole busses first thing at opening and as the afternoon drags on it will slowly dissipate. Anyone with experience know if that is true? And/or how swarmed are they likely to be? And/or any other info you can tell us? Our priority will of course be the 4 coasters, maybe the big 3 water park rides, a few flats if they aren't overrun with kids.1 point

It’s also a matter of flying out of airports where Spirit and Frontier compete. We always find the cheapest fares from PHL. Less competition is not going to lead to lower fares.1 point

In my opinion, this was never a serious offer. I think this was financial publicity for Sea World. A chance for them to say "hey everyone, we've got lots of available capital and we're doing great! "1 point

Emperor looks short but sweet. I think it's a solid addition to the lineup, and I'm very interested to see what difference the smaller trains make. I tend to find Dive coasters a bit... lumbering. But hopefully the smaller trains add a little quickness.1 point

If you do decide to do express pass, which I would recommend for a first visit, since you won't want to skip things; price out Royal Pacific. It is the "cheapest" of the deluxe hotels and super convenient to either walk or boat to citywalk and the parks, if you compare the price of hotel plus buying express pass versus Royal Pacific which includes express pass you will probably find there is not a huge difference. Also, if your sister wants to bail early and go hang at the pool it will be easy to do. I agree with Bill, do not miss the Bourne Stuntacular. My sons is the typical enthusiast that normally does not like to miss ride time to see a show and he loved it so much he went to see it two days in a row. We had a great meal at Big Fire a couple months ago. All 5 family members were happy with their food including the two picky eaters which are the oldest, age 77 and the youngest, age 18. Taking the two of them to any restaurant is it's own adventure.1 point

Cabana Bay is our go-to hotel at UO as well. But if you are going to get Express Passes, I would compare the cost of the more expensive hotels that include the Express Passes. For my family of 5, it's cheaper to stay at Cabana Bay as we only have to get one room and we just buy the tickets with the express passes added on.1 point

I love Cabana Bay and never stay anywhere else, but I've been super tempted by the higher tier ones that not only include Express Pass, but the water taxi. We took one from CityWalk once just for the hell of it and I can see that just being a lovely way to end a day at the park. CowFish at CityWalk is quite good, and I'm a huge Voodoo Donut fan. In-park you can't go wrong with Mythos but I also particularly like Three Broomsticks. And Florian Fortescue's has VERY good ice cream.1 point

I wouldn't plan any Tuesday or Wednesday trips in May or June if I were you. This year's plan to address their endless staffing shortages is to cut starting pay by 25%. Cedar Point Cedar Point now hiring for 6,500 jobs ahead of 2022 season: Starting pay drops $5 an hour compared to last year1 point

It was a very windy and kinda chilly day today at SFFT - which kept the crowds down, and most all of the coasters down as well. Roadrunner Express & Wonder Woman are really the only coasters that operated all day - tho Batman made an appearance about an hour prior to close, and operated as well. The wind gusts also kept several of the "big" flats, including Scream drop tower, Skyscreamer swings, and Joker Pendulum down most of the day. But most of the flats operated, and had an incredible time riding what was up and running despite the cold & wind. And YES.. Daredevil Dive was operating. . tho in "wind" mode, meaning the plane chassis didn't go to the top of the tower, and the planes flipped at ground level. . but was still a great ride. I got to ride in the Mardi Gras Parade, and also was able to get an up close tour of Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger post Parade - that was offered to those of us who had attended a casual meet up today for a Texas based group called Thrill Seekers United. . . and the absolute highlight of the day? Park President Mr. Jeffrey Siebert hopping onto our 3pm casual train ride (to ooo and ahhh over the coaster construction) and commandeering the mic at the back of the train to provide commentary and stats on the coaster being built! I'm not sure if most of the folks on the train realized.. but I sure did, and wow was that a wonderful treat. I'll have a full report up in the coming days over on the "Bert visits Texas Themeparks" thread but here are a bunch to share now: NOT the sign you want to see out front. . but we were expecting it due to the forecast. . lots of wind gusts, and chilly weather kept most of the rides down all day Skyscreamer is no longer on Flash Pass. . instead, that "lane" is now a dedicated lane for the "flight option" Mr. Siebert told me that they have 4 harnesses ready, but are only using 2 for the moment, and will keep them up until Spring Break to see how demand goes, before deciding if they want to install the other two Harness set ups. at only $5 a pop? that's SUPER reasonable! not many of the big rides are open today due to wind gusts, but the ones that are open? don't have much of a wait I got a Cajun Bloody Mary with my lunch today Holy . .that's a LOT of pig. look look look what's open!! yes, it was windy, and a bit chilly. . but you know what that meant? yup. . NO LINE! flume walk on. . . I'll bet CoasterBill thinks I have my priorities correct we got "moist" but not soaked. . as the spitting dragon wasn't on today. these are sprinkled thruout the park for the 30th Anniversary. . and I love em. hope they stay up for a long while. lookie who's on the mic for our ride on the train heh. . one more drink - frozen Hurricane this time - and I was certainly up for getting dressed up and riding in the Mardi Gras parade. it was fun to throw out beads to the folks watching the parade route. our crew of 4 on "our" parade float beaaaaaaaaaaaaads. . from the up-close construction tour. This coaster is gonna be amazing.. that lift his is steep - 45 degrees! these supports will be getting a patina. . and the two closest to the train tracks will be the "tester" ones. . so keep an eye on em!1 point
